1 有关上帝的儿子耶稣基督的福音是这样开始的。
2 以赛亚先知书上说：
“看啊，
我要差遣我的使者在你前面为你预备道路。
3 他在旷野大声呼喊，
‘预备主的道，
修直祂的路。’”
4 果然，约翰出现了，他在旷野劝人悔改，接受洗礼，使罪得到赦免。 5 犹太全境和耶路撒冷的居民都到约翰面前承认他们的罪，在约旦河里接受他的洗礼。
6 约翰身穿骆驼毛的衣服，腰束皮带，吃的是蝗虫和野蜜。 7 他传道说：“在我之后，有一位能力比我更大的要来，我连弯腰替祂解鞋带也不配。 8 我是用水给你们施洗，但祂要用圣灵给你们施洗。”
耶稣受洗
9 那时，耶稣从加利利的拿撒勒来约旦河接受约翰的洗礼。 10 耶稣从水中一上来，就看见天开了，圣灵好像鸽子一样降在祂身上， 11 从天上有声音说：“你是我的爱子，我甚喜悦你。”
耶稣受试探
12 圣灵随即催促祂到旷野。 13 祂在旷野受撒旦的试探四十天。祂与野兽在一起，有天使服侍祂。
呼召四渔夫
14 约翰被捕后，耶稣来到加利利宣讲上帝的福音，说： 15 “时候到了，上帝的国临近了，你们要悔改，相信福音。”
16 耶稣沿着加利利湖边走，看见两个渔夫——西门和他的弟弟安得烈正在湖上撒网捕鱼。 17 耶稣对他们说：“来跟从我！我要使你们成为得人的渔夫。” 18 他们立刻抛下渔网，跟从了耶稣。
19 耶稣往前走了不远，又看见西庇太的两个儿子雅各和约翰正在船上补网， 20 便立刻呼召他们。他们就辞别父亲和船上的工人，跟从了耶稣。
传道赶鬼
21 他们到了迦百农，耶稣在安息日去会堂里讲道。 22 那里的人都很吃惊，因为祂教导他们时像个有权柄的人，不像律法教师。 23 当时会堂里有一个被污鬼附身的人喊道： 24 “拿撒勒的耶稣啊，我们和你有什么关系？你是来毁灭我们吗？我知道你是谁，你是上帝的圣者！”
25 耶稣责备它说：“住口，从他身上出来！”
26 污鬼使那人抽搐了一阵，大叫一声，就出来了。 27 在场的人十分惊讶，彼此议论说：“这是怎么回事？真是充满权柄的新教导啊！竟然连污鬼都服从祂的命令。” 28 于是，耶稣的名声立刻传遍了整个加利利。
医病赶鬼
29 耶稣同雅各和约翰离开会堂，来到西门和安得烈家。 30 当时西门的岳母正发烧，躺在床上，他们立刻把这事告诉耶稣。 31 耶稣走到她的床边，拉着她的手扶她起来，她的烧立刻退了，便起来服侍他们。
32 日落之后，有人把病人和被鬼附身的人都带来见耶稣。 33 全城的人都聚在门前。 34 耶稣医好了许多患各种疾病的人，又赶出很多鬼。祂不准鬼说话，因为鬼认识祂。
在加利利传道
35 第二天清早，天还没亮，耶稣就起来独自走到旷野去祷告。 36 西门和同伴们四处寻找耶稣， 37 找到了，便对祂说：“大家都在找你呢！”
38 耶稣却回答说：“我们到附近的乡镇去吧，我也好在那里传道，因为我就是为这事来的。”
39 于是，耶稣走遍加利利，在各会堂传道，赶鬼。
治好麻风病人
40 有一次，一个患麻风病的人来到耶稣面前，跪下央求：“只要你肯，一定能使我洁净。”
41 耶稣动了慈心，就伸手摸他，说：“我肯，你洁净了吧！” 42 那人的麻风病立即消失了，他就洁净了。 43 耶稣让他回去并郑重地叮嘱： 44 “不要把这事告诉别人，要去让祭司察看你的身体，并照摩西的规定献祭，向众人证明你已经洁净了。”
45 但那人离开之后，却到处传扬这件事，以致耶稣无法再公开进城。祂只能待在城外的旷野，可是人们仍从各处来找祂。

Make ye ready the way of the Lord,

4 John came, who baptized in the wilderness and preached the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins. 5 And there went out unto him all the country of Judaea, and all they of Jerusalem; and they were baptized of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins. 6 And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and had a leathern girdle about his loins, and did eat locusts and wild honey. 7 And he preached, saying, There cometh after me he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not [f]worthy to stoop down and unloose. 8 I baptized you [g]in water; but he shall baptize you [h]in the Holy Spirit.
9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John [i]in the Jordan. 10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens rent asunder, and the Spirit as a dove descending upon him: 11 and a voice came out of the heavens, Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I am well pleased.
12 And straightway the Spirit driveth him forth into the wilderness. 13 And he was in the wilderness forty days tempted of Satan; and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.
14 Now after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the [j]gospel of God, 15 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe in the [k]gospel.
16 And passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net in the sea; for they were fishers. 17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. 18 And straightway they left the nets, and followed him. 19 And going on a little further, he saw [l]James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending the nets. 20 And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.
21 And they go into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught. 22 And they were astonished at his teaching: for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes. 23 And straightway there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 24 saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus thou Nazarene? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. 25 And Jesus rebuked [m]him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. 26 And the unclean spirit, [n]tearing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him. 27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What is this? a new teaching! with authority he commandeth even the unclean spirits, and they obey him. 28 And the report of him went out straightway everywhere into all the region of Galilee round about.
29 And straightway, [o]when they were come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with [p]James and John. 30 Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever; and straightway they tell him of her: 31 and he came and took her by the hand, and raised her up; and the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.
32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were sick, and them that were [q]possessed with demons. 33 And all the city was gathered together at the door. 34 And he healed many that were sick with divers diseases, and cast out many demons; and he suffered not the demons to speak, because they knew him[r].
35 And in the morning, a great while before day, he rose up and went out, and departed into a desert place, and there prayed. 36 And Simon and they that were with him followed after him; 37 and they found him, and say unto him, All are seeking thee. 38 And he saith unto them, Let us go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also; for to this end came I forth. 39 And he went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.
40 And there cometh to him a leper, beseeching him, [s]and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 41 And being moved with compassion, he stretched forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou made clean. 42 And straightway the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean. 43 And he [t]strictly charged him, and straightway sent him out, 44 and saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing the things which Moses [u]commanded, for a testimony unto them. 45 But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to spread abroad the [v]matter, insomuch that [w]Jesus could no more openly enter into [x]a city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.

Johannes der Täufer kündigt den Christus an (Kapitel 1,1‒13)
»Kehrt um zu Gott!« (Matthäus 3,1‒12; Lukas 3,1‒18; Johannes 1,19‒28)
1 Dies ist die rettende Botschaft von Jesus Christus, dem Sohn Gottes.
Alles begann so, 2 wie es der Prophet Jesaja angekündigt hatte: »Gott spricht:
›Ich sende dir meinen Boten voraus, der dein Kommen ankündigt und dir den Weg bereitet.‹«[a]
3 »Jemand ruft in der Wüste: ›Macht den Weg frei für den Herrn! Räumt alle Hindernisse weg!‹«[b]
4 Dieser Bote war Johannes der Täufer. Er lebte in der Wüste und verkündete den Menschen, die zu ihm kamen: »Kehrt um zu Gott und lasst euch von mir taufen! Dann wird er euch eure Sünden vergeben.«[c] 5 Viele Menschen aus der ganzen Provinz Judäa und aus Jerusalem kamen zu ihm. Sie bekannten ihre Sünden und ließen sich von ihm im Jordan taufen.
6 Johannes trug ein aus Kamelhaar gewebtes Gewand, das von einem Ledergürtel zusammengehalten wurde. Er ernährte sich von Heuschrecken und wildem Honig. 7 Johannes rief den Leuten zu: »Nach mir wird ein anderer kommen, der viel mächtiger ist als ich. Ich bin nicht einmal würdig, ihm die Schuhe auszuziehen.[d] 8 Ich taufe euch mit Wasser, aber er wird euch mit dem Heiligen Geist taufen.«
Jesus lässt sich taufen (Matthäus 3,13‒17; Lukas 3,21‒22; Johannes 1,32‒34)
9 In jener Zeit kam Jesus aus Nazareth, das in der Provinz Galiläa liegt, an den Jordan und ließ sich dort von Johannes taufen. 10 Als Jesus nach der Taufe aus dem Wasser stieg, sah er, wie der Himmel aufriss und der Geist Gottes wie eine Taube auf ihn herabkam. 11 Gleichzeitig sprach eine Stimme vom Himmel: »Du bist mein geliebter Sohn, über den ich mich von Herzen freue.«
Jesus wird auf die Probe gestellt (Matthäus 4,1‒11; Lukas 4,1‒13)
12 Kurz darauf führte der Geist Gottes Jesus in die Wüste. 13 Dort war er vierzig Tage lang den Versuchungen des Satans ausgesetzt. Er lebte unter wilden Tieren, und die Engel Gottes sorgten für ihn.
Jesus beginnt seinen Dienst in Galiläa (Kapitel 1,14–2,22)
Jesus verkündet Gottes rettende Botschaft (Matthäus 4,12‒17; Lukas 4,14‒15)
14 Nachdem Johannes der Täufer von König Herodes[e] verhaftet worden war, kam Jesus nach Galiläa, um dort Gottes Botschaft zu verkünden: 15 »Jetzt ist die Zeit gekommen, Gottes Reich ist nahe. Kehrt um zu Gott und glaubt an die rettende Botschaft!«
Die ersten Jünger (Matthäus 4,18‒22; Lukas 5,1‒11)
16 Als Jesus am See Genezareth entlangging, sah er dort Simon und dessen Bruder Andreas. Sie waren Fischer und warfen gerade ihre Netze aus. 17 Da forderte Jesus sie auf: »Kommt, folgt mir nach! Ich werde euch zu Menschen machen, die andere für Gott gewinnen.[f]« 18 Sofort ließen die beiden Männer ihre Netze liegen und gingen mit ihm.
19 Nicht weit davon entfernt begegnete Jesus Jakobus und Johannes, den Söhnen von Zebedäus. Die beiden waren im Boot und brachten ihre Netze in Ordnung. 20 Auch sie forderte er auf, ihm nachzufolgen. Da verließen sie ihren Vater mit seinen Arbeitern und gingen mit Jesus.
Jesus erweist seine Macht (Lukas 4,31‒37)
21 Nun kamen sie in die Stadt Kapernaum. Gleich am nächsten Sabbat ging Jesus in die Synagoge und sprach dort zu den Menschen. 22 Die Zuhörer waren von seinen Worten tief beeindruckt. Denn Jesus lehrte sie mit einer Vollmacht, die Gott ihm verliehen hatte – ganz anders als ihre Schriftgelehrten.
23 In der Synagoge war ein Mann, der von einem bösen Geist beherrscht wurde. Der schrie: 24 »Was willst du von uns, Jesus aus Nazareth? Bist du gekommen, um uns zu vernichten? Ich weiß, wer du bist: Du bist der Heilige, den Gott gesandt hat!« 25 Jesus befahl dem bösen Geist: »Schweig und verlass diesen Menschen!« 26 Da zerrte der böse Geist den Mann hin und her und verließ ihn mit einem lauten Schrei.
27 Darüber erschraken und staunten alle in der Synagoge; einer fragte den anderen: »Was hat das zu bedeuten? Dieser Jesus verkündet eine neue Lehre, und das mit Vollmacht! Seinen Befehlen müssen sogar die bösen Geister gehorchen!« 28 Schnell wurde Jesus in ganz Galiläa bekannt.
Kranke werden geheilt (Matthäus 8,14‒17; Lukas 4,38‒41)
29 Nachdem Jesus die Synagoge verlassen hatte, ging er mit Jakobus und Johannes in Simons Haus, in dem auch Andreas wohnte. 30 Dort erfuhr Jesus, dass Simons Schwiegermutter mit hohem Fieber im Bett lag. 31 Er ging zu ihr, nahm ihre Hand und richtete sie auf. Sofort verschwand das Fieber. Sie konnte sogar aufstehen und für ihre Gäste sorgen.
32 Am Abend, als die Sonne untergegangen war, brachte man alle Kranken und Besessenen herbei. 33 Die ganze Stadt war vor Simons Haus versammelt. 34 Jesus heilte viele Menschen von den unterschiedlichsten Krankheiten und trieb viele Dämonen aus. Dabei befahl er den bösen Geistern zu schweigen, denn sie wussten genau, wer er war.
Alle sollen die rettende Botschaft hören (Lukas 4,42‒44)
35 Am nächsten Morgen stand Jesus vor Tagesanbruch auf und zog sich an eine einsam gelegene Stelle zurück, um dort allein zu beten. 36 Simon und die anderen suchten ihn. 37 Als sie ihn gefunden hatten, sagten sie: »Alle Leute fragen nach dir!« 38 Aber er antwortete: »Wir müssen auch noch in die umliegenden Ortschaften gehen, um dort die rettende Botschaft zu verkünden. Das ist meine Aufgabe.« 39 Jesus reiste durch ganz Galiläa, predigte in den Synagogen und befreite viele aus der Gewalt dämonischer Mächte.
Ein Geheilter kann nicht schweigen (Matthäus 8,1‒4; Lukas 5,12‒16)
40 Einmal kam ein Aussätziger zu Jesus. Er fiel vor ihm auf die Knie und bat: »Wenn du willst, kannst du mich heilen[g]!« 41 Jesus hatte Mitleid mit dem Mann. Deshalb streckte er die Hand aus, berührte ihn und sagte: »Das will ich! Sei gesund!« 42 Im selben Augenblick war der Aussatz verschwunden und der Mann geheilt. 43 Dann schickte Jesus ihn weg und schärfte ihm ein: 44 »Sag niemandem etwas, sondern geh sofort zum Priester und lass dich von ihm untersuchen. Danach bring das Opfer für deine Heilung dar, wie es Mose vorgeschrieben hat.[h] So werden die Menschen sehen, dass ich im Auftrag Gottes handle.«
45 Doch der Mann ging davon und erzählte überall, wie er geheilt worden war. Danach konnte Jesus keine Stadt mehr betreten, ohne Aufsehen zu erregen. Er zog sich deshalb in einsame Gegenden zurück. Aber auch dorthin kamen von überall die Leute zu ihm.
