¹⁸While they were reclining at the table eating, he said, “Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me—one who is eating with me.”

¹⁹They were saddened, and one by one they said to him, “Surely you don’t mean me?”

²⁰“It is one of the Twelve,” he replied, “one who dips bread into the bowl with me.^(A)

¹⁸And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.

¹⁹And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, Is it I? and another said, Is it I?

²⁰And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

¹⁸Now as they sat and ate, Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, ^(A)one of you who eats with Me will betray Me.”

¹⁹And they began to be sorrowful, and to say to Him one by one, “Is it I?” ^[a]And another said, “Is it I?”
