39 耶穌進去對他們說：「為什麼慌亂哭泣呢？孩子不是死了，而是睡了。」
40 他們就譏笑耶穌。耶穌把他們都趕出去，只帶著孩子的父母和一起來的人，進入孩子所在的地方[a]。 41 他握著孩子的手，對她說：「塔利達，庫莫！[b]」——這翻譯出來就是「小女孩，我吩咐你起來！」

39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.”(A) 40 But they laughed at him.
After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41 He took her by the hand(B) and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).(C)
