傳統與誡命
7 有法利賽人和一些律法教師從耶路撒冷來見耶穌。 2 他們看到祂的門徒有些吃飯前沒有照禮儀洗手。 3 因為法利賽人和所有的猶太人都拘守古人的傳統，總是先照禮儀洗手之後才吃飯； 4 從市場回來也要先潔淨自己，然後才吃飯。他們還拘守許多其他規矩，如洗杯、罐、銅器等。
5 他們質問耶穌：「為什麼你的門徒違背祖先的傳統，竟用不潔淨的手吃飯呢？」
6 耶穌回答說：「以賽亞先知針對你們這些偽君子所說的預言一點不錯，正如聖經上說，
『這些人嘴上尊崇我，
心卻遠離我。
7 他們的教導無非是人的規條，
他們敬拜我也是枉然。』
8 你們只知拘守人的傳統，卻無視上帝的誡命。」 9 耶穌又對他們說：「你們為了拘守自己的傳統，竟巧妙地廢除了上帝的誡命。 10 摩西說，『要孝敬父母』，又說，『咒罵父母的，必被處死。』 11 你們卻認為人若對父母說，『我把供養你們的錢財已經全部奉獻給上帝了』， 12 他就可以不奉養父母。 13 你們就是這樣為了拘守傳統而廢除上帝的道，類似的情形還有很多。」
內心的污穢
14 耶穌又召集眾人，教導他們說：「我的話，你們要聽明白， 15 從外面進去的不會使人污穢，只有從人裡面發出來的才會使人污穢。 16 有耳可聽的，都應當聽！」
17 耶穌離開眾人，進了屋子，門徒問祂這比喻的意思。 18 耶穌說：「你們也不明白嗎？你們不知道嗎？從外面進去的，不會使人污穢， 19 因為不能進入他的心，只能進他的腸胃，最後會排出來，也就是說所有的食物都是潔淨的。 20 從人裡面發出來的才使人污穢， 21 因為從裡面，就是從人的心裡能夠生出惡念、苟合、偷盜、謀殺、 22 通姦、貪婪、邪惡、詭詐、放蕩、嫉妒、毀謗、驕傲、狂妄。 23 這一切惡事都是從裡面生出來的，能使人污穢。」
外族婦人的信心
24 耶穌從那裡啟程去泰爾和西頓地區。祂進了一戶人家，原本不想讓人知道，卻無法避開人們的注意。 25-26 當時有一個婦人的小女兒被污鬼附身，她聽見耶穌的事，就來俯伏在祂腳前，懇求祂趕出她女兒身上的鬼。這婦人是希臘人，來自敘利亞的腓尼基。
27 耶穌對她說：「要先讓兒女們吃飽，因為把兒女的食物丟給狗吃不合適。」
28 婦人說：「主啊，你說的對，但桌子下的狗也吃孩子們掉下來的碎渣呀！」
29 耶穌說：「因為你這句話，你回去吧，鬼已經離開你的女兒了。」
30 她回到家裡，見女兒躺在床上，鬼已經離開了。
醫治聾啞的人
31 耶穌離開泰爾地區，經過西頓，來到低加坡里地區的加利利湖。 32 有人帶著一個又聾又啞的人來見耶穌，懇求祂把手按在這個人身上。 33 耶穌就帶他離開眾人走到一邊，用指頭伸進他的耳朵，又吐唾沫抹他的舌頭， 34 望天長歎，對他說：「以法大！」意思是「開了吧！」 35 他的耳朵立刻開了，舌頭靈活了，說話也清楚了。 36 耶穌吩咐他們不要將這事告訴人。可是耶穌越是這樣吩咐，他們越是極力宣揚， 37 聽見的人都十分驚奇，說：「祂做的事好極了，甚至叫聾子聽見，啞巴說話！」

不可因传统废弃 神的诫命(A)
7 有法利赛人和几个经学家从耶路撒冷来，聚集到耶稣那里。 2 他们看见他的门徒有人用不洁的手，就是没有洗过的手吃饭， 3 （原来法利赛人和所有的犹太人都拘守古人的传统，如果不认真洗手，就不吃东西； 4 从街市回来，若不洗手，就不吃东西，还有许多别的传统，他们都沿袭拘守，例如洗杯、洗罐、洗铜器等等。） 5 法利赛人和经学家问耶稣：“你的门徒为甚么不遵行古人的传统，用不洁的手吃饭呢？” 6 耶稣对他们说：“以赛亚指着你们这班伪君子所说的预言是对的，经上记着：
‘这人民用嘴唇尊敬我，
心却远离我；
7 他们把人的规条当作道理去教导人，
所以拜我也是徒然。’
8 你们拘守着人的传统，却离弃了 神的诫命。” 9 耶稣又对他们说：“你们为了坚守自己的传统，而巧妙地把 神的诫命拒绝了。 10 因为摩西说：‘当孝敬父母’，又说：‘咒骂父母的，必被处死。’ 11 你们倒说：‘人对父母说，我应该给你的供奉，已经作了各耳板’（各耳板意思是奉给 神的供物）， 12 你们就不让那人再为父母作甚么。 13 这样，你们借着所领受的传统，把 神的话废弃了。你们还作了许多这一类的事。”
14 于是耶稣又把群众叫过来，对他们说：“你们大家都要听我说，也要明白： 15 从外面进去的，不能使人污秽，从里面出来的，才能使人污秽。”（有些抄本有第16节：“有耳可听的，就应该听。”） 17 耶稣离开群众，进了屋子，门徒就来问他这比喻的意思。 18 他对他们说：“连你们也是这样不明白吗？难道不知道从外面进去的，不能使人污秽吗？ 19 因为不是进到他的心，而是进到他的肚腹，再排泄到外面（“外面”或译：“厕所”）去。”（他这样说是表示各样食物都是洁净的。） 20 接着他又说：“从人里面出来的，才会使人污秽。 21 因为从里面，就是从人的心里，发出恶念、淫乱、偷盗、凶杀、 22 奸淫、贪心、邪恶、诡诈、放荡、嫉妒、毁谤、骄傲、愚妄； 23 这一切恶事，是从人里面出来的，都能使人污秽。”
叙利亚妇人的信心(B)
24 耶稣从那里动身到推罗（有些抄本在此有“和西顿”）境内去。进了一所房子，本来不想让人知道，却隐藏不住。 25 有一个女人，她的小女儿被污灵附着，她听见了耶稣的事，就来俯伏在他脚前。 26 这女人是外族人，属于叙利亚的腓尼基族。她求耶稣把鬼从她女儿身上赶出去。 27 耶稣对她说：“应该先让儿女吃饱。拿儿女的饼去丢给小狗吃是不好的。” 28 那女人回答他：“主啊，是的，不过小狗在桌子底下，也可以吃孩子们掉下来的碎渣。” 29 耶稣对她说：“就凭这句话，你回去吧，鬼已经从你女儿身上出去了。” 30 她回到家里，看见小孩子躺在床上，鬼已经出去了。
治好又聋又哑的人(C)
31 耶稣从推罗境内出去，经过西顿，回到低加波利地区的加利利海。 32 有人带着一个又聋又哑的人到他那里，求耶稣按手在他身上。 33 耶稣把他从人群中带到一边，用指头探他的耳朵，吐唾沫抹他的舌头， 34 然后望着天，长长地叹了一口气，对他说：“以法大！”意思是“开了吧”。 35 那人的耳朵就开了，舌头也松了，说话也准确了。 36 耶稣嘱咐他们不要告诉人。但他越是嘱咐，他们却越发传扬。 37 众人非常惊讶说：“他所作的一切事都好极了；他竟然使聋子听见，又使哑巴说话。”

7 Then the Pharisees and some of the scribes came to Him from Jerusalem.
2 And when they saw some of His disciples eat with common hands (that is to say, unwashed), they complained.
3 (For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, do not eat unless they have washed their hands, holding to the traditions of the elders.
4 And when they come from the market, they do not eat until they have washed. And there are many other things there which they have taken upon themselves to observe - such as the washing of cups and pots and of metal vessels and of meal mats).
5 Then the Pharisees and Scribes asked Jesus, “Why do not Your disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat with unwashed hands?”
6 Then He answered and said to them, “Surely Isaiah has prophesied well of you, hypocrites. As it is written, ‘This people honors Me with lips, but their heart is far away from Me.
7 ‘But they worship Me in vain, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.’
8 For you lay the Commandments of God aside, and observe the tradition of men, such as the washing of pots, and of cups. And there are many other such things that you do.”
9 And He said to them, “You reject the Commandment of God, that you may observe your own tradition.
10 “For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your Mother. And whoever shall speak evil of father or mother, let him die the death.’
11 “But you say, ‘If a man says to father or mother, ‘Corban’(that is, ‘By the gift that is offered by me, you may have profit), he shall be free.’
12 “So you don’t require him to do anything for his father or his mother,
13 “making the Word of God of no authority by your tradition which you have ordained. And you do many such things.”
14 Then He called the whole multitude to Him, and said to them, “Hear me, all of you, and understand!
15 “There is nothing outside of a man that can defile him when it enters into him. But the things which proceed out of him are those which defile the man.
16 “If any have ears to hear, let him hear.”
17 And when He came into a house, away from the people, his disciples asked Him about the parable.
18 And He said to them, “What? Are you without understanding also? Do you not know that whatever thing enters a man from outside cannot defile him,
19 “because it did not enter into his heart, but into the belly. And it goes out into the draught, which is the purging of all food?”
20 Then He said, “That which comes out of man, that defiles man.
21 “For from within, even out of the heart of man, proceeds evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 “thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, uncleanness, a wicked eye, backbiting, pride, foolishness.
23 “All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
24 And from there, He rose and went into Tyre and Sidon, and entered into a house. And He would have preferred that no one should have known. But He could not be hidden.
25 For a certain woman, whose little daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of Him and came and fell at His feet
26 And the woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by nationality. And she begged Him to cast out the demon from her daughter.
27 But Jesus said to her, “Let the children first be fed. For it is not good to take the children’s bread and cast it to the dogs.
28 Then she answered, and said to Him, “True, Lord. Indeed, even the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs.”
29 Then He said to her, “Because you have said this, go your way. The demon has gone out of your daughter.”
30 And when she had come home to her house, she found the demon departed, and her daughter lying on the bed.
31 And He left the coasts of Tyre and Sidon and came to the Sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
32 And they brought to Him one who was deaf and stammered in his speech and asked him to put His hand upon Him.
33 Then He took him aside from the crowd, and put His fingers on his ears, and spat, and touched his tongue.
34 And looking up to Heaven, He sighed, and said to him, “Ephphatha.” That is, “Be opened.”
35 And immediately his ears were opened. And his vocal chords were released. And he spoke plainly.
36 And He commanded them that they should tell no one. But as much as He forbade them, the more they proclaimed it.
37 And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well! He makes both the deaf to hear and the dumb to speak!”

That Which Defiles(A)
7 The Pharisees and some of the teachers of the law who had come from Jerusalem gathered around Jesus 2 and saw some of his disciples eating food with hands that were defiled,(B) that is, unwashed. 3 (The Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they give their hands a ceremonial washing, holding to the tradition of the elders.(C) 4 When they come from the marketplace they do not eat unless they wash. And they observe many other traditions, such as the washing of cups, pitchers and kettles.[a])(D)
5 So the Pharisees and teachers of the law asked Jesus, “Why don’t your disciples live according to the tradition of the elders(E) instead of eating their food with defiled hands?”
6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written:
“‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
7 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.’[b](F)
8 You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”(G)
9 And he continued, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe[c] your own traditions!(H) 10 For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and mother,’[d](I) and, ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’[e](J) 11 But you say(K) that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is Corban (that is, devoted to God)— 12 then you no longer let them do anything for their father or mother. 13 Thus you nullify the word of God(L) by your tradition(M) that you have handed down. And you do many things like that.”
14 Again Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen to me, everyone, and understand this. 15 Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.” [16] [f]
17 After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him(N) about this parable. 18 “Are you so dull?” he asked. “Don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? 19 For it doesn’t go into their heart but into their stomach, and then out of the body.” (In saying this, Jesus declared all foods(O) clean.)(P)
20 He went on: “What comes out of a person is what defiles them. 21 For it is from within, out of a person’s heart, that evil thoughts come—sexual immorality, theft, murder, 22 adultery, greed,(Q) malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. 23 All these evils come from inside and defile a person.”
Jesus Honors a Syrophoenician Woman’s Faith(R)
24 Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre.[g](S) He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret. 25 In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an impure spirit(T) came and fell at his feet. 26 The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter.
27 “First let the children eat all they want,” he told her, “for it is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.”
28 “Lord,” she replied, “even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.”
29 Then he told her, “For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter.”
30 She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.
Jesus Heals a Deaf and Mute Man(U)
31 Then Jesus left the vicinity of Tyre(V) and went through Sidon, down to the Sea of Galilee(W) and into the region of the Decapolis.[h](X) 32 There some people brought to him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk,(Y) and they begged Jesus to place his hand on(Z) him.
33 After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spit(AA) and touched the man’s tongue. 34 He looked up to heaven(AB) and with a deep sigh(AC) said to him, “Ephphatha!” (which means “Be opened!”). 35 At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.(AD)
36 Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone.(AE) But the more he did so, the more they kept talking about it. 37 People were overwhelmed with amazement. “He has done everything well,” they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

7 Llegaron de Jerusalén varios maestros de la ley y fariseos, y se acercaron a Jesús. 2 Notaron que los discípulos de Jesús comían con manos impuras, es decir, sin habérselas lavado. 3 (Es que los judíos, sobre todo los fariseos, jamás comen si primero no se lavan las manos como lo requiere la tradición de los ancianos. 4 Cuando regresan del mercado tienen que lavarse de la misma manera, antes de tocar cualquier alimento. Y siguen otras muchas tradiciones, tales como la ceremonia del lavamiento de vasos, jarros y utensilios de metal).
5 ―¿Por qué tus discípulos no siguen la tradición de los ancianos? ¿Por qué comen sin lavarse conforme al rito? —le preguntaron a Jesús los maestros de la ley y los fariseos.
6 Jesús les respondió:
―¡Hipócritas! Bien dijo el profeta Isaías acerca de ustedes:
“Este pueblo de labios me honra, pero lejos de mí está su corazón. 7 La adoración que me brindan no les sirve de nada porque enseñan tradiciones humanas como si fueran mandamientos de Dios”.
8 »Ustedes pasan por alto los mandamientos de Dios y se aferran a la tradición de los hombres. 9 Rechazan las leyes de Dios por guardar la propia tradición de ustedes.
10 »Moisés les dijo: “Honra a tu padre y a tu madre; y el que maldiga a sus padres muera irremisiblemente”. 11 Sin embargo, ustedes enseñan que una persona puede desentenderse de las necesidades de sus padres con la excusa de que ha consagrado a Dios la parte que les iba a dar a ellos. 12 Ustedes afirman que quien dice esto ya no está obligado a ayudar a sus padres. 13 Así, ustedes pisotean la ley de Dios por guardar la tradición humana. Este es sólo un ejemplo de muchos.
14 Pidió entonces Jesús la atención de la multitud y dijo:
―Escúchenme bien y entiendan: 15 Lo que daña a una persona no es lo que viene de afuera. Más bien, lo que sale de la persona es lo que la contamina. 16 El que tenga oídos, oiga.
17 Una vez en la casa, después de haber dejado a la gente, sus discípulos le preguntaron el significado de lo que acababa de decir.
18 ―¿Así que ustedes tampoco entienden? —les preguntó—. ¿No ven que lo que una persona come no puede contaminarla, 19 porque los alimentos no entran al corazón sino al estómago, y después van a dar a la letrina?
Con esto Jesús quiso decir que todos los alimentos son limpios.
20 Y añadió:
―Lo que sale de la persona es lo que la contamina. 21 En efecto, de adentro, del corazón humano, salen los malos pensamientos, la inmoralidad sexual, los robos, los asesinatos, 22 los adulterios, la avaricia, la maldad, los engaños, la lascivia, la envidia, la maledicencia, la soberbia, la insensatez. 23 Estas cosas malas salen de adentro y son las que contaminan a la persona.
La fe de una mujer sirofenicia
24 Jesús se fue de allí a la región de Tiro. Entró a una casa y deseaba que nadie supiera su paradero. Pero no lo logró, 25 pues pronto supo de él una mujer, cuya hija estaba endemoniada. Postrada a sus pies, 26 la mujer le suplicó que liberara a su hija del poder de los demonios.
La mujer era griega, pero de nacionalidad sirofenicia.
27 ―Primero se tiene que alimentar a los hijos —le respondió Jesús—. No es correcto que uno le quite el alimento a los hijos y lo eche a los perros.
28 ―Cierto, Señor, pero aun los perrillos comen bajo la mesa las migajas que caen del plato de los hijos —respondió la mujer.
29 Entonces dijo Jesús:
―Por haberme contestado así, vete tranquila; el demonio ya salió de tu hija.
30 Cuando la mujer llegó a la casa, encontró a su hija reposando en la cama. El demonio ya había salido de ella.
Jesús sana a un sordomudo
31 Jesús salió de la región de Tiro y se dirigió, por Sidón, al lago de Galilea, por la región de Decápolis.
32 Le llevaron un hombre que era sordo y tartamudo y le suplicaron que pusiera la mano sobre él. 33 Jesús se lo llevó aparte para estar a solas con él; le puso los dedos en los oídos y le tocó la lengua con saliva. 34 Luego, mirando al cielo, suspiró y ordenó:
«¡Efatá!»(que quiere decir: ¡Ábrete!)
35 Al instante el hombre pudo oír y hablar perfectamente. 36 Jesús le pidió a la multitud que no contara lo que había visto; pero mientras más lo pedía, más lo divulgaba.
37 La gente estaba sumamente maravillada y decía: «¡Todo lo ha hecho bien! ¡Hasta logra que los sordos oigan y los mudos hablen!».
