⁹耶稣问：“你叫什么名字？”

他说：“我的名字叫‘群’，因为我们是一大群。”

¹⁰接着污鬼再三哀求耶稣，不要把它们逐出那个地区。 ¹¹当时有一大群猪在附近山坡上觅食。

⁹Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”

“My name is Legion,”^(A) he replied, “for we are many.” ¹⁰And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.

¹¹A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside.

⁹Then He asked him, “What is your name?”

And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” ¹⁰Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.

¹¹Now a large herd of ^(A)swine was feeding there near the mountains.
