⁹Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.

¹⁰Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

¹¹Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.

⁹Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters,^(A) or you will be judged. The Judge^(B) is standing at the door!^(C)

¹⁰Brothers and sisters, as an example of patience in the face of suffering, take the prophets^(D) who spoke in the name of the Lord. ¹¹As you know, we count as blessed^(E) those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance^(F) and have seen what the Lord finally brought about.^(G) The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.^(H)
