耶和华的审判
9 我看见主站在祭坛旁，祂说：
“要击打柱顶，使殿的根基震动；
要打碎柱顶，使殿宇坍塌压死众人。
侥幸生还的，我要用刀剑杀掉，
没有一个能逃脱，没有一个能幸免。
2 即使他们挖洞钻进阴间，
我也要把他们揪出来；
即使他们爬上高天，
我也要把他们拉下来；
3 即使他们藏在迦密山的峰顶，
我也要去搜寻，捉住他们；
即使他们潜到海底，
我也要派海蛇去吞咬他们；
4 即使他们被敌人掳去，
我也要命刀剑追杀他们。
我要定睛在他们身上，
不是要赐福而是要降祸。”
5 主——万军之耶和华触摸大地，
大地就消融，地上的人都要哀号；
大地如埃及的尼罗河涨起退落。
6 那位在天上建造楼阁，
在大地之上立定穹苍，
召来海水浇在大地上的——
祂的名字是耶和华。
7 耶和华说：
“以色列人啊，
在我眼中，你们不是和古实人一样吗？
我不是领你们出埃及，
也领非利士人出迦斐托[a]，
领亚兰人出吉珥吗？
8 主耶和华的眼目察看这罪恶的国家，
我要从地上除灭它，
但不会完全毁灭雅各家。
这是耶和华说的。
9 “因为我要下令在列国中筛以色列家，
就像人筛谷物，一粒石子也不会落在地上。
10 在我的子民中，
所有夸口说‘灾祸不会追上我们，也不会迎面而来’的罪人，
都要死在刀下。
以色列的复兴
11 “到那日，
我要重建已倾覆的大卫王朝，
修补它城墙的缺口。
我要从废墟中重建它，
恢复它往日的荣耀。
12 这样，以色列人必拥有以东所剩的和所有属于我名下的国家。
这是要成就这事的耶和华说的。”
13 耶和华说：
“时候将到，
五谷还未收完又该耕种了，
葡萄还未踩完又该栽种了。
甜酒从群山上滴下，在丘岭间流淌。
14 我要使我被掳的以色列子民返回故乡，
他们要重建废城并住在城中，
栽种葡萄园，喝园中酿出的美酒，
整理园圃，吃园中出产的佳果。
15 我要将以色列人栽种在他们自己的土地上，
永不再从我赐给他们的土地上拔除他们。”

God’s Judgment Unavoidable
9 I saw the Lord standing beside the (A)altar, and He said,
“Strike the pillar capitals so that the (B)thresholds will shake,
And (C)break them on the heads of them all!
Then I will (D)put to death the rest of them with the sword;
They will (E)not have a fugitive who will flee,
Nor a survivor who will escape.
2 Though they dig into (F)Sheol,
From there My hand will take them;
And though they (G)ascend to heaven,
From there I will bring them down.
3 And though they hide on the summit of Carmel,
I will (H)track them down and take them from there;
And though they (I)hide themselves from My sight on the bottom of the sea,
I will command the (J)serpent from there, and it will bite them.
4 And though they go into (K)captivity before their enemies,
From there I will command the sword and it will kill them,
And I will (L)set My eyes against them for harm and not for good.”
5 The Lord [a]God of armies,
The One who (M)touches the land so that it quakes,
And (N)all those who live in it mourn,
And all of it rises up like the Nile
And subsides like the Nile of Egypt;
6 The One who builds His (O)upper chambers in the heavens
And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth,
He who (P)calls for the waters of the sea
And (Q)pours them out on the face of the earth,
(R)The Lord is His name.
7 “Are you not as the sons of (S)Ethiopia to Me,
You sons of Israel?” declares the Lord.
“Have I not brought up Israel from the land of Egypt,
And the (T)Philistines from Caphtor and the (U)Arameans from (V)Kir?
8 Behold, the (W)eyes of the Lord God are on the sinful kingdom,
And I will (X)eliminate it from the face of the earth;
Nevertheless, I will (Y)not totally eliminate the house of Jacob,”
Declares the Lord.
9 “For behold, I am commanding,
And I will (Z)shake the house of Israel among all nations
As grain is shaken in a sieve,
But not a pebble will fall to the ground.
10 All the (AA)sinners of My people will die by the sword,
Those who say, ‘(AB)The catastrophe will not overtake or confront us.’
The Restoration of Israel
11 “On that day I will (AC)raise up the fallen [b](AD)shelter of David,
And wall up its (AE)gaps;
I will also raise up its ruins
And rebuild it as in the (AF)days of old;
12 (AG)So that they may [c]possess the remnant of (AH)Edom
And all the [d]nations who are (AI)called by My name,”
Declares the Lord who does this.
13 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“When the (AJ)plowman will overtake the reaper,
And the one who treads grapes will overtake him who sows the seed;
When the (AK)mountains will drip grape juice,
And all the hills will come apart.
14 I will also (AL)restore the fortunes of My people Israel,
And they will (AM)rebuild the desolated cities and live in them;
They will also (AN)plant vineyards and drink their wine,
And make gardens and eat their fruit.
15 I will also plant them on their land,
And (AO)they will not be uprooted again from their land
Which I have given them,”
Says the Lord your God.

The Destruction of Israel
9 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and He said:
“Strike the [a]doorposts, that the thresholds may shake,
And (A)break them on the heads of them all.
I will slay the last of them with the sword.
(B)He who flees from them shall not get away,
And he who escapes from them shall not be delivered.
2 “Though(C) they dig into [b]hell,
From there My hand shall take them;
(D)Though they climb up to heaven,
From there I will bring them down;
3 And though they (E)hide themselves on top of Carmel,
From there I will search and take them;
Though they hide from My sight at the bottom of the sea,
From there I will command the serpent, and it shall bite them;
4 Though they go into captivity before their enemies,
From there (F)I will command the sword,
And it shall slay them.
(G)I will set My eyes on them for harm and not for good.”
5 The Lord God of hosts,
He who touches the earth and it (H)melts,
(I)And all who dwell there mourn;
All of it shall swell like [c]the River,
And subside like the River of Egypt.
6 He who builds His (J)layers[d] in the sky,
And has founded His strata in the earth;
Who (K)calls for the waters of the sea,
And pours them out on the face of the earth—
(L)The Lord is His name.
7 “Are you not like the [e]people of Ethiopia to Me,
O children of Israel?” says the Lord.
“Did I not bring up Israel from the land of Egypt,
The (M)Philistines from (N)Caphtor,[f]
And the Syrians from (O)Kir?
8 “Behold, (P)the eyes of the Lord God are on the sinful kingdom,
And I (Q)will destroy it from the face of the earth;
Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,”
Says the Lord.
9 “For surely I will command,
And will [g]sift the house of Israel among all nations,
As grain is sifted in a sieve;
(R)Yet not the smallest [h]grain shall fall to the ground.
10 All the sinners of My people shall die by the sword,
(S)Who say, ‘The calamity shall not overtake nor confront us.’
Israel Will Be Restored
11 “On(T) that day I will raise up
The [i]tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,
And [j]repair its damages;
I will raise up its ruins,
And rebuild it as in the days of old;
12 (U)That they may possess the remnant of (V)Edom,[k]
And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,”
Says the Lord who does this thing.
13 “Behold, (W)the days are coming,” says the Lord,
“When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,
And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;
(X)The mountains shall drip with sweet wine,
And all the hills shall flow with it.
14 (Y)I will bring back the captives of My people Israel;
(Z)They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;
They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;
They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.
15 I will plant them in their land,
(AA)And no longer shall they be pulled up
From the land I have given them,”
Says the Lord your God.

9 Jag såg Herren stå bredvid altaret, och han sa:
”Slå till pelarhuvudena

och allt rasar samman över dem som finns där.
Dem som blir kvar ska jag döda med svärd.
Ingen av dem ska kunna fly,
ingen komma undan.
2 Även om de så gräver sig ner ända till dödsriket
ska jag få tag i dem och dra upp dem.
Och om de stiger upp till himlen,
ska jag störta ner dem igen.
3 Om de gömmer sig på Karmels topp
ska jag söka upp dem och ta dem till fånga,
och om de gömmer sig för mig på havets botten
ska jag befalla sjöormen att bita dem.
4 Om de förs bort till fångenskap inför sina fiender
ska jag befalla svärdet att döda dem.
Jag ska låta mina ögon vaka över dem,
inte till deras lycka utan till olycka.”
5 När Herren, härskarornas Herre, rör vid jorden,
smälter den,
och alla som bor där sörjer.
Hela jorden reser sig som Nilen
och sänker sig igen, som Egyptens flod.
6 Han bygger sin loftgång[a] i himlen,
och sätter upp sitt valv på jorden.
Han kallar på havets vatten
och häller ut det på jordytan.
Herren är hans namn.
7 ”Är ni inte i mina ögon likvärdiga med nubierna, ni israeliter? säger Herren.
Förde jag inte ut Israel ur Egypten,
filistéerna från Kaftor[b]
och araméerna från Kir?
8 Herren, Herren har ögonen
på detta syndiga rike.
Jag ska utplåna det från jordens yta.
Men helt och hållet ska jag inte
utplåna Jakobs ätt, säger Herren.
9 Jag har befallt att Israels folk ska skakas
bland alla folk
som man skakar vete i ett såll,
utan att det minsta korn faller till marken.
10 Men alla syndare bland mitt folk ska dö för svärd,
dessa som säger:
’Det onda kommer inte att röra oss,
det drabbar inte oss.’
Israel ska byggas upp igen
11 Den dagen ska jag åter bygga upp
Davids fallna hydda,[c]
mura igen dess sprickor,
resa upp det som ligger i ruiner
och bygga upp den som i gångna tider,
12 så att de kan inta det som är kvar av Edom
och alla de folk över vilka mitt namn har utropats.[d]
Så säger Herren som gjorde allt detta.
13 Den tid kommer, säger Herren,
då plöjaren följer tätt efter den som skördar
och vintramparen efter den som sår,
då bergen dryper av druvsaft
och alla höjder flödar över.
14 Jag ska låta mitt folk Israel
återvända från exilen.
De ska bygga upp städerna som legat i ruiner
och bo i dem igen,
och de ska plantera vingårdar
och få dricka vin från dem,
anlägga trädgårdar
och njuta av deras frukt.
15 Jag ska plantera dem i deras eget land,
och de ska aldrig mer ryckas upp
ur det land som jag har gett dem,
säger Herren, din Gud.”
