施洗約翰之死

14 那時候,分封王希律聽到耶穌的消息, 就對他的臣僕說:「這個人是施洗者[a]約翰從死人中復活了!所以這些能力在他裡面做工。」

原來,希律為了他弟弟[b]菲利普的妻子希羅迪婭的緣故,拘捕了約翰,把他捆起來關進監獄。 這是因為約翰一直對他說:「你占有這婦人是不可以的。」 希律想要殺約翰,可是怕民眾,因為他們認為約翰是先知。

到了希律生日的時候,希羅迪婭的女兒在眾人面前跳舞,使希律非常喜悅, 故此王就起誓承諾,無論她求什麼都給她。 女兒受母親的指使,就說:「請把施洗者[c]約翰的頭放在盤子裡給我。」 王就憂憂愁愁,但因所起的誓,又因一同坐席的人,就下令給她。 10 於是派人去,在監獄裡砍下了約翰的頭, 11 把他的頭放在盤子上,端給女孩,女孩就拿去給她母親。 12 後來,約翰的門徒們前來把遺體領去埋葬了,又去告訴耶穌。

五餅二魚

13 耶穌聽了這事,就上船離開那裡,獨自到一個荒僻的地方去。眾人聽到了,就從各城鎮徒步來跟隨他。 14 耶穌下了船,看見一大群人,就對他們動了憐憫之心,使其中的病人痊癒。

15 黃昏的時候,門徒們來到耶穌面前,說:「這是個荒僻的地方,而且天已經晚了。請遣散人群,好讓他們到村莊去為自己買些食物。」

16 但耶穌說:「他們不需要離開,你們給他們吃的吧。」

17 門徒們對耶穌說:「我們這裡除了五個餅和兩條魚,就沒有什麼了。」

18 耶穌說:「拿到我這裡來。」 19 於是耶穌吩咐眾人坐在草地上,就拿起這五個餅和兩條魚,抬頭望天,祝福了,然後掰開餅,遞給門徒們,他們又分給眾人。 20 大家都吃了,並且吃飽了。他們把剩下的碎塊收拾起來,裝滿了十二個籃子。 21 吃的人,不算婦女和孩子,約有五千。

在水面上行走

22 耶穌立刻催促門徒們上船,要他們先往對岸去;這期間,他自己遣散了人群。 23 他遣散了人群以後,就獨自上山去禱告。到了晚上,只有他一個人在那裡。 24 那時,船已經離岸有幾百公尺[d][e],由於逆風,被波浪沖擊。 25 天快亮的時候[f],耶穌在湖面[g]上行走,向他們而去。 26 門徒們看見耶穌在湖面上行走,就驚慌不安,說:「是幽靈!」他們害怕得喊叫起來。

27 耶穌立刻對他們說:「鼓起勇氣吧!是我,不要怕。」

28 彼得對他說:「主啊,如果是你,請吩咐我,從水面上走到你那裡去。」

29 耶穌說:「你來吧!」

彼得就從船上下去,在水面上行走向耶穌那裡去。 30 但是,他一看到風極大[h],就懼怕起來,開始往下沉,於是呼叫說:「主啊,救救我!」

31 耶穌立刻伸手拉住他,說:「小信的人哪,你為什麼疑惑呢?」 32 他們一上船,風就停了。 33 船上的人都[i]拜耶穌,說:「你真是神的兒子!」

在革尼撒勒治病

34 他們渡過去,到革尼撒勒上岸。 35 那裡的人一認出是耶穌,就派人到周圍整個地區,把所有患病的都帶到耶穌那裡, 36 懇求耶穌只要讓他們摸一下他的衣服穗子。凡是摸著的人,都得了救治。

施洗约翰被杀(A)

给五千人吃饱的神迹(B)

13 耶稣听见了,就离开那里,独自坐船到旷野去。群众听见了,就从各城步行来跟随他。 14 耶稣上了岸,看见一大群人,就怜悯他们,医好了他们的病人。 15 黄昏的时候,门徒前来对他说:“这是旷野的地方,时间也不早了,请叫群众散开,好让他们往村里去,买自己的食物吧。” 16 耶稣回答:“他们用不着离开,你们给他们吃吧!” 17 但门徒说:“我们这里除了五个饼和两条鱼,甚么也没有。” 18 他说:“拿过来给我。” 19 于是吩咐群众坐在草地上,拿起那五个饼两条鱼,望着天,祝谢了;然后把饼擘开,递给门徒,门徒又分给群众。 20 大家都吃了,并且吃饱了,他们把剩下的零碎拾起来,装满了十二个篮子。 21 吃的人,除了妇女和孩子,约有五千。

耶稣在海面上行走(C)

22 耶稣立刻催门徒上船,叫他们先到对岸去,他却留下来叫群众散开。 23 他解散了群众,就独自上山去祷告。到了晚上,他还是独自一人在那里。 24 那时门徒的船已经离岸数公里,因为逆风,被波浪冲击。 25 天快亮的时候(“天快亮的时候”原文作“夜里四更天”),耶稣在海面上向他们走过去。 26 门徒见他在海面上行走,就很惊慌,说:“有鬼啊!”并且恐惧得大叫起来。 27 耶稣立刻对他们说:“放心吧!是我,不要怕。” 28 彼得对他说:“主啊,如果是你,让我在水面上到你那里去。” 29 他说:“来吧!”彼得就从船上下来,行在水面上,走向耶稣那里去。 30 但他一见风浪就害怕,快要沉下去的时候,就呼叫:“主啊!救我!” 31 耶稣马上伸手拉住他,对他说:“小信的人哪,为甚么疑惑?” 32 他们上了船,风就平静了。 33 船上的人都拜他,说:“你真是 神的儿子。”

治好革尼撒勒的病人(D)

34 他们过到对岸,来到革尼撒勒的地区。 35 那地的人认出是耶稣,就把消息传遍了那一带。众人把一切有病的人都带来, 36 求耶稣让他们只摸一摸他衣服的繸子,摸着的人就都痊愈了。

希律认为耶稣是施洗者约翰

14 当时,加利利的统治者希律听说了有关耶稣的传闻, 就对他的手下人说∶“我想这个人的确是施洗者约翰,他肯定是死而复活了,所以他才能行这些奇迹。”

施洗者约翰被害

在此之前,希律王逮捕了约翰,给他带上锁链,投入监狱。希律是因为希罗底才这样做的,希罗底是希律王的兄弟腓力的妻子。 希律王逮捕约翰,是因为约翰曾经屡次告诫希律说∶“你娶希罗底是不对的。” 所以希律一直想杀害他,但又害怕百姓,因为他们都相信约翰是先知。

希律生日那天,希罗底的女儿为希律和宾客们翩翩起舞,这使希律很开心, 于是他发誓满足她的一切要求。 在母亲希罗底的指使下,女儿说∶“请把施洗者约翰的人头放在盘子里,端上来给我。” 虽然希律王很难过,但是因为他当着客人的面对她发过誓, 所以他只好下令满足她的愿望。 10 他派人去狱里砍下约翰的头, 11 把他的头放在盘子里端给女孩,女孩又把盘子端给母亲。 12 约翰的门徒们来为约翰收尸埋葬,然后去告诉耶稣所发生的一切。

耶稣给五千多人提供食物

13 耶稣听到这个消息后,便上船离那里,独自来到一个荒无人烟的地方。但是,人们听说耶稣走了,就从各个城镇步行跟随着他。 14 耶稣下船上岸后,看到一大群人,心中充满了怜悯,为病人治好了病。 15 傍晚十分,门徒们来到他身边,对他说∶“这地方很偏僻,而且天也很晚了,打发人群走吧,以便他们能去村庄里买些东西充饥。”

16 耶稣却说∶“他们不必离开,你们给他们一些吃的东西。”

17 门徒们说∶“我们只有五块面包和两条鱼。”

18 耶稣说∶“把它们给我。” 19 然后他吩咐众人坐在草地上,他拿起五块面包和两条鱼,举目望天,感谢上帝赐给的食物,然后他掰开面包,递给门徒,门徒又递给众人。 20 所有的人都吃饱了,然后,门徒们把剩下的零碎食物收拾起来,足足装满了十二筐。 21 当时吃饭的人,除了女人和孩子之外,大约有五千个男人。

耶稣走在水面上

22 然后,耶稣叫门徒们上船,告诉他们先到湖对岸去,他随后会过去,同时他解散了众人。 23 他解散人群后,独自上山祈祷。到了晚上,他依旧独自一人呆在那里。 24 这时,小船离岸已经有好几公里远了,船逆风行驶,在浪中颠簸摇晃。

25 凌晨三点至六点之间,耶稣踩着湖水向他们走去。 26 门徒们看见耶稣在水面上行走,都吓坏了,大叫∶“有鬼魂!”

27 但是,耶稣连忙对他们说∶“别担心,是我!不要害怕!”

28 彼得说∶“主,如果真是您,就让我从水面上走到您面前。”

29 耶稣说∶“过来吧!”

彼得下了船,走在水面上,朝耶稣走过去。 30 彼得发现湖面上风很大,有些害怕,结果他开始慢慢往下沉。他急忙喊道∶“主,快救救我!”

31 耶稣立即伸出手抓住他,说∶“你这个没有什么信仰的人,为什么疑虑呢?”

32 耶稣和彼得上了船,风停了。 33 船上的人都崇拜耶稣说∶“您真是上帝之子啊!”

耶稣治愈许多病人

34 他们渡过湖,在革尼撒勒上了岸。 35 当地人认出了耶稣,于是,耶稣到来的消息传遍了附近的整个地区。人们带着所有的病人来见他, 36 请求耶稣允许病人只摸一摸他的衣服。凡是摸过他衣边的病人都彻底痊愈了。

14 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,

And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife.

For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.

And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.

But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.

Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.

And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.

And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.

11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.

13 When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.

16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

18 He said, Bring them hither to me.

19 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.

21 And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.

22 And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.

23 And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.

24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary.

25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.

26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.

27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.

28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.

29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.

30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

34 And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.

35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;

36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
