騎驢進耶路撒冷
11 耶穌和門徒將近耶路撒冷，快到橄欖山附近的伯法其和伯大尼兩個村莊時，祂派了兩個門徒， 2 對他們說：「你們去前面的村莊，一進村就會看見一頭從來沒有人騎過的驢駒拴在那裡，你們把牠解開牽來。 3 若有人問你們為什麼這樣做，就說，『主要用牠，很快會把牠送回來。』」 4 他們進了村子，果然看見有一頭驢駒拴在街道旁一戶人家的門外，就上前解開牠。 5 旁邊站著的幾個人就問他們：「你們為什麼要解開這頭驢駒？」
6 門徒依照耶穌的吩咐回答，那些人就讓他們牽走了。 7 他們把驢駒牽到耶穌面前，將自己的外衣搭在驢背上，耶穌就騎了上去。 8 很多人把衣服鋪在路上，有人將田間的樹枝砍下來鋪在路上。 9 大家前呼後擁，高聲歡呼：
「和散那[a]！
奉主名來的當受稱頌！
10 那將要來臨的我祖大衛的國度當受稱頌！
和散那歸於至高之處的上帝！」
11 耶穌進了耶路撒冷，來到聖殿，巡視各處。那時天色已晚，耶穌便和十二門徒出城前往伯大尼。
咒詛無花果樹
12 第二天，他們離開伯大尼後，耶穌餓了。 13 祂遠遠看見有一棵枝葉茂盛的無花果樹，就走過去找果子吃。到了樹下，卻什麼也找不到，只有滿樹的葉子，因為當時不是收無花果的季節。 14 祂對那棵樹說：「願無人再吃你的果子！」祂的門徒都聽見了這句話。
潔淨聖殿
15 他們來到耶路撒冷後，耶穌進入聖殿，趕走了裡面做買賣的人，推翻了兌換錢幣之人的桌子和賣鴿子之人的凳子， 16 不准人抬著貨物穿過聖殿。 17 祂教導他們說：「聖經上不是記載『我的殿必稱為萬民禱告的殿』嗎？你們竟把它變成了賊窩。」
18 祭司長和律法教師聽到這番話後，就策劃如何殺害耶穌，只是有些怕祂，因為百姓都對祂的教導感到驚奇。 19 到了傍晚，耶穌和門徒去了城外。
無花果樹的教訓
20 早上，他們又經過那棵無花果樹，看見它連根都枯了。 21 彼得想起昨天發生的事，就對耶穌說：「老師，你看！昨天你咒詛的無花果樹已經枯了。」
22 耶穌說：「要對上帝有信心。 23 我實在告訴你們，不論何人，只要有信心，毫不疑惑，就是對這座山說，『從這裡挪開，投進大海裡！』也必定為他成就。 24 所以我告訴你們，你們禱告時無論求什麼，只要相信已經得到了，就必得到。 25 你們站著禱告的時候，若想起有人得罪了你們，就要饒恕他。這樣，你們天上的父也會饒恕你們的過犯。 26 你們如果不饒恕別人，你們天上的父也不會饒恕你們的過犯。[b]」
質問耶穌的權柄
27 他們再次回到耶路撒冷。耶穌在聖殿裡行走的時候，祭司長、律法教師和長老上前質問祂： 28 「你憑什麼權柄做這些事？誰授權給你了？」
29 耶穌說：「我也要問你們一個問題，你們回答了，我就告訴你們我憑什麼權柄做這些事。 30 約翰的洗禮是從天上來的還是從人來的？請回答我！」
31 他們彼此議論說：「如果我們說『是從天上來的』，祂一定會問，『那你們為什麼不信他？』 32 如果我們說『是從人來的』，又怕觸怒百姓，因為他們都相信約翰真的是先知。」 33 於是，他們回答說：「我們不知道。」耶穌說：「我也不告訴你們我憑什麼權柄做這些事。」

Chapter 11
The Entry into Jerusalem.[a] 1 When they drew near to Jerusalem,(A) to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples 2 and said to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately on entering it, you will find a colt tethered on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here. 3 If anyone should say to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ reply, ‘The Master has need of it and will send it back here at once.’” 4 So they went off and found a colt tethered at a gate outside on the street, and they untied it. 5 Some of the bystanders said to them, “What are you doing, untying the colt?” 6 They answered them just as Jesus had told them to, and they permitted them to do it. 7 So they brought the colt to Jesus and put their cloaks over it. And he sat on it. 8 Many people spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields. 9 Those preceding him as well as those following kept crying out:(B)
“Hosanna!
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
10 Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is to come!
Hosanna in the highest!”
11 He entered Jerusalem and went into the temple area. He looked around at everything and, since it was already late, went out to Bethany with the Twelve.(C)
Jesus Curses a Fig Tree.[b] 12 The next day as they were leaving Bethany he was hungry.(D) 13 Seeing from a distance a fig tree in leaf, he went over to see if he could find anything on it. When he reached it he found nothing but leaves; it was not the time for figs. 14 And he said to it in reply, “May no one ever eat of your fruit again!” And his disciples heard it.
Cleansing of the Temple.[c] 15 They came to Jerusalem,(E) and on entering the temple area he began to drive out those selling and buying there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves. 16 He did not permit anyone to carry anything through the temple area. 17 Then he taught them saying, “Is it not written:
‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples’?
But you have made it a den of thieves.”(F)
18 The chief priests and the scribes came to hear of it and were seeking a way to put him to death, yet they feared him because the whole crowd was astonished at his teaching. 19 When evening came, they went out of the city.(G)
The Withered Fig Tree. 20 (H)Early in the morning, as they were walking along, they saw the fig tree withered to its roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.” 22 Jesus said to them in reply, “Have faith in God. 23 Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him.(I) 24 Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours.(J) 25 When you stand to pray, forgive anyone against whom you have a grievance, so that your heavenly Father may in turn forgive you your transgressions.”(K) [26 ][d]
The Authority of Jesus Questioned.[e] 27 They returned once more to Jerusalem.(L) As he was walking in the temple area, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders approached him 28 and said to him, “By what authority are you doing these things? Or who gave you this authority to do them?” 29 Jesus said to them, “I shall ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. 30 Was John’s baptism of heavenly or of human origin? Answer me.” 31 They discussed this among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘Of heavenly origin,’ he will say, ‘[Then] why did you not believe him?’ 32 But shall we say, ‘Of human origin’?”—they feared the crowd, for they all thought John really was a prophet. 33 So they said to Jesus in reply, “We do not know.” Then Jesus said to them, “Neither shall I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

- 11:1–11 In Mark’s account Jesus takes the initiative in ordering the preparation for his entry into Jerusalem (Mk 11:1–6) even as he later orders the preparation of his last Passover supper (Mk 14:12–16). In Mk 10:9–10 the greeting Jesus receives stops short of proclaiming him Messiah. He is greeted rather as the prophet of the coming messianic kingdom. Contrast Mt 21:9.
- 11:12–14 Jesus’ search for fruit on the fig tree recalls the prophets’ earlier use of this image to designate Israel; cf. Jer 8:13; 29:17; Jl 1:7; Hos 9:10, 16. Cursing the fig tree is a parable in action representing Jesus’ judgment (Mk 11:20) on barren Israel and the fate of Jerusalem for failing to receive his teaching; cf. Is 34:4; Hos 2:14; Lk 13:6–9.
- 11:15–19 See note on Mt 21:12–17.
- 11:26 This verse, which reads, “But if you do not forgive, neither will your heavenly Father forgive your transgressions,” is omitted in the best manuscripts. It was probably added by copyists under the influence of Mt 6:15.
- 11:27–33 The mounting hostility toward Jesus came from the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders (Mk 11:27); the Herodians and the Pharisees (Mk 12:13); and the Sadducees (Mk 12:18). By their rejection of God’s messengers, John the Baptist and Jesus, they incurred the divine judgment implied in Mk 11:27–33 and confirmed in the parable of the vineyard tenants (Mk 12:1–12).

11 Nang malapit na sina Jesus sa Jerusalem, tumigil sila sa Bundok ng mga Olibo malapit sa mga nayon ng Betfage at Betania.[a] Pinauna ni Jesus ang dalawa niyang tagasunod. 2 Sinabi niya sa kanila, “Pumunta kayo sa susunod na nayon. Pagpasok nʼyo roon, makikita ninyo ang isang batang asno na nakatali, na hindi pa nasasakyan ng kahit sino. Kalagan ninyo at dalhin dito. 3 Kapag may nagtanong kung bakit ninyo kinakalagan ang asno, sabihin ninyong kailangan ng Panginoon at ibabalik din agad.” 4 Kaya lumakad ang dalawa, at nakita nga nila ang asno sa tabi ng daan, na nakatali sa pintuan ng isang bahay. Nang kinakalagan na nila ang asno, 5 tinanong sila ng mga taong nakatayo roon, “Hoy! Ano ang ginagawa ninyo riyan? Bakit ninyo kinakalagan ang asno?” 6 Sinabi nila ang ipinapasabi ni Jesus, kaya pinabayaan na sila ng mga tao. 7 Dinala nila ang asno kay Jesus. 11 Pagdating ni Jesus sa Jerusalem, pumunta siya sa templo. Pinagmasdan niyang mabuti ang lahat ng bagay doon. At dahil sa gumagabi na, pumunta siya sa Betania kasama ang kanyang 12 apostol.
Isinumpa ni Jesus ang Puno ng Igos(B)
12 Kinabukasan, nang umalis sila sa Betania pabalik sa Jerusalem, nagutom si Jesus. 13 May nakita siyang isang madahong puno ng igos. Kaya nilapitan niya ito at tiningnan kung may bunga. Pero wala siyang nakita kundi mga dahon, dahil hindi pa panahon ng mga igos noon. 14 Sinabi ni Jesus sa puno, “Mula ngayon, wala nang makakakain ng bunga mo.” Narinig iyon ng mga tagasunod niya.

15 Pagdating nila sa Jerusalem, pumasok si Jesus sa templo at itinaboy niya ang mga nagtitinda at namimili roon. Itinaob niya ang mga mesa ng mga nagpapalit ng pera at ang mga upuan ng mga nagtitinda ng mga kalapating inihahandog sa templo. 16 Pinagbawalan niya ang mga taong may paninda na dumaan sa templo. 17 Pagkatapos, pinangaralan niya ang mga tao roon. Sinabi niya, “Hindi baʼt sinasabi ng Dios sa Kasulatan, ‘Ang aking bahay ay magiging bahay-panalanginan ng lahat ng bansa’?[c] Ngunit ginawa ninyong pugad ng mga tulisan.”[d]
18 Nabalitaan ng mga namamahalang pari at ng mga tagapagturo ng Kautusan ang ginawa ni Jesus. Kaya humanap sila ng paraan upang mapatay siya. Pero natatakot sila sa kanya dahil hangang-hanga ang mga tao sa kanyang mga turo.
19 Kinagabihan, umalis si Jesus sa Jerusalem kasama ang mga tagasunod niya.

27 Pagdating nila sa Jerusalem, bumalik si Jesus sa templo. At habang naglalakad siya roon, lumapit sa kanya ang mga namamahalang pari, mga tagapagturo ng Kautusan, at mga pinuno ng mga Judio. 28 Tinanong nila si Jesus, “Ano ang awtoridad mo na gumawa ng mga bagay na ito?[e] Sino ang nagbigay sa iyo ng awtoridad na iyan?” 29 Sinagot sila ni Jesus, “Tatanungin ko rin kayo. At kapag sinagot ninyo, sasabihin ko kung ano ang awtoridad ko na gumawa ng mga bagay na ito. 30 Kanino galing ang awtoridad ni Juan para magbautismo, sa Dios[f] o sa tao? Sagutin ninyo ako!” 31 Nag-usap-usap sila, “Kung sasabihin nating mula sa Dios, sasabihin niya, ‘Bakit hindi kayo naniwala kay Juan?’ 32 Pero kung sasabihin nating mula sa tao, magagalit sa atin ang mga tao.” (Takot sila sa mga tao dahil naniniwala ang mga tao na si Juan ay propeta ng Dios.) 33 Kaya sumagot sila, “Hindi namin alam.” Sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila, “Kung ganoon, hindi ko rin sasabihin sa inyo kung saan nagmula ang awtoridad ko na gumawa ng mga bagay na ito.”
