3 耶穌在伯大尼,在痲瘋病人西門家裡坐席的時候,有一個女人拿著一個玉瓶進來。瓶裡盛著[a]極其貴重的純哪噠香液。她打破玉瓶,把香液澆在耶穌的頭上。 4 有些人心裡很不滿,說:「為什麼要這樣浪費香液呢? 5 這香液本來可以賣三百多個銀幣[b],分給窮人。」他們就責備那女人。

New International Version
3 While he was in Bethany,(A) reclining at the table in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head.(B)
4 Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, “Why this waste of perfume? 5 It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages[a] and the money given to the poor.” And they rebuked her harshly.

4 And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made?
5 For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.

3 Toen Hij in Betanië bij Simon aan tafel zat (Simon was door Jezus genezen van een besmettelijke huidziekte), kwam er een vrouw naar Hem toe. Ze had een kostbaar kruikje bij zich met dure parfum: echte mirre.[a] Ze brak het kruikje open en goot de mirre over zijn hoofd uit. 4 Sommige mensen werden er boos over dat ze dat deed. Ze zeiden tegen elkaar: "Wat een verspilling! 5 Die mirre had voor meer dan 300 zilverstukken verkocht kunnen worden. Dan hadden ze het geld aan de arme mensen kunnen geven!" En ze deden boos tegen haar.
