在格拉森驅趕汙靈
5 他們來到湖[a]的對岸，進了格拉森[b]人的地方。 2 耶穌剛下船，就有一個被汙靈附身的人，從墓地迎著他來。 3 這個人住在墓地裡，沒有人能捆住他，就是用鐵鏈也不行。 4 他經常被腳鐐和鐵鏈捆起來，然而他總是掙斷鐵鏈、打碎腳鐐。沒有人能制伏他。 5 不管黑夜白晝，他常常在墓地和山上喊叫，又用石頭砍自己。
6 他遠遠地看見耶穌，就跑過去，向他下拜， 7 大聲喊叫說：「至高神的兒子耶穌，我與你有什麼關係？我藉著神懇求你，不要折磨我！」 8 這是因為耶穌對他說：「你出來，汙靈！離開這個人！」
9 耶穌問他：「你叫什麼名字？」
他回答說：「我名叫『軍團』，因為我們眾多。」 10 他一再央求耶穌不要把它們趕出那個地方。
11 當時，那裡有一大群豬正在附近的山上吃食。 12 那些汙靈[c]就央求耶穌，說：「求你打發我們到豬群裡，好讓我們進入豬裡面去吧！」 13 耶穌[d]准許了它們，汙靈就出來，進入豬裡面。那群豬約有兩千頭，牠們從山崖衝到湖裡，在湖裡淹死了。 14 那些放豬的人就逃跑了，去把這事傳到城裡城外。於是人們就來[e]看發生了什麼事。 15 他們來到耶穌那裡，看見那曾經有鬼魔附身的，就是被『軍團』所附的那個人，穿著衣服，神志清醒地坐著，他們就懼怕起來。 16 那些看見的人，把發生在有鬼魔附身的人身上和有關豬群的事，都告訴了大家。 17 他們就開始央求耶穌離開他們的地區。
18 耶穌上船的時候，那曾被鬼魔附身的人懇求他，要與他在一起。 19 耶穌沒有答應，卻對他說：「你回家去吧，到你的親友那裡，告訴他們主為你做了什麼，以及他怎樣憐憫你。」 20 於是那個人離開了，開始在德卡波利斯地區傳揚耶穌為他做了什麼樣的事。眾人都感到驚奇。
少女復活、婦人痊癒
21 耶穌又上船渡到對岸。有一大群人聚集到他那裡，他就留在湖邊。 22 這時候，來了一個名叫睚魯的會堂主管。他一見到耶穌，就俯伏在耶穌腳前， 23 迫切地懇求他，說：「我的小女兒快要死了。求你來按手在她身上，好讓她得救治，能活下去。」
24 耶穌就與他一起去，有一大群人跟隨耶穌，並擁擠他。 25 有一個婦人，患了十二年的血漏病。 26 她在許多醫生手裡受了很多苦，花盡了她所有的一切，沒有任何效果，反而倒變得更嚴重了。 27 她聽說了耶穌的事，就夾在人群中，從後面摸了一下耶穌的衣服， 28 原來她想：「只要我摸到他的衣服，就會得救治。」 29 立刻，她的血漏就止住了，她也感覺到身體從病痛中痊癒了。
30 耶穌自己裡面立刻知道有能力從他而出，就在人群中轉過身來，問：「誰摸了我的衣服？」
31 他的門徒們對他說：「你看這群人擁擠著你，你還問『誰摸了我』嗎？」
32 可是耶穌環視周圍，要知道是誰做了這事。 33 那婦人知道發生在自己身上的事，就懼怕起來，戰戰兢兢地上前俯伏在耶穌面前，把真實情況全告訴了他。 34 耶穌對她說：「女兒，你的信救了你，平平安安地去吧。你從病痛中痊癒了吧！」
35 耶穌還在說話的時候，有些人從會堂主管的家裡來，對睚魯[f]說：「你的女兒已經死了，何必再麻煩老師呢？」
36 耶穌卻當做沒聽見他們所說的話，對會堂主管說[g]：「不要怕，只要信！」 37 然後他除了彼得、雅各和雅各的弟弟[h]約翰以外，不准別的人跟著。 38 他們來到會堂主管的家裡，耶穌看見一片混亂，有人哭泣，有人哀號。 39 耶穌進去對他們說：「為什麼慌亂哭泣呢？孩子不是死了，而是睡了。」
40 他們就譏笑耶穌。耶穌把他們都趕出去，只帶著孩子的父母和一起來的人，進入孩子所在的地方[i]。 41 他握著孩子的手，對她說：「塔利達，庫莫！[j]」——這翻譯出來就是「小女孩，我吩咐你起來！」 42 那女孩隨即起來，開始走動。她那時十二歲。大家立刻目瞪口呆，大為驚訝。 43 耶穌鄭重地吩咐他們，不要讓任何人知道這事，又吩咐給孩子吃東西。

5 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains:
4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.
5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.
6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him,
7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.
8 For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit.
9 And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
10 And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country.
11 Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.
12 And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
13 And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.
14 And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done.
15 And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
16 And they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
17 And they began to pray him to depart out of their coasts.
18 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.
19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.
20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
21 And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.
22 And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,
23 And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.
28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
29 And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.
30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?
31 And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
32 And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
33 But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
35 While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue's house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
37 And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.
38 And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.
39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
40 And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.
41 And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
42 And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
43 And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.

5 Cosí giunsero all'altra riva del mare, nel paese dei Gadareni.
2 E, come Gesú scese dalla barca, subito gli venne incontro dai sepolcri un uomo posseduto da uno spirito immondo,
3 il quale aveva la sua dimora fra i sepolcri, e nessuno riusciva a tenerlo legato neanche con catene.
4 Infatti piú volte era stato legato con ceppi e con catene; ma egli aveva sempre spezzato le catene e infranto i ceppi; e nessuno era riuscito a domarlo.
5 Continuamente, notte e giorno, fra i sepolcri e su per i monti, andava gridando e picchiandosi con pietre.
6 Ora, quando vide Gesú da lontano, egli accorse e gli si prostrò davanti,
7 e dando un gran grido, disse: «Che c'è fra me e te, Gesú Figlio del Dio altissimo? Io ti scongiuro, in nome di Dio, di non tormentarmi!».
8 Perché egli gli diceva: «Spirito immondo, esci da quest'uomo!».
9 Poi Gesú gli domandò: «Qual è il tuo nome?». E quello rispose, dicendo: «Io mi chiamo Legione, perché siamo molti».
10 E lo supplicava con insistenza perché non li mandasse fuori da quella regione.
11 Or vi era là, sul pendio del monte, un grande branco di porci che pascolava.
12 Allora tutti i demoni lo pregarono, dicendo: «Mandaci nei porci, perché entriamo in essi».
13 E Gesú prontamente lo permise loro; allora gli spiriti immondi, usciti, entrarono nei porci e il branco si precipitò giú per il dirupo nel mare, erano circa duemila, e affogarono nel mare.
14 Allora quelli che custodivano i porci fuggirono e diffusero la notizia in città e per le campagne; e la gente venne a vedere ciò che era accaduto.
15 Giunti che furono da Gesú, videro l'indemoniato seduto, vestito e sano di mente, lui che era stato posseduto dalla Legione, ed ebbero paura.
16 E quelli che avevano visto l'accaduto, raccontarono loro ciò che era successo all'indemoniato e il fatto dei porci.
17 Allora essi cominciarono a pregarlo che se ne andasse dal loro territorio.
18 Mentre egli saliva sulla barca, colui che era stato indemoniato lo pregava di poter rimanere con lui
19 ma Gesú non glielo permise; gli disse invece: «Va' a casa tua dai tuoi e racconta loro quali grandi cose il Signore ti ha fatto e come ha avuto pietà di te».
20 Egli se ne andò e cominciò a predicare per la Decapoli tutto quanto Gesú gli aveva fatto; tutti restavano meravigliati.
21 E, quando Gesú passò nuovamente all'altra riva in barca, una grande folla si radunò intorno a lui; ed egli se ne stava in riva al mare.
22 Allora venne uno dei capi della sinagoga, di nome Iairo, il quale vedutolo, gli si gettò ai piedi,
23 e lo pregò con molta insistenza, dicendo: «La mia figliola è agli estremi; vieni a imporle le mani, affinché sia guarita e viva».
24 Ed egli se ne andò con lui. Una grande folla lo seguiva e gli si stringeva intorno.
25 Ora una donna che aveva un flusso di sangue già da dodici anni
26 e aveva molto sofferto da parte di parecchi medici, spendendo tutti i suoi averi senza alcun giovamento, anzi piuttosto peggiorando,
27 avendo sentito parlare di Gesú, venne tra la folla alle sue spalle e toccò il suo vestito,
28 poiché diceva: «Se solo tocco le sue vesti sarò guarita».
29 E immediatamente il flusso del suo sangue si stagnò, ed ella sentí nel suo corpo di essere guarita da quel male.
30 Ma subito Gesú, avvertendo in se stesso che una potenza era uscita da lui, voltatosi nella folla, disse: «Chi mi ha toccato i vestiti?».
31 E i suoi discepoli gli dissero: «Non vedi che la folla ti stringe da ogni parte e tu dici: "chi mi ha toccato?"».
32 Ma egli guardava intorno per vedere colei che aveva fatto ciò.
33 Allora la donna, paurosa e tremante, sapendo quanto era avvenuto in lei, venne e gli si gettò ai piedi e gli disse tutta la verità.
34 Ma egli le disse: «Figliola, la tua fede ti ha guarita; va' in pace e sii guarita dal tuo male».
35 Mentre egli stava ancora parlando, vennero alcuni dalla casa del capo della sinagoga, dicendo: «La tua figlia è morta; perché importuni ancora il Maestro?».
36 Ma Gesú, appena intese ciò che si diceva, disse al capo della sinagoga: «Non temere, credi solamente!».
37 E non permise che alcuno lo seguisse, all'infuori di Pietro, Giacomo e Giovanni, fratello di Giacomo.
38 E, giunto a casa del capo della sinagoga, vide un gran trambusto e gente che piangeva e urlava forte.
39 Ed entrato, disse loro: «Perché fate tanto chiasso e piangete? La fanciulla non è morta, ma dorme»,
40 E quelli lo deridevano, ma egli, messili tutti fuori, prese con sé il padre, la madre della fanciulla e coloro che erano con lui, ed entrò là dove giaceva la fanciulla.
41 Quindi presa la fanciulla per mano, le disse: «Talitha cumi»; che tradotto vuol dire: «Fanciulla, ti dico: Alzati!».
42 E subito la fanciulla si alzò e si mise a camminare; ella aveva infatti dodici anni. Ed essi furono presi da un grande stupore.
43 Ma egli comandò loro con fermezza che nessuno lo venisse a sapere; poi ordinò che si desse da mangiare alla fanciulla.

Jesus Restores a Demon-Possessed Man(A)(B)
5 They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes.[a] 2 When Jesus got out of the boat,(C) a man with an impure spirit(D) came from the tombs to meet him. 3 This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. 4 For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. 5 Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.
6 When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. 7 He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me,(E) Jesus, Son of the Most High God?(F) In God’s name don’t torture me!” 8 For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!”
9 Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”
“My name is Legion,”(G) he replied, “for we are many.” 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.
11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” 13 He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.
14 Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened. 15 When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion(H) of demons,(I) sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 16 Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man—and told about the pigs as well. 17 Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region.
18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them(J) how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis[b](K) how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.
Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman(L)
21 When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake,(M) a large crowd gathered around him while he was by the lake.(N) 22 Then one of the synagogue leaders,(O) named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet. 23 He pleaded earnestly with him, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands on(P) her so that she will be healed and live.” 24 So Jesus went with him.
A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding(Q) for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes,(R) I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.(S)
30 At once Jesus realized that power(T) had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.(U) Go in peace(V) and be freed from your suffering.”
35 While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader.(W) “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”
36 Overhearing[c] what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
37 He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James.(X) 38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader,(Y) Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.”(Z) 40 But they laughed at him.
After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41 He took her by the hand(AA) and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).(AB) 42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. 43 He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this,(AC) and told them to give her something to eat.

3 Человек этот жил в могильных пещерах, и никто не мог связать его даже цепями: 4 его уже много раз сковывали по рукам и ногам, но он всегда разрывал цепи и разбивал кандалы на ногах. Никто не мог усмирить его. 5 Днём и ночью он бродил среди могил и по горам и с диким криком бил себя камнями. 6 Увидев Ису издалека, он подбежал к Нему, поклонился 7 и закричал во весь голос:
– Что Ты от меня хочешь, Иса, Сын Бога Высочайшего (Царственный Спаситель)? Заклинаю Тебя Аллахом, не мучь меня, – 8 потому что Иса говорил ему: «Выйди, нечистый дух, из этого человека».
9 Иса спросил:
– Как тебя зовут?
– Меня зовут Полчище[a], – ответил он, – потому что нас много.
10 И он настойчиво умолял Ису не выгонять их из тех мест. 11 А там у горы в это время паслось большое стадо свиней, 12 и нечистые духи попросили Ису:
– Позволь нам войти в этих свиней.
13 Иса позволил, и нечистые духи, выйдя из человека, вошли в свиней. Всё стадо, около двух тысяч голов, тут же ринулось с обрыва в озеро и утонуло в нём. 14 А свинопасы побежали и рассказали о случившемся в городе и в окрестностях. Сбежался народ посмотреть, что произошло. 15 Подойдя к Исе, они увидели, что бывший одержимый, в котором было полчище демонов, сидит одетый и в здравом уме, и их охватил страх. 16 Очевидцы же рассказали им, как всё произошло с одержимым и со свиньями. 17 Тогда местные жители стали просить Ису покинуть их края. 18 Когда Иса садился в лодку, то человек, который был одержим демонами, стал просить, чтобы Он взял его с Собой, 19 но Иса отказал ему.
– Ступай домой к своим родным, – сказал Он, – и расскажи им, что сделал для тебя Вечный, и какую милость Он к тебе проявил.
20 Тот пошёл и стал рассказывать в области Десяти городов о том, что сделал для него Иса. Его рассказ приводил всех в изумление.

– Моя маленькая дочь умирает, приди и возложи на неё руки, чтобы она исцелилась и осталась жива.
24 Иса пошёл с ним, а за Исой следовала большая толпа и теснила Его со всех сторон. 25 Там была женщина, двенадцать лет страдавшая кровотечением. 26 Она натерпелась от многих врачей, истратила на лечение всё, что у неё было, но не получила никакой помощи, напротив, ей становилось всё хуже. 27 Она слышала об Исе, и поэтому она подошла сзади к Нему сквозь толпу и прикоснулась к Его одежде.
28 «Если я хоть к одежде Его прикоснусь, то исцелюсь», – думала она. 29 Её кровотечение сразу же остановилось, и она почувствовала, что исцелена. 30 А Иса мгновенно почувствовал, что из Него вышла сила.
Он обернулся в толпе и спросил:
– Кто прикоснулся к Моей одежде?
31 Ученики ответили Ему:
– Ты же видишь, что толпа теснит Тебя со всех сторон. Что же Ты спрашиваешь, кто к Тебе прикоснулся?
32 Но Иса обводил толпу взглядом, чтобы увидеть ту, которая это сделала. 33 Женщина, дрожа от страха и зная, что с ней произошло, подошла, пала к Его ногам и рассказала всю правду. 34 Тогда Иса сказал ей:
– Дочь Моя, твоя вера исцелила тебя. Иди с миром и будь здорова от своего недуга.
35 Пока Иса ещё говорил, пришли люди из дома Иаира, начальника молитвенного дома, и передали:
– Твоя дочь умерла, зачем ещё беспокоить Учителя?
36 Но Иса, не обращая внимания на их слова, сказал начальнику молитвенного дома:
– Не бойся, только верь!
37 Он не позволил идти с Ним никому, кроме Петира, Якуба и Иохана, брата Якуба. 38 Когда они вошли в дом начальника, Он увидел смятение. Люди плакали и причитали. 39 Иса вошёл в дом и спросил их:
– Почему вы так скорбите и плачете? Девочка не умерла, она спит.
40 Над Ним начали смеяться. Но Иса велел всем выйти, а Сам с отцом и матерью девочки и Своими спутниками вошёл в комнату, где она лежала. 41 Взяв её за руку, Иса сказал:
– Талета куми!
Это значит: «Девочка, говорю тебе: встань!»
