以其得胜之军倾覆尼尼微
2 尼尼微啊，那打碎邦国的上来攻击你，你要看守保障，谨防道路，使腰强壮，大大勉力。 2 耶和华复兴雅各的荣华，好像以色列的荣华一样，因为使地空虚的已经使雅各和以色列空虚，将他们的葡萄枝毁坏了。 3 他勇士的盾牌是红的，精兵都穿朱红衣服。在他预备争战的日子，战车上的钢铁闪烁如火，柏木把的枪也抡起来了。 4 车辆在街上[a]急行，在宽阔处奔来奔去，形状如火把，飞跑如闪电。 5 尼尼微王招聚他的贵胄，他们步行绊跌，速上城墙，预备挡牌。 6 河闸开放，宫殿冲没。 7 王后蒙羞，被人掳去，宫女捶胸，哀鸣如鸽。此乃命定之事。
8 尼尼微自古以来充满人民，如同聚水的池子，现在居民却都逃跑。虽有人呼喊说“站住！站住！”，却无人回顾。 9 你们抢掠金银吧！因为所积蓄的无穷，华美的宝器无数。 10 尼尼微现在空虚荒凉，人心消化，双膝相碰，腰都疼痛，脸都变色。 11 狮子的洞和少壮狮子喂养之处在哪里呢？公狮、母狮、小狮游行，无人惊吓之地在哪里呢？ 12 公狮为小狮撕碎许多食物，为母狮掐死活物，把撕碎的、掐死的充满它的洞穴。 13 万军之耶和华说：“我与你为敌，必将你的车辆焚烧成烟，刀剑也必吞灭你的少壮狮子。我必从地上除灭你所撕碎的，你使者的声音必不再听见。”

2 尼尼微啊！
那分散邦國的必上來攻擊你，
你要固守堡壘，

2 然而，耶和華必恢復雅各的光榮，
好像以色列的光榮一樣；
因為劫掠的人曾把他們劫掠一空，
又把他們的葡萄枝子毀壞了。
圍攻尼尼微
3 他勇士的盾牌是紅的，
戰士的衣服是朱紅的。
在他預備出擊的時候，
戰車的鋼鐵閃爍如火，

11 獅子的洞穴在哪裡？

為母獅掐死活物；

2 He that dasheth in pieces is come up before thy face: keep the munition, watch the way, make thy loins strong, fortify thy power mightily.
2 For the Lord hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.
3 The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken.
4 The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.
5 He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defence shall be prepared.
6 The gates of the rivers shall be opened, and the palace shall be dissolved.
7 And Huzzab shall be led away captive, she shall be brought up, and her maids shall lead her as with the voice of doves, tabering upon their breasts.
8 But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.
9 Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.
10 She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.
11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them afraid?
12 The lion did tear in pieces enough for his whelps, and strangled for his lionesses, and filled his holes with prey, and his dens with ravin.
13 Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will burn her chariots in the smoke, and the sword shall devour thy young lions: and I will cut off thy prey from the earth, and the voice of thy messengers shall no more be heard.
