治好癱子
2 幾天後，耶穌回到迦百農。祂在家的消息一傳開， 2 立刻有許多人蜂擁而來，連門外也擠滿了人。耶穌正給他們講道的時候， 3 有四個人抬著一個癱瘓的人來見祂。 4 但因為人太多，他們無法抬到耶穌跟前，就拆掉屋頂，對準耶穌所坐的地方，將癱子連墊子一起縋下去。 5 耶穌看見他們的信心，就對癱子說：「孩子，你的罪被赦免了！」 6 有幾個律法教師坐在那裡，心裡議論說： 7 「這是什麼話？簡直是褻瀆上帝！除了上帝之外，誰能赦罪呢？」
8 耶穌立刻看透了他們的心思，就說：「你們為什麼這樣心裡議論呢？ 9 對癱子說『你的罪得到赦免了』容易呢，還是說『起來，收拾你的墊子走吧』容易呢？ 10 但我要讓你們知道人子在世上有赦罪的權柄。」於是祂對癱子說： 11 「我吩咐你起來收拾你的墊子回家去吧。」 12 那人就站起來，馬上收拾好墊子，當著眾人的面走了出去。眾人都十分驚奇，讚美上帝說：「我們從來沒見過這樣的事！」
呼召利未
13 耶穌又出去到了湖邊。有一大群人圍攏過來，祂就教導他們。 14 耶穌往前走的時候，看見亞勒腓的兒子利未坐在收稅站裡工作，就對他說：「跟從我！」利未就起來跟從了耶穌。
15 後來，利未請耶穌和祂的門徒到家裡坐席，同席的還有很多已經跟隨耶穌的稅吏和罪人。 16 有幾位法利賽人的律法教師看見耶穌跟稅吏和罪人同席，就問耶穌的門徒：「祂怎麼會跟這些稅吏和罪人一起吃飯呢？」
17 耶穌聽見了，就說：「健康的人不需要醫生，有病的人才需要。我來不是要召義人，乃是要召罪人。」
論禁食
18 約翰的門徒和法利賽人都在禁食的時候，有人來問耶穌：「約翰的門徒和法利賽人的門徒禁食，為什麼你的門徒不禁食呢？」
19 耶穌對他們說：「新郎還在的時候，賓客怎能在婚宴中禁食呢？新郎還跟他們在一起的時候，他們不該禁食。 20 但有一天新郎將被帶走，那時他們就要禁食了。
21 「沒有人會用新布來補舊衣服，因為新布會把舊衣服扯破，破洞會更大； 22 也沒有人把新酒倒進舊皮囊裡，否則新酒會漲破舊皮囊，酒和皮囊都毀了。所以，新酒一定要裝在新皮囊裡。」
安息日的主
23 一個安息日，耶穌和門徒走過一片麥田，門徒一邊走一邊搓麥穗吃。 24 法利賽人批評耶穌說：「看看你的門徒，他們為什麼做安息日不准做的事？」
25 耶穌回答說：「大衛和他的部下在饑餓、缺糧時所做的事，你們沒有讀過嗎？ 26 在亞比亞他做大祭司時，他進入上帝的殿吃了獻給上帝的供餅，還給他的部下吃。這餅只有祭司才可以吃。 27 安息日是為人設立的，人不是為安息日設立的。 28 所以，人子也是安息日的主。」

Chúa Giê-xu chữa lành người bại(A)
2 Vài ngày sau, Chúa Giê-xu trở lại thành Ca-bê-nâm, tiếng đồn loan ra là Chúa Giê-xu có mặt ở nhà. 2 Dân chúng kéo lại quá đông khiến nhà chật ních, đến nỗi ngoài cửa cũng không có chỗ chen chân. Trong khi Chúa Giê-xu đang giảng dạy dân chúng về lời của Thượng Đế, 3 thì có bốn người khiêng một người bị bại đến. 4 Vì dân chúng tụ tập quá đông, họ không làm sao mang anh ta đến trước mặt Chúa Giê-xu được nên họ mở một khoảng trống trên mái nhà ngay chỗ Chúa Giê-xu đang nói chuyện và thòng người bại đang nằm trên cáng xuống. 5 Khi thấy đức tin của họ, Ngài bảo người bại rằng, “Con ơi, tội con đã được tha rồi.”
6 Mấy giáo sư luật có mặt tại đó mới nghĩ thầm rằng, 7 “Ông nầy là ai mà dám ăn nói táo bạo như vậy? Ông ta nói như thể mình là Trời. Chỉ có một mình Trời mới có quyền tha tội thôi.”
8 Chúa Giê-xu biết ngay ý nghĩ của họ nên Ngài hỏi, “Tại sao các ông thầm nghĩ như thế trong lòng? 9 Trong hai điều nầy, điều nào dễ hơn: Một là nói với người bại rằng, ‘Tội con đã được tha,’ hai là bảo, ‘Hãy đứng dậy, cuốn chăn chiếu mà đi’? 10 Nhưng tôi sẽ chứng tỏ cho các ông thấy Con Người có quyền tha tội trên đất,” nên Chúa Giê-xu nói với người bại, 11 “Tôi bảo anh đứng dậy cuốn chăn chiếu đi về nhà.” 12 Người bại lập tức đứng dậy, cuốn chăn chiếu đi ra trước sự chứng kiến của mọi người. Dân chúng vô cùng kinh ngạc và ngợi tôn Thượng Đế. Họ bảo nhau, “Từ trước tới giờ, chưa khi nào chúng ta thấy chuyện lạ như thế nầy!”

13 Chúa Giê-xu lại ra bờ hồ lần nữa, có dân chúng đi theo và Ngài dạy dỗ họ. 14 Trong khi Ngài đang đi thì thấy Lê-vi, con của A-phê đang ngồi ở trạm thu thuế. Chúa Giê-xu bảo ông, “Hãy theo ta,” ông liền đứng dậy theo Ngài.
15 Sau đó, Chúa Giê-xu dùng bữa tại nhà Lê-vi, có các nhân viên thu thuế, những kẻ có tội cùng các môn đệ Ngài ăn chung. Những người như thế đi theo Chúa Giê-xu. 16 Khi các giáo sư luật thuộc phái Pha-ri-xi thấy Chúa Giê-xu ăn chung với những người thu thuế và kẻ có tội, họ liền hỏi các môn đệ Ngài: “Sao ông ta ăn chung với phường thu thuế và kẻ có tội như thế?”
17 Chúa Giê-xu nghe vậy mới bảo họ rằng: “Người khoẻ mạnh đâu cần bác sĩ, chỉ có người bệnh mới cần thôi. Ta đến không phải để kêu gọi người tốt mà gọi tội nhân.”
Môn đệ Chúa Giê-xu bị chỉ trích(C)
18 Môn đệ của Giăng và người Pha-ri-xi thường hay cữ ăn trong một thời gian. Một số người đến hỏi Chúa Giê-xu, “Tại sao môn đệ của Giăng và môn đệ của người Pha-ri-xi cữ ăn còn môn đệ của thầy thì không?”
19 Chúa Giê-xu đáp, “Bạn của chú rể không cữ ăn khi chú rể đang còn ở với họ. Hễ chú rể còn ở với họ, họ không cữ ăn. 20 Nhưng khi nào chú rể đi rồi thì họ mới cữ ăn.
21 Không ai vá một viếng vải mới chưa bị rút vào lỗ rách của cái áo cũ vì miếng vải mới sẽ rút lại, chằng rách áo cũ. Lỗ rách sẽ càng xấu thêm. 22 Cũng không ai đổ rượu mới vào bầu da cũ. Rượu mới sẽ làm nứt bầu, rượu cũng mất mà bầu cũng chẳng còn. Rượu mới phải đựng trong bầu da mới.”
Chúa Giê-xu là Chúa của ngày Sa-bát(D)
23 Vào ngày Sa-bát nọ, Chúa Giê-xu đi qua cánh đồng lúa, các môn đệ Ngài vừa đi vừa bứt bông lúa ăn. 24 Người Pha-ri-xi thấy thế mới hỏi, “Tại sao môn đệ của thầy làm điều trái phép trong ngày Sa-bát?”
25 Chúa Giê-xu đáp, “Thế các ông chưa đọc điều Đa-vít và những bạn đồng hành làm khi bị đói sao? 26 Trong thời A-bia-tha làm thầy tế lễ tối cao, Đa-vít vào lều của Thượng Đế, lấy bánh thánh ăn, loại bánh mà chỉ có thầy tế lễ mới được phép ăn. Ông ta cũng cho các bạn đồng hành ăn nữa.”
27 Rồi Chúa Giê-xu bảo người Pha-ri-xi “Ngày Sa-bát được lập ra để giúp loài người; chứ loài người không phải được dựng nên để lệ thuộc ngày Sa-bát. 28 Vì thế, Con Người cũng là Chúa của ngày Sa-bát.”

2 And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in the house.
2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.
3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
6 But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?
8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?
9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.
12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
13 And he went forth again by the sea side; and all the multitude resorted unto him, and he taught them.
14 And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.
15 And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him.
16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
18 And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?
19 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.
20 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.
21 No man also seweth a piece of new cloth on an old garment: else the new piece that filled it up taketh away from the old, and the rent is made worse.
22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.
23 And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.
24 And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful?
25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?
26 How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?
27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic(A)
2 And again (B)He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. 2 [a]Immediately many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. 3 Then they came to Him, bringing a (C)paralytic who was carried by four men. 4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
6 And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, 7 “Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? (D)Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
8 But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? 9 (E)Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has [b]power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.” 12 Immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and (F)glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
Matthew the Tax Collector(G)
13 (H)Then He went out again by the sea; and all the multitude came to Him, and He taught them. 14 (I)As He passed by, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, (J)“Follow Me.” So he arose and (K)followed Him.
15 (L)Now it happened, as He was dining in Levi’s house, that many tax collectors and sinners also sat together with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many, and they followed Him. 16 And when the scribes [c]and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, “How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”
17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, (M)“Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, [d]to repentance.”
Jesus Is Questioned About Fasting(N)
18 (O)The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasting. Then they came and said to Him, “Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?”
19 And Jesus said to them, “Can the [e]friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast. 20 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be (P)taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days. 21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; or else the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear is made worse. 22 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.”
Jesus Is Lord of the Sabbath(Q)
23 (R)Now it happened that He went through the grainfields on the Sabbath; and as they went His disciples began (S)to pluck the heads of grain. 24 And the Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is (T)not lawful on the Sabbath?”
25 But He said to them, “Have you never read (U)what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and those with him: 26 how he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the showbread, (V)which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and also gave some to those who were with him?”
27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the (W)Sabbath. 28 Therefore (X)the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”
