35 耶穌坐下，叫十二使徒[a]來，對他們說：「如果有人想做首先的，他就該做眾人當中最後的，做大家的僕人。」 36 耶穌找來一個小孩子，讓他站在他們當中，又把他摟在懷中，對門徒們說： 37 「無論誰奉我的名接受這樣一個小孩子，就是接受我；接受我的，不是接受我，而是接受差派我來的那一位。」

35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”(A)
36 He took a little child whom he placed among them. Taking the child in his arms,(B) he said to them, 37 “Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”(C)
