11 當耶穌和門徒們臨近耶路撒冷，到橄欖山附近的伯法其和伯大尼的時候，耶穌派了他的兩個門徒， 2 對他們說：「你們到對面的村子裡去。你們一進村，就會發現一頭驢駒拴在那裡，是從來沒有人騎過的。你們把牠解開牽過來。 3 如果有人問你們為什麼這麼做，你們就說『主需要牠[a]，會很快把牠送回這裡來的。』」
4 兩個門徒去了，果然發現一頭驢駒拴在岔路口一個門外，他們就解開驢駒。 5 站在那裡的一些人問：「你們解開驢駒做什麼呢？」 6 他們就照著耶穌所吩咐的回答，那些人就讓他們牽走[b]了。 7 他們牽著驢駒到耶穌那裡，把自己的外衣墊在驢駒上，耶穌就騎了上去。
8 許多人把自己的外衣鋪在路上，也有人從田野裡[c]砍來樹枝鋪在路上[d]。 9 前行後隨的人都呼喊：
11 耶穌進了耶路撒冷，來到聖殿，環視周圍的一切。天已經晚了，他就與十二使徒[g]一同離開，往伯大尼去了。
不結果子的無花果樹
12 第二天，當他們離開伯大尼的時候，耶穌餓了。 13 他遠遠地看見一棵長滿葉子的無花果樹，就上前去，要看看樹上是否有什麼。他來到樹下，除了葉子什麼也找不到，因為不是結無花果的季節。 14 於是他對那棵樹說：「永遠不再有任何人吃到你的果子了！」他的門徒都聽見了。
潔淨聖殿
15 他們來到耶路撒冷。耶穌進了聖殿，開始把那些在聖殿裡做買賣的人趕出去。他推翻了兌換銀幣之人的桌子和賣鴿子之人的凳子， 16 也不准任何人搬運東西穿過聖殿。
17 耶穌教導他們說：「經上不是記著『我的殿將被稱為萬國禱告的殿』[h]嗎？而你們卻使它成為賊窩了！[i]」 18 祭司長們和經文士們聽了，就圖謀怎樣來除滅耶穌。原來他們怕耶穌，因為眾人都對他的教導驚嘆不已。
19 到了傍晚的時候，耶穌和門徒們就到城外去。
無花果樹枯萎
20 清晨，他們路過那棵無花果樹的時候，看見它連根都枯萎了。 21 彼得想起來就對耶穌說：「拉比，你看！你所詛咒的無花果樹枯萎了！」
22 耶穌對他們說：「你們當對神有信心。 23 我確實地告訴你們：無論誰對這座山說『願你被挪開，被丟進海裡去！』只要他心裡不疑惑，相信自己所說的會成就，事情[j]就將為他成就。 24 所以，我告訴你們：凡是你們所禱告和祈求的，當相信已經得著了[k]。這樣，事情就將為你們成就。 25 當你們站著禱告的時候，如果向什麼人懷怨，就要饒恕他。這樣，你們在天上的父也會饒恕你們的過犯。 26 你們如果不饒恕別人，你們在天上的父也不會饒恕你們的過犯。[l]」
質疑耶穌的權柄
27 他們又來到耶路撒冷。當耶穌在聖殿裡行走的時候，祭司長們、經文士們和長老們來到他那裡。 28 他們問：「你憑什麼權柄做這些事？誰給你這權柄，讓你做這些事？」
29 耶穌對他們說：「我要問你們一個問題，你們回答我，我就告訴你們我憑什麼權柄做這些事。 30 約翰的洗禮是來自天上，還是來自人間呢？你們回答我！」
31 他們就彼此討論，說：「如果我們說『是來自天上』，他就會問『那麼你們為什麼不相信他呢？』 32 可是我們能說『是來自人間』嗎？」原來他們怕民眾，因為大家都認為約翰的確是先知。 33 於是他們回答耶穌，說：「我們不知道。」
耶穌就對他們說：「我也不告訴你們我憑什麼權柄做這些事。」

Good News Translation
The Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem(A)
11 As they approached Jerusalem, near the towns of Bethphage and Bethany, they came to the Mount of Olives. Jesus sent two of his disciples on ahead 2 with these instructions: “Go to the village there ahead of you. As soon as you get there, you will find a colt tied up that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 3 And if someone asks you why you are doing that, say that the Master[a] needs it and will send it back at once.”
4 So they went and found a colt out in the street, tied to the door of a house. As they were untying it, 5 some of the bystanders asked them, “What are you doing, untying that colt?”
6 They answered just as Jesus had told them, and the crowd let them go. 7 They brought the colt to Jesus, threw their cloaks over the animal, and Jesus got on. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches in the field and spread them on the road. 9 (B)The people who were in front and those who followed behind began to shout, “Praise God! God bless him who comes in the name of the Lord! 10 God bless the coming kingdom of King David, our father! Praise be to God!”
11 Jesus entered Jerusalem, went into the Temple, and looked around at everything. But since it was already late in the day, he went out to Bethany with the twelve disciples.
Jesus Curses the Fig Tree(C)
12 The next day, as they were coming back from Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13 He saw in the distance a fig tree covered with leaves, so he went to see if he could find any figs on it. But when he came to it, he found only leaves, because it was not the right time for figs. 14 Jesus said to the fig tree, “No one shall ever eat figs from you again!”
And his disciples heard him.
Jesus Goes to the Temple(D)
15 When they arrived in Jerusalem, Jesus went to the Temple and began to drive out all those who were buying and selling. He overturned the tables of the moneychangers and the stools of those who sold pigeons, 16 and he would not let anyone carry anything through the Temple courtyards. 17 (E)He then taught the people: “It is written in the Scriptures that God said, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer for the people of all nations.’ But you have turned it into a hideout for thieves!”
18 The chief priests and the teachers of the Law heard of this, so they began looking for some way to kill Jesus. They were afraid of him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching.
19 When evening came, Jesus and his disciples left the city.
The Lesson from the Fig Tree(F)
20 Early next morning, as they walked along the road, they saw the fig tree. It was dead all the way down to its roots. 21 Peter remembered what had happened and said to Jesus, “Look, Teacher, the fig tree you cursed has died!”
22 Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23 (G)I assure you that whoever tells this hill to get up and throw itself in the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24 For this reason I tell you: When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for. 25 (H)And when you stand and pray, forgive anything you may have against anyone, so that your Father in heaven will forgive the wrongs you have done.” 26 [b]
The Question about Jesus' Authority(I)
27 They arrived once again in Jerusalem. As Jesus was walking in the Temple, the chief priests, the teachers of the Law, and the elders came to him 28 and asked him, “What right do you have to do these things? Who gave you such right?”
29 Jesus answered them, “I will ask you just one question, and if you give me an answer, I will tell you what right I have to do these things. 30 Tell me, where did John's right to baptize come from: was it from God or from human beings?”
31 They started to argue among themselves: “What shall we say? If we answer, ‘From God,’ he will say, ‘Why, then, did you not believe John?’ 32 But if we say, ‘From human beings …’” (They were afraid of the people, because everyone was convinced that John had been a prophet.) 33 So their answer to Jesus was, “We don't know.”
Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you, then, by what right I do these things.”

无花果树被咒诅
12 第二天，他们从伯大尼出来，耶稣饿了。远远地看见一棵无花果树，树上有叶子，就往那里去，或者在树上可以找着什么。 13 到了树下，竟找不着什么，不过有叶子，因为不是收无花果的时候。 14 耶稣就对树说：“从今以后，永没有人吃你的果子！”他的门徒也听见了。
洁净圣殿
15 他们来到耶路撒冷。耶稣进入圣殿，赶出殿里做买卖的人，推倒兑换银钱之人的桌子和卖鸽子之人的凳子， 16 也不许人拿着器具从殿里经过。 17 便教训他们，说：“经上不是记着说‘我的殿必称为万国祷告的殿’吗？你们倒使它成为贼窝了！” 18 祭司长和文士听见这话，就想法子要除灭耶稣，却又怕他，因为众人都稀奇他的教训。
19 每天晚上，耶稣出城去。
信心的能力
20 早晨，他们从那里经过，看见无花果树连根都枯干了。 21 彼得想起耶稣的话来，就对他说：“拉比，请看，你所咒诅的无花果树已经枯干了！” 22 耶稣回答说：“你们当信服神。 23 我实在告诉你们：无论何人对这座山说：‘你挪开此地，投在海里！’，他若心里不疑惑，只信他所说的必成，就必给他成了。 24 所以我告诉你们，凡你们祷告祈求的，无论是什么，只要信是得着的，就必得着。 25 你们站着祷告的时候，若想起有人得罪你们，就当饶恕他，好叫你们在天上的父也饶恕你们的过犯。 26 你们若不饶恕人，你们在天上的父也不饶恕你们的过犯。[b]”
辩驳耶稣的权柄
27 他们又来到耶路撒冷。耶稣在殿里行走的时候，祭司长和文士并长老进前来， 28 问他说：“你仗着什么权柄做这些事？给你这权柄的是谁呢？” 29 耶稣对他们说：“我要问你们一句话，你们回答我，我就告诉你们我仗着什么权柄做这些事。 30 约翰的洗礼是从天上来的，是从人间来的呢？你们可以回答我。” 31 他们彼此商议说：“我们若说从天上来，他必说：‘这样，你们为什么不信他呢？’ 32 若说从人间来，却又怕百姓，因为众人真以约翰为先知。” 33 于是回答耶稣说：“我们不知道。”耶稣说：“我也不告诉你们我仗着什么权柄做这些事。”
