²一些法利赛人想试探耶稣，就来问祂：“男人可以休妻吗？” ³耶稣反问道：“摩西怎么吩咐你们的？”

⁴他们说：“摩西准许人写休书休妻。”

²And the Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.

³And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?

⁴And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

²Some Pharisees^(A) came and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?”

³“What did Moses command you?” he replied.

⁴They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.”^(B)

²^(A)The Pharisees came and asked Him, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife?” testing Him.

³And He answered and said to them, “What did Moses command you?”

⁴They said, ^(B)“Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce, and to dismiss her.”
