审判之日将临
8 主耶和华让我看见了异象，我看到一篮夏天的果子。 2 耶和华问我：“阿摩司，你看见什么？”我说：“我看见一篮夏天的果子。”祂说：“我以色列子民的结局[a]到了，我不会再饶恕他们。 3 到那日，殿里的歌声要变成哀号；尸横遍地，一片死寂。这是主耶和华说的。”
4 践踏贫民、灭绝穷人的人啊，
你们要听！
5 你们盼望朔日[b]和安息日快点过去，
你们好售卖谷物。
你们用小升斗卖粮，
用加重的砝码收银子，
用假秤骗人。
6 你们用银子买贫民，
以一双鞋买穷人为奴，
售卖掺了糠秕的麦子。
7 耶和华凭以色列的荣耀起誓：
“我决不会忘记你们的所作所为。
8 这片土地要因此而震动，
那里的人都要悲哀。
大地要像尼罗河一样涨起，如埃及的河流翻腾退落。”
9 主耶和华说：
“到那日，我要使太阳中午落下，
使白昼变为黑暗。
10 我要使你们的节期变为丧礼，
叫你们的欢歌变为哀歌。
我要使你们都腰束麻布，剃光头发；
我要使你们伤心欲绝，如丧独生子；
我要使那日成为痛苦的日子。”
11 主耶和华说：
“日子将到，我要使饥荒降在地上。
人饥饿非因无饼，干渴非因无水，
而是因为听不到耶和华的话。
12 人们从南到北，从东到西[c]，
在境内四处流荡，
要寻找耶和华的话却找不到。
13 “到那日，
“美丽少女和青春少男都要因干渴而昏倒；
14 那些凭撒玛利亚、但和别示巴的神明起誓的，
都要跌倒，永不再起来。”

8 주 여호와께서 또 나에게 [a]익은 과일 한 광주리를 보이시며
2 “아모스야, 네가 무엇을 보느냐?” 하고 물으셨다. 그래서 내가 “익은 과일 한 광주리입니다” 하고 대답하자 여호와께서 나에게 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “내 백성 이스라엘이 망할 때가 무르익었으니 내가 그들을 살려 두지 않을 것이다.
3 그 날에 궁전의 노래가 슬픈 통곡으로 변할 것이며 시체가 너무 많아 사람들이 말없이 시체를 아무 곳이나 마구 내어버릴 것이다. 이것은 나 주 여호와의 말이다.”
4 가난한 자를 짓밟고 이 땅의 힘없는 자들을 못 살게 구는 자들아, 이 말을 들어라.
5 너희는 이렇게 말하고 있다. “언제나 초하루가 지나가고 우리가 곡식을 팔며 언제나 안식일이 지나가고 우리가 장사를 할 수 있을까? [b]물건은 적게 주면서 값은 올려 받고 저울눈을 속여 팔며
6 은으로 가난한 자를 사고 신 한 켤레로 빈곤한 자를 사며 찌꺼기 밀을 팔자.”
7 이스라엘의 자랑이신 여호와께서 맹세하며 이렇게 말씀하셨다. “그들이 행한 일을 내가 절대로 잊지 않을 것이다.
8 그러므로 땅이 떨 것이며 그 가운데 사는 모든 사람이 슬퍼할 것이다. 나일강이 범람할 때처럼 온 땅이 솟아올라 진동하다가 다시 낮아질 것이다.”
9 주 여호와께서 말씀하신다. “그 날에 내가 해를 정오에 지게 하여 대낮에 땅을 캄캄하게 하며
10 너희 명절을 슬픔으로, 너희 모든 노래를 울음으로 바꾸고 너희 모든 사람에게 굵은 삼베 옷을 입게 하고 머리를 밀게 하여 외아들이 죽어서 통곡할 때처럼 하겠다. 그 날이 쓰라린 고난의 날이 될 것이다.”
11 주 여호와께서 말씀하신다. “내가 기근을 땅에 보낼 날이 올 것이다. 양식이 없어 굶주리거나 물이 없어 갈증을 느끼는 기근이 아니라 여호와의 말씀을 듣지 못해 굶주리고 목말라하는 기근이다.
12 사람들이 이 바다에서 저 바다로, 북에서 동으로 사방 비틀거리며 여호와의 말씀을 찾아다녀도 얻지 못할 것이다.
13 그 날에는 아름다운 처녀와 건장한 청년이 다 목말라 기절할 것이며
14 사마리아의 우상으로 맹세하거나 단의 신이나 브엘세바의 신으로 맹세하는 자들은 쓰러져서 다시 일어나지 못할 것이다.”
Amos 8
King James Version
8 Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit.
2 And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the Lord unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.
3 And the songs of the temple shall be howlings in that day, saith the Lord God: there shall be many dead bodies in every place; they shall cast them forth with silence.
4 Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail,
5 Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?
6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat?
7 The Lord hath sworn by the excellency of Jacob, Surely I will never forget any of their works.
8 Shall not the land tremble for this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly as a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, as by the flood of Egypt.
9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day.
11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:
12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it.
13 In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst.
14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beersheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.
