9 我 看 見 主 站 在 祭 壇 旁 邊 ； 他 說 ： 你 要 擊 打 柱 頂 ， 使 門 檻 震 動 ， 打 碎 柱 頂 ， 落 在 眾 人 頭 上 ； 所 剩 下 的 人 ， 我 必 用 刀 殺 戮 ， 無 一 人 能 逃 避 ， 無 一 人 能 逃 脫 。
2 他 們 雖 然 挖 透 陰 間 ， 我 的 手 必 取 出 他 們 來 ； 雖 然 爬 上 天 去 ， 我 必 拿 下 他 們 來 ；
3 雖 然 藏 在 迦 密 山 頂 ， 我 必 搜 尋 ， 捉 出 他 們 來 ； 雖 然 從 我 眼 前 藏 在 海 底 ， 我 必 命 蛇 咬 他 們 ；
4 雖 被 仇 敵 擄 去 ， 我 必 命 刀 劍 殺 戮 他 們 ； 我 必 向 他 們 定 住 眼 目 ， 降 禍 不 降 福 。
5 主 ─ 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 摸 地 ， 地 就 消 化 ， 凡 住 在 地 上 的 都 必 悲 哀 。 地 必 全 然 像 尼 羅 河 漲 起 ， 如 同 埃 及 河 落 下 。
6 那 在 天 上 建 造 樓 閣 、 在 地 上 安 定 穹 蒼 、 命 海 水 澆 在 地 上 的 ─ 耶 和 華 是 他 的 名 。
7 耶 和 華 說 ： 以 色 列 人 哪 ， 我 豈 不 看 你 們 如 古 實 人 嗎 ？ 我 豈 不 是 領 以 色 列 人 出 埃 及 地 ， 領 非 利 士 人 出 迦 斐 託 ， 領 亞 蘭 人 出 吉 珥 嗎 ？
8 主 耶 和 華 的 眼 目 察 看 這 有 罪 的 國 ， 必 將 這 國 從 地 上 滅 絕 ， 卻 不 將 雅 各 家 滅 絕 淨 盡 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。
9 我 必 出 令 ， 將 以 色 列 家 分 散 在 列 國 中 ， 好 像 用 篩 子 篩 穀 ， 連 一 粒 也 不 落 在 地 上 。
10 我 民 中 的 一 切 罪 人 說 ： 災 禍 必 追 不 上 我 們 ， 也 迎 不 著 我 們 。 他 們 必 死 在 刀 下 。
11 到 那 日 ， 我 必 建 立 大 衛 倒 塌 的 帳 幕 ， 堵 住 其 中 的 破 口 ， 把 那 破 壞 的 建 立 起 來 ， 重 新 修 造 ， 像 古 時 一 樣 ，
12 使 以 色 列 人 得 以 東 所 餘 剩 的 和 所 有 稱 為 我 名 下 的 國 。 此 乃 行 這 事 的 耶 和 華 說 的 。
13 耶 和 華 說 ： 日 子 將 到 ， 耕 種 的 必 接 續 收 割 的 ； 踹 葡 萄 的 必 接 續 撒 種 的 ； 大 山 要 滴 下 甜 酒 ； 小 山 都 必 流 奶 （ 原 文 是 消 化 ， 見 約 珥 三 章 十 八 節 ） 。
14 我 必 使 我 民 以 色 列 被 擄 的 歸 回 ； 他 們 必 重 修 荒 廢 的 城 邑 居 住 ， 栽 種 葡 萄 園 ， 喝 其 中 所 出 的 酒 ， 修 造 果 木 園 ， 吃 其 中 的 果 子 。
15 我 要 將 他 們 栽 於 本 地 ， 他 們 不 再 從 我 所 賜 給 他 們 的 地 上 拔 出 來 。 這 是 耶 和 華 ─ 你 的 神 說 的 。

Israels förödelse
9 Jag såg Herren stå vid altaret, och han sade:
Slå till pelarhuvudena så att trösklarna bävar,
och låt spillrorna falla över huvudet på alla som står där.
Dem som är kvar skall jag döda med svärd.
Ingen av dem skall kunna fly undan,
ingen av dem skall kunna rädda sig.
2 Om de än bröt sig in i dödsriket,
skulle min hand hämta dem därifrån.
Om de än for upp till himlen,
skulle jag störta dem ner därifrån.
3 Om de än gömde sig på toppen av Karmel,
skulle jag där leta fram dem och hämta dem ner.
Om de än gömde sig utom synhåll för mig på havets botten,
skulle jag där befalla ormen att bita dem.
4 Om de än gick bort i fångenskap framför sina fiender,
skulle jag befalla svärdet att komma dit och dräpa dem.
Ja, jag skall låta mitt öga vila på dem
till deras olycka och inte till deras lycka.
5 Herren, Herren Sebaot är den som rör vid jorden,
och den smälter
och alla dess invånare sörjer.
Hela jorden höjer sig som Nilen
och sjunker åter som Egyptens flod.
6 Det är han som bygger sin sal i himlen
och har grundat sitt valv över jorden.
Han kallar på havets vatten
och sprider ut det över jordens yta -
Herren är hans namn.
7 Är ni inte i mina ögon som nubierna,
ni Israels barn? säger Herren.
Förde jag inte Israel upp ur Egyptens land,
filisteerna från Kaftor
och arameerna från Kir?
8 Se, Herrens, Herrens ögon
är emot detta syndiga rike,
och jag skall utplåna det från jordens yta.
Ändå vill jag inte alldeles utplåna Jakobs hus,
säger Herren.
9 Ty se, jag befaller
att Israels hus skall sållas bland alla hednafolken,
som om det siktades i ett såll.
Inte det minsta korn skall falla på jorden.
10 Alla syndare i mitt folk skall dö för svärd,
de som nu säger:
"Oss skall olyckan inte komma nära,
över oss skall den inte komma."
Löfte om upprättelse
11 På den dagen skall jag resa upp
Davids fallna hydda,
mura igen dess sprickor
och resa upp det som är nerrivet.
Jag skall bygga upp den som i forna dagar,
12 så att de kan ta i besittning
vad som är kvar av Edom
och av alla hednafolk
över vilka mitt namn har nämnts,
säger Herren, han som gör detta.
13 Se, dagar skall komma, säger Herren,
då plöjaren skall följa skördemannen i spåren
och druvtramparen såningsmannen,
då bergen skall drypa av druvsaft
och alla höjder flöda över.
14 Jag skall göra slut på mitt folk Israels fångenskap.
De skall bygga upp sina ödelagda städer
och få bo i dem.
De skall plantera vingårdar
och få dricka vinet från dem.
De skall anlägga trädgårdar
och få äta deras frukt.
15 Jag skall plantera dem i deras eget land.
De skall inte mer ryckas upp ur det land
som jag har givit dem,
säger Herren, din Gud.

9 I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.
2 Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down:
3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them:
4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.
5 And the Lord God of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
6 It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.
7 Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the Lord. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?
8 Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the Lord.
9 For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the Lord that doeth this.
13 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.
15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.
