⁵耶稣对他们说∶“因为你们这些人不接受上帝的教导，所以摩西才为你们写下这条诫命。

³耶稣回答：“摩西吩咐你们的是甚么呢？” ⁴他们说：“摩西准许‘人写了休书就可以休妻’。” ⁵耶稣说：“因为你们的心硬，摩西才写这条例给你们。

³“What did Moses command you?” he replied.

⁴They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of divorce and send her away.”^(A)

⁵“It was because your hearts were hard^(B) that Moses wrote you this law,” Jesus replied.
