葡萄園工人的比喻
20 「天國好比一家的主人，一大早出去雇人到他的葡萄園工作。 2 他與工人彼此說好一天一個銀幣[a]，就派他們進他的葡萄園去。 3 大約上午九點[b]，他又出去，看見還有人閒站在街市上， 4 就對他們說：『你們也進葡萄園去吧，理當給的，我會給你們。』 5 他們就去了。大約中午十二點[c]和下午三點[d]，主人又出去，也是這麼做。 6 下午五點[e]左右，他出去看見還有人站著，就問他們：『你們為什麼整天閒站在這裡呢？』
7 「他們回答說：『因為沒有人雇用我們。』
「他就說：『你們也進葡萄園去吧。[f]』 8 到了傍晚，葡萄園的主人對管事的說：『把工人叫來，發給他們工錢，從最後來的開始，到最先來的為止。』
9 「那些下午五點[g]左右被雇[h]的人來了，每人領了一個銀幣。 10 那些最先被雇[i]的人也來了，以為會得到更多，可是他們每人也只領到一個銀幣。 11 他們拿到錢以後，就對那家的主人抱怨， 12 說：『這些最後來的人只工作了一個小時，而我們經受了一天的勞累和炎熱，你卻把他們和我們同等看待！』
13 「主人回答他們其中的一個人，說：『朋友，我並沒有虧負你。我們不是彼此說好了一個銀幣嗎？ 14 你拿自己的走吧！我願意給那最後來的，就像我也給你一樣。 15 難道我不可以用我的東西，做我願意做的事嗎？還是因為我好心，你就嫉妒了嗎[j]？』
16 「這樣，那些在後的，將要在前；那些在前的，將要在後。[k]」
第三次預言受難
17 耶穌上耶路撒冷去的時候，在路上單獨把十二個門徒帶到一邊，對他們說： 18 「看，我們現在上耶路撒冷去，人子將被出賣給祭司長們和經文士們。他們要定他死罪， 19 並且要把他交給外邦人去戲弄、鞭打、釘上十字架；然後在第三天，他要復活。」
受苦與服事
20 那時，西庇太兒子的母親帶著她的兩個兒子上前來拜耶穌，向他求一件事。 21 耶穌問她：「你要什麼呢？」
她說：「請准許我這兩個兒子，在你的國裡，一個坐在你的右邊，一個坐在你的左邊。」
22 耶穌就回答說：「你們不知道自己在求什麼。我將要喝的杯，你們能喝嗎？[l]」
他們說：「我們能。」
23 耶穌對他們說：「我的杯你們固然要喝[m]，但坐在我的右邊或左邊，不是我所賜的，而是我父已經預備給誰，就賜給誰。」 24 其他十個使徒聽了，就對這兄弟兩個人很不滿。 25 於是耶穌把他們召來，說：「你們知道，外邦人有首領壓制他們，也有為大的管轄他們。 26 你們當中卻不是這樣；相反，誰想在你們當中為大，誰就該做你們的僕人； 27 無論誰想在你們當中為首，誰就該做你們的奴僕， 28 就像人子來不是為了受人的服事，而是為了服事人，並且獻上自己的生命，替許多人做救贖的代價。」
治癒耶利哥的盲人
29 他們離開耶利哥的時候，有一大群人跟隨耶穌。 30 這時候有兩個瞎眼的坐在路邊，他們聽說是耶穌經過那裡，就呼叫說：「主啊，大衛的後裔[n]，可憐我們吧！」 31 眾人責備他們，叫他們不要做聲。可是他們越發呼叫說：「主啊，大衛的後裔[o]，可憐我們吧！」
32 耶穌就停住，叫他們過來，說：「你們要我為你們做什麼呢？」
33 他們說：「主啊，願你開我們的眼睛。」 34 耶穌動了憐憫之心，摸了他們的眼睛。他們立刻重見光明，於是跟隨了耶穌。

20 ¶ For the kingdom of the heavens is like unto a man, the husband of a house, who went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace
4 and said unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you. And they went.
5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour and did likewise.
6 And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle and said unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
7 They say unto him, Because no one has hired us. He said unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatever is right, that shall ye receive.
8 So when evening was come, the lord of the vineyard said unto his steward, Call the labourers and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
9 And when those came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a denarius.
10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more but they likewise received each one a denarius.
11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the husband of the house,
12 saying, These last have worked but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us who have borne the burden and heat of the day.
13 But he answered one of them and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong; didst not thou agree with me for a denarius?
14 Take that which is thine and go, for I desire to give unto this last one, even as unto thee.
15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil because I am good?
16 So the first shall be last, and the last first; for many are called, but few are chosen.
17 ¶ And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way and said unto them,
18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the princes of the priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death
19 and shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock and to scourge and to crucify; {Gr. stauroo – Hang on a stake} and the third day he shall rise again.
20 ¶ Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee came to him with her sons, worshipping him and desiring a certain thing of him.
21 And he said unto her, What dost thou desire? She said unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit the one on thy right hand and the other on the left in thy kingdom.
22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
23 And he said unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with; but to sit on my right hand and on my left is not mine to give, but it shall be given to those for whom it is prepared of my Father.
24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brothers.
25 But Jesus called them unto him and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and those that are great wield power over them.
26 But it shall not be so among you, but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
27 and whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your slave,
28 even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister and to give his life a ransom for many.
29 ¶ And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.
31 And the multitude rebuked them, that they should be silent; but they cried the more, saying, Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us.
32 And Jesus stood still and called them and said, What desire ye that I shall do unto you?
33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
34 Then Jesus, having mercy on them, touched their eyes; and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
