耶穌在彼拉多面前受審
15 清早，祭司長、長老、律法教師和全公會的人商定後，便把耶穌綁起來押送到彼拉多那裡。
2 彼拉多問耶穌：「你是猶太人的王嗎？」
耶穌回答說：「如你所言。」
3 祭司長控告耶穌許多罪。
4 彼拉多又問道：「你看，他們控告你這麼多，你都不回答嗎？」
5 耶穌仍舊一言不發，彼拉多感到驚奇。
6 每年逾越節的時候，彼拉多都會照慣例按猶太人的要求釋放一個囚犯。 7 那時，有一個囚犯名叫巴拉巴，與其他作亂時殺過人的囚犯關在一起。 8 百姓聚來，要求彼拉多照慣例釋放囚犯。
9 彼拉多問：「你們要我為你們釋放猶太人的王嗎？」 10 因為他知道祭司長把耶穌押來是出於妒忌。 11 但祭司長卻煽動百姓，叫他們要求彼拉多釋放巴拉巴。
12 彼拉多只好問：「那麼，這位你們稱之為猶太人之王的，我如何處置呢？」
13 他們喊著說：「把祂釘在十字架上！」
14 彼拉多問：「為什麼？祂犯了什麼罪？」
他們卻更大聲地喊：「把祂釘在十字架上！」
15 為了取悅眾人，彼拉多釋放了巴拉巴，命人將耶穌鞭打後帶出去釘十字架。
耶穌受辱
16 於是，衛兵把耶穌帶進總督府的院子，集合了全營的兵。 17 他們給祂穿上紫袍，用荊棘編成王冠戴在祂頭上， 18 向祂行禮，並喊著說：「猶太人的王萬歲！」 19 他們用葦稈打祂的頭，向祂吐唾沫，跪拜祂。 20 戲弄完了，就脫去祂的紫袍，給祂穿上原來的衣服，押祂出去釘十字架。
釘十字架
21 亞歷山大和魯孚的父親古利奈人西門從鄉下來，途經那地方，衛兵就強迫他背耶穌的十字架。 22 他們把耶穌帶到各各他——意思是「髑髏地」， 23 拿沒藥調和的酒給祂喝，但祂不肯喝。 24 他們把耶穌釘在十字架上，還抽籤分祂的衣服。 25 他們釘祂十字架的時間是在上午九點鐘。 26 祂的罪狀牌上寫著「猶太人的王」。
27 他們還把兩個強盜釘在十字架上，一個在祂右邊，一個在祂左邊， 28 這應驗了聖經的話：「祂被列在罪犯中。」 29 過路的人都嘲笑祂，搖著頭說：「哈，你這要把聖殿拆毀又在三天內重建的人啊， 30 救救你自己，從十字架上下來吧！」
31 祭司長和律法教師也嘲諷說：「祂救了別人，卻救不了自己！ 32 以色列的王基督，現在從十字架上下來吧！讓我們看看，我們就信了！」與祂同釘十字架的強盜也對祂出言不遜。
耶穌之死
33 正午時分，黑暗籠罩著整個大地，一直到下午三點。 34 大約在三點，耶穌大聲呼喊：「以羅伊，以羅伊，拉馬撒巴各大尼？」意思是：「我的上帝，我的上帝，你為什麼離棄我？」
35 有些站在旁邊的人聽見了，就說：「聽，祂在呼叫以利亞。」
36 有人跑去把一塊海綿蘸滿酸酒，綁在葦稈上送給祂喝，說：「等等，讓我們看看以利亞會不會救祂下來。」
37 耶穌大叫一聲，就斷了氣。 38 聖殿的幔子從上到下裂成兩半。 39 站在對面的百夫長看見耶穌喊叫[a]斷氣的情形，便說：「這人真是上帝的兒子！」
40 有些婦女在遠處觀看，其中有抹大拉的瑪麗亞、小雅各和約西的母親瑪麗亞並撒羅米。 41 耶穌在加利利時，她們已經跟隨祂、服侍祂了。此外還有好些跟著祂上耶路撒冷的婦女。
安葬耶穌
42 那天是猶太人的預備日，也就是安息日的前一天。傍晚， 43 亞利馬太人約瑟鼓起勇氣去見彼拉多，要求領取耶穌的遺體。他是一位德高望重的公會議員，一位等候上帝國降臨的人。 44 彼拉多聽見耶穌已經死了，十分驚訝，便把百夫長召來問個明白， 45 得知耶穌確實已死，便將耶穌的遺體交給約瑟。
46 約瑟把耶穌的遺體取下來，用買來的細麻布裹好，安放在一個在岩壁上鑿出的墓穴裡，又滾來一塊大石頭堵住洞口。 47 抹大拉的瑪麗亞和約西的母親瑪麗亞都親眼看到了安葬耶穌的地方。

O julgamento de Jesus diante de Pilatos
15 De manhã bem cedo, os principais sacerdotes, os líderes do povo e os mestres da lei — todo o alto conselho[a] — se reuniram para discutir o que fariam em seguida. Então amarraram Jesus, o levaram e o entregaram a Pilatos.
2 Pilatos lhe perguntou: “Você é o rei dos judeus?”.
Jesus respondeu: “É como você diz”.
3 Os principais sacerdotes o acusaram de vários crimes, 4 e Pilatos perguntou: “Você não vai responder? O que diz de todas essas acusações?”. 5 Mas, para surpresa de Pilatos, Jesus não disse coisa alguma.
6 A cada ano, durante a festa da Páscoa, era costume libertar um prisioneiro, qualquer um que a multidão escolhesse. 7 Um dos prisioneiros era Barrabás, um revolucionário que havia cometido assassinato durante uma revolta. 8 A multidão foi a Pilatos e pediu que ele libertasse um prisioneiro, como de costume.
9 Pilatos perguntou: “Querem que eu solte o ‘rei dos judeus’?”. 10 (Pois havia percebido que os principais sacerdotes tinham prendido Jesus por inveja.) 11 Nesse momento, os principais sacerdotes instigaram a multidão a pedir a libertação de Barrabás em vez de Jesus. 12 Pilatos lhes perguntou: “Então o que farei com este homem que vocês chamam de ‘rei dos judeus’?”.
13 “Crucifique-o!”, gritou a multidão.
14 “Por quê?”, quis saber Pilatos. “Que crime ele cometeu?”
Mas a multidão gritou ainda mais alto: “Crucifique-o!”.
15 Para acalmar a multidão, Pilatos lhes soltou Barrabás. Então, depois de mandar açoitar Jesus, entregou-o aos soldados romanos para que fosse crucificado.
Os soldados zombam de Jesus
16 Os soldados levaram Jesus para o palácio do governador (lugar conhecido como Pretório) e chamaram todo o regimento. 17 Vestiram Jesus com um manto vermelho, teceram uma coroa de espinhos e a colocaram em sua cabeça. 18 Então o saudavam, zombando: “Salve, rei dos judeus!”. 19 Batiam em sua cabeça com uma vara, cuspiam nele e ajoelhavam-se, fingindo adorá-lo. 20 Quando se cansaram de zombar dele, tiraram o manto vermelho e o vestiram com suas roupas. Então o levaram para ser crucificado.
A crucificação
21 Um homem chamado Simão, de Cirene,[b] passava ali naquele momento, vindo do campo. Os soldados o obrigaram a carregar a cruz. (Simão era pai de Alexandre e Rufo.) 22 Levaram Jesus a um lugar chamado Gólgota (que quer dizer “Lugar da Caveira”). 23 Ofereceram-lhe vinho misturado com mirra, mas ele recusou.
24 Então os soldados o pregaram na cruz. Depois, dividiram as roupas dele e tiraram sortes para decidir quem ficava com cada peça. 25 Eram nove horas da manhã quando o crucificaram. 26 Uma tabuleta anunciava a acusação feita contra ele: “O Rei dos Judeus”. 27 Dois criminosos foram crucificados com ele, um à sua direita e outro à sua esquerda. 28 Assim, cumpriram-se as Escrituras que diziam: “Ele foi contado entre os rebeldes”.[c]
29 O povo que passava por ali gritava insultos e sacudia a cabeça em zombaria. “Olhe só!”, gritavam. “Você disse que destruiria o templo e o reconstruiria em três dias. 30 Pois bem, salve a si mesmo e desça da cruz!”
31 Os principais sacerdotes e os mestres da lei também zombavam de Jesus. “Salvou os outros, mas não pode salvar a si mesmo!”, diziam. 32 “Que esse Cristo, o rei de Israel, desça da cruz agora mesmo para que vejamos e creiamos nele!” Até os homens crucificados com Jesus o insultavam.
A morte de Jesus
33 Ao meio-dia, desceu sobre toda a terra uma escuridão que durou três horas. 34 Por volta das três da tarde, Jesus clamou em alta voz: “Eloí, Eloí, lamá sabactâni?”, que quer dizer: “Meu Deus, meu Deus, por que me abandonaste?”.[d]
35 Alguns dos que estavam ali, ouvindo isso, disseram: “Ele está chamando Elias”. 36 Um deles correu, ensopou uma esponja com vinagre e a ergueu num caniço para que ele bebesse. “Esperem!”, disse ele. “Vamos ver se Elias vem tirá-lo daí.”
37 Então Jesus clamou em alta voz e deu o último suspiro. 38 A cortina do santuário do templo se rasgou em duas partes, de cima até embaixo.
39 Quando o oficial romano[e] que estava diante dele[f] viu como ele havia morrido, exclamou: “Este homem era verdadeiramente o Filho de Deus!”.
40 Algumas mulheres observavam de longe. Entre elas estavam Maria Madalena, Maria, mãe de Tiago, o mais jovem, e de José,[g] e Salomé. 41 Eram seguidoras de Jesus e o haviam servido na Galileia. Também estavam ali muitas mulheres que foram com ele a Jerusalém.
O sepultamento de Jesus
42 Tudo isso aconteceu na sexta-feira, o dia da preparação, antes do sábado. Ao entardecer, 43 José de Arimateia foi corajosamente a Pilatos e pediu o corpo de Jesus. (José era um membro respeitado do conselho dos líderes do povo e esperava a chegada do reino de Deus.) 44 Surpreso com o fato de Jesus já estar morto, Pilatos chamou o oficial romano e perguntou se fazia muito tempo que ele havia morrido. 45 O oficial confirmou que Jesus estava morto, e Pilatos disse a José que podia levar o corpo. 46 José comprou um lençol de linho, desceu o corpo de Jesus da cruz, envolveu-o no lençol e colocou-o num túmulo escavado na rocha. Então rolou uma grande pedra na entrada do túmulo. 47 Maria Madalena e Maria, mãe de José, viram onde o corpo de Jesus tinha sido sepultado.

Jesus Before Pilate(A)
15 Very early in the morning, the chief priests, with the elders, the teachers of the law(B) and the whole Sanhedrin,(C) made their plans. So they bound Jesus, led him away and handed him over to Pilate.(D)
2 “Are you the king of the Jews?”(E) asked Pilate.
“You have said so,” Jesus replied.
3 The chief priests accused him of many things. 4 So again Pilate asked him, “Aren’t you going to answer? See how many things they are accusing you of.”
5 But Jesus still made no reply,(F) and Pilate was amazed.
6 Now it was the custom at the festival to release a prisoner whom the people requested. 7 A man called Barabbas was in prison with the insurrectionists who had committed murder in the uprising. 8 The crowd came up and asked Pilate to do for them what he usually did.
9 “Do you want me to release to you the king of the Jews?”(G) asked Pilate, 10 knowing it was out of self-interest that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him. 11 But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have Pilate release Barabbas(H) instead.
12 “What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?” Pilate asked them.
13 “Crucify him!” they shouted.
14 “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate.
But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”
15 Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged,(I) and handed him over to be crucified.
The Soldiers Mock Jesus(J)
16 The soldiers led Jesus away into the palace(K) (that is, the Praetorium) and called together the whole company of soldiers. 17 They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him. 18 And they began to call out to him, “Hail, king of the Jews!”(L) 19 Again and again they struck him on the head with a staff and spit on him. Falling on their knees, they paid homage to him. 20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out(M) to crucify him.
The Crucifixion of Jesus(N)
21 A certain man from Cyrene,(O) Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus,(P) was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the cross.(Q) 22 They brought Jesus to the place called Golgotha (which means “the place of the skull”). 23 Then they offered him wine mixed with myrrh,(R) but he did not take it. 24 And they crucified him. Dividing up his clothes, they cast lots(S) to see what each would get.
25 It was nine in the morning when they crucified him. 26 The written notice of the charge against him read: the king of the jews.(T)
27 They crucified two rebels with him, one on his right and one on his left. [28] [a] 29 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads(U) and saying, “So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days,(V) 30 come down from the cross and save yourself!” 31 In the same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him(W) among themselves. “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! 32 Let this Messiah,(X) this king of Israel,(Y) come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe.” Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him.
The Death of Jesus(Z)
33 At noon, darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon.(AA) 34 And at three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).[b](AB)
35 When some of those standing near heard this, they said, “Listen, he’s calling Elijah.”
36 Someone ran, filled a sponge with wine vinegar,(AC) put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. “Now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to take him down,” he said.
37 With a loud cry, Jesus breathed his last.(AD)
38 The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.(AE) 39 And when the centurion,(AF) who stood there in front of Jesus, saw how he died,[c] he said, “Surely this man was the Son of God!”(AG)
40 Some women were watching from a distance.(AH) Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joseph,[d] and Salome.(AI) 41 In Galilee these women had followed him and cared for his needs. Many other women who had come up with him to Jerusalem were also there.(AJ)
The Burial of Jesus(AK)
42 It was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath).(AL) So as evening approached, 43 Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent member of the Council,(AM) who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God,(AN) went boldly to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body. 44 Pilate was surprised to hear that he was already dead. Summoning the centurion, he asked him if Jesus had already died. 45 When he learned from the centurion(AO) that it was so, he gave the body to Joseph. 46 So Joseph bought some linen cloth, took down the body, wrapped it in the linen, and placed it in a tomb cut out of rock. Then he rolled a stone against the entrance of the tomb.(AP) 47 Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joseph(AQ) saw where he was laid.
