在安息日给人治病对吗？
14 在一个安息日里，耶稣来到法利赛人的一个首领家里去吃饭。在场的人们都密切地注视着他， 2 因为耶稣面前有一个患水肿病的人。 3 耶稣一见他就开口问律法师和法利赛人∶“在安息日是否允许为人治病呢？” 4 可是，没有人作声，于是，耶稣扶着那个病人并治愈了他，然后叫他离开了。 5 耶稣又对律法师和法利赛人说∶“如果你们中间，有人的儿子、或者是他家的一头牛，在安息日时掉进了井里，那么，难道你们不会把他（它）马上拽上来吗？” 6 这些人立刻被问得哑口无言了。
不要自命不凡
7 耶稣看到客人都为自己挑选贵宾席位，所以耶稣给他们讲了一个比喻，他说： 8 “有人请你们去赴婚筵时，不要坐在贵宾席上，因为主人可能已邀请了比你们更重要的客人。 9 如果真的是那样的话，邀请你的人就会走到你身边，对你说∶‘请把你的座位让给这个人。’那时，你只好羞愧地退到最后的座位上去。 10 但是你们受到邀请时，你们主动坐到了末座上，所以，当主人来对你说∶‘朋友，请上座。’那时，你就会在所有的来客面前有光彩。 11 因为自命不凡的人将受到贬低，而自甘谦卑的人则受到器重。”
你将得回报
12 然后，耶稣又对邀请他的那个人说∶“你招待午餐或晚餐时，不要邀请你的朋友、兄弟、亲戚或富有的邻居，因为，他们这些人将回请你，那样的话，你就得了回报。 13 但是，你摆宴席时，要邀请穷人、残疾人，瘸腿的和瞎眼的， 14 他们拿不出什么东西回报你，这样，你就有福了，因为你们将在虔诚的人复活的日子里得到报偿。”
邀请赴宴的故事
15 当时，与耶稣同桌吃饭的一个人听到了这些话就对耶稣说∶“能在上帝王国里享受筵席的人是多么有福啊！”
16 耶稣对他说∶“一个人准备了一顿丰盛的宴席，又邀请了很多客人。 17 到了该吃饭的时候，他派奴仆去对客人说∶‘请来吧，一切都准备好了！’ 18 可是，这些客人都开始找借口来推辞。第一个人说∶‘我刚买了一块地，我必须出去看看，请原谅。’ 19 另一个人说∶‘我买了五对牛，要去试试它们，请原谅。’ 20 还有一个说∶‘我刚刚结婚，所以我不能来。’ 21 于是，那个仆人回来，把一切都报告给了主人，主人听后，很生气，便对仆人说∶‘你到大街小巷里去，把那些穷人、残疾人，瞎眼的、瘸腿的，都请来！’ 22 后来，仆人又说∶‘主人，我照您的吩咐做了，可是还有些空座位，’ 23 然后主人对仆人说∶‘出去到路上，沿着栅栏，劝人进来，让我的房子都坐满了人。 24 我告诉你们：我原来请的那些人，没有一个能尝到我的筵席！’”
决定是否你们能跟随我
25 有很多人与耶稣同行着，他转过身对他们说∶ 26 “到我这里来的人，如果爱我不能胜过爱他的父母、妻子、儿女、兄弟、姐妹，甚至自己的生命，那么，他就不能做我的门徒； 27 不肯背着他的十字架跟随我的人也不能做我的门徒； 28 如果你们中有人想造一座塔，他会不会首先坐下来，仔细计算费用，看看他是否有足够的钱去完工呢？ 29 否则，他有可能打下地基，但却不能完工。到那时，所有看到这一切人就都会嘲笑他说： 30 ‘这个人只能开工，但是却不能完工！’
31 “如果一个国王出征与另一个国王打仗，他会不会首先坐下来，仔细考虑他的一万个士兵是否能抵挡另一个拥有两万个士兵的国王呢？ 32 如果不能，他就应该趁敌人还在远方时，派谴使者去与对方谈判和平的条件。 33 同样，如果你们有谁不能放弃他拥有的财产，就不能成为我的门徒。
不要失去你们的影响
34 “盐是好东西，但是，如果盐失去了咸味，它怎么可能再变咸呢？ 35 不咸的盐甚至对土壤和肥料都毫无益处，只好扔掉。
“凡有耳朵听的人，都听着！”

14 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the sabbath day, that they watched him.
2 And, behold, there was a certain man before him which had the dropsy.
3 And Jesus answering spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath day?
4 And they held their peace. And he took him, and healed him, and let him go;
5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?
6 And they could not answer him again to these things.
7 And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them.
8 When thou art bidden of any man to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;
9 And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.
10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.
11 For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
12 Then said he also to him that bade him, When thou makest a dinner or a supper, call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours; lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
13 But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
15 And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.
16 Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many:
17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready.
18 And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused.
19 And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused.
20 And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.
21 So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind.
22 And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room.
23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
24 For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.
25 And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,
26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.
27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.
28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?
29 Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him,
30 Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.
31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and consulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
32 Or else, while the other is yet a great way off, he sendeth an ambassage, and desireth conditions of peace.
33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
34 Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be seasoned?
35 It is neither fit for the land, nor yet for the dunghill; but men cast it out. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

14 ଗୋଟିଏ ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରରେ ଯୀଶୁ ଜଣେ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଫାରୂଶୀଙ୍କ ଘରକୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଏକାଠି ଖାଇବା ପାଇଁ ଗଲେ। ସେଠାରେ ଥିବା ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ସତର୍କତାର ସହିତ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କରୁଥିଲେ। 2 ଜଣେ ‘ଜଳୋଦର’[a] ରୋଗୀକୁ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସାମନାକୁ ଅଣାଗଲା। 3 ଯୀଶୁ ଫାରୂଶୀ ଓ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ପଗ୍ଭରିଲେ, “ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରରେ ଭଲ କରିଦେବା ଠିକ୍ ନା ଭୁଲ୍?” 4 ସେମାନେ କିନ୍ତୁ ଚୁପ୍ ରହିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଲୋକଟିକୁ ଧରି ସୁସ୍ଥ କରିଦେଲେ। ତା'ପରେ ସେହି ଲୋକଟି ଗ୍ଭଲିଗଲା। 5 ଯୀଶୁ ଧର୍ମଶାସ୍ତ୍ରୀ ଓ ଫାରୂଶୀମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଯଦି ବିଶ୍ରାମବାରରେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପୁଅ କିମ୍ବା ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ବଳଦଟି କୂଅ ଭିତରେ ଖସିପଡ଼େ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ କ’ଣ ତାକୁ ସଙ୍ଗେ ସଙ୍ଗେ ବାହାରକୁ ଟାଣି ଆଣିବ ନାହିଁ?” 6 ଯୀଶୁ ଯାହା ପଗ୍ଭରିଲେ ସେମାନେ କିଛି ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଇ ପାରିଲେ ନାହିଁ।
ନିଜକୁ ମହାନ୍ ବୋଲି ଭାବ ନାହିଁ।
7 ଯୀଶୁ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ କଲେ ଯେ, କେତେକ ଅତିଥି ବସିବା ପାଇଁ ଭଲ ଆସନଟିଏ ଖୋଜୁଥିଲେ। ତେଣୁ ଯୀଶୁ ଏହି ଦୃଷ୍ଟାନ୍ତ କହିଲେ: 8 “ଯଦି ଜଣେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବିବାହଉତ୍ସବରେ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରୁଛି, ତେବେ ସବୁଠାରୁ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଆସନରେ ବସ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ସେହି ଲୋକଟି ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ଅଧିକ ମହାନ୍ ଲୋକକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଡାକି ଥାଇପାରେ। 9 ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯଦି ସବୁଠାରୁ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଆସନରେ ବସିଥିବ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଥିବା ଲୋକଟି ଆସି କହିବେ, ‘ଏହି ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ଆସନଟି ଦେଇଦିଅ।’ ତା'ପରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ସେଠାରୁ ଉଠି ପଛରେ ଥିବା ଶେଷ ଆସନଟିକୁ ଯିବ। ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ବଡ଼ ଅପମାନ ଲାଗିବ।
10 “ତେଣୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଗୋଟିଏ ନିମ୍ନତମ ଆସନରେ ବସ। ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଥିବା ଲୋକଟି ଆସି ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ କହିବ, ‘ବନ୍ଧୁ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏଠାରେ ନ ବସି ଟିକିଏ ଆଗକୁ ଆସି ଏ ଭଲ ଆସନରେ ବସ।’ ସେତେବେଳେ ଅନ୍ୟ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ଅତିଥିମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ସମ୍ମାନ କରିବେ। 11 ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ନିଜକୁ ମହାନ୍ ଭାବେ, ତାକୁ ହୀନ କରି ଦିଆଯିବ। ଯେଉଁ ଲୋକ ନିଜକୁ ହୀନ ଭାବେ, ତାହାକୁ ମହାନ୍ କରାଯିବ।”
ତୁମ୍ଭେ ପୁରସ୍କାର ପାଇବ
12 ଯୀଶୁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଥିବା ଫାରୂଶୀ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ କାହାରିକୁ ଦିନରେ ବା ରାତିରେ ଖାଇବାକୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କଲାବେଳେ କେବଳ ତୁମ୍ଭର ଭାଇ, ବନ୍ଧୁ, କୁଟୁମ୍ବ ଓ ଧନୀ ପଡ଼ୋଶୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକ ନାହିଁ। କାରଣ ଅନ୍ୟ ବେଳେ ସେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ତାହାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଖାଇବାକୁ ଡାକିବେ। ସେତେବେଳେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପ୍ରତିଦାନ ପାଇଯିବ। 13 ବରଂ ଭୋଜି ଦେବା ସମୟରେ ଗରିବ, ପଙ୍ଗୁ, ଛୋଟା ଓ ଅନ୍ଧମାନଙ୍କୁ ଡାକ। 14 ଏ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କର କିଛି ନ ଥିବାରୁ ସେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭକୁ ପ୍ରତିବଦଳରେ କିଛି ଦେଇ ପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ। ତେଣୁ ଏହା ତୁମ୍ଭପାଇଁ ଆଶୀର୍ବାଦଜନକ ହେବ। କିନ୍ତୁ ଯେତେବେଳେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକମାନେ ମୃତମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜୀବିତ ହେବେ, ସେହି ସମୟରେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁମ୍ଭର ପୁରସ୍କାର ପାଇବ।”

15 ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଖାଇବାକୁ ବସିଥିବା ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଏ ସବୁ କଥା ଶୁଣି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଭୋଜନ କରୁଥିବା ଲୋକ ବହୁତ ଖୁସୀ ହେବ।”
16 ଯୀଶୁ ସେହି ଲୋକକୁ କହିଲେ, “ଥରେ ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ଗୋଟିଏ ବଡ଼ ରାତ୍ରିଭୋଜିର ବ୍ୟବସ୍ଥା କରିଥିଲେ। ସେ ବହୁତ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଥିଲେ। 17 ଖାଇବା ସମୟ ହେବାରୁ ସେ ଅତିଥିମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ ଏହି କଥା କହିବା ପାଇଁ ନିଜ ଗ୍ଭକରକୁ ପଠାଇଲେ: ‘ଆସନ୍ତୁ, ଭୋଜନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ହୋଇ ଗଲାଣି।’ 18 କିନ୍ତୁ ସମସ୍ତ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରିତ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିମାନେ କହିଲେ ଯେ, ସେମାନେ ଯାଇ ପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ। ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ବାହାନା କରି କ୍ଷମା ମାଗି ରହିଗଲେ। ପ୍ରଥମ ଲୋକଟି କହିଲା, ‘ମୁଁ ଏବେ ଖଣ୍ଡେ ଜମି କିଣିଛି। ସେହି ଜମିଟି ଦେଖିବାକୁ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ମୋତେ ଯିବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିବ। ଦୟାକରି ମୋତେ କ୍ଷମା କର।’ 19 ଆଉ ଜଣେ କହିଲା, ‘ମୁଁ ଏବେ ପାଞ୍ଚ ହଳ ବଳଦ କିଣିଛି। 20 ମୁଁ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପରଖିବାକୁ ଯିବାକୁ ବାହାରିଲିଣି। ଦୟାକରି ମୋତେ କ୍ଷମା କର।’ ତୃତୀୟ ଲୋକଟି କହିଲା, ‘ମୋର ତ ଏବେ ବାହାଘର ହୋଇଛି। ମୁଁ ଯାଇ ପାରିବି ନାହିଁ।’
21 “ତେଣୁ ଗ୍ଭକରଟି ଫେରି ଆସିଲା। ଯାହାସବୁ ଘଟିଥିଲା, ସେ ତା’ ମାଲିକକୁ ସବୁ କହିଲା, ଏହା ଶୁଣି ମାଲିକ ଖୁବ୍ ରାଗିଗଲେ ଓ କହିଲେ, “ନଗରର ରାସ୍ତା ଗଳିମାନଙ୍କୁ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଦୌଡ଼ିଯାଅ, ଏବଂ ଦୀନଦୁଃଖୀ, ପଙ୍ଗୁ, ଅନ୍ଧ ଓ ଛୋଟାମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏଠାକୁ ନେଇଆସ।’
22 “ପରେ ଗ୍ଭକରଟି ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲା, “ମାଲିକ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯାହା କହିଲ, ମୁଁ ତ କଲି। ତଥାପି ଆଉ ଅଧିକ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଜାଗା ବଳିଛି।’ 23 ମାଲିକ ଗ୍ଭକରକୁ କହିଲେ, ‘ରାଜପଥ ଓ ଗ୍ରାମପଥକୁ ଗ୍ଭଲିଯାଅ। ସେଠାରେ ଥିବା ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ଆସିବାକୁ କୁହ। ମୁଁ ଗ୍ଭହେଁ, ମୋ’ ଘର ପୁରାପୁରି ଭରିଯାଉ।’ 24 ଯେଉଁମାନଙ୍କୁ ମୁଁ ପ୍ରଥମେ ନିମନ୍ତ୍ରଣ କରିଥିଲି, ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ଜଣେ ହେଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୋ’ ସହିତ ଆଉ କେବେ ହେଁ ଭୋଜି ଖାଇବେ ନାହିଁ।’”
ପ୍ରଥମେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଯୋଜନା କର

25 ବହୁତ ଲୋକ ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଯାତ୍ରା କରୁଥିଲେ। ଯୀଶୁ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, 26 “ଯଦି ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ମୋ’ ପାଖକୁ ଆସେ, କିନ୍ତୁ ଯଦି ମୋ’ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ତା’ ବାପାମା, ସ୍ତ୍ରୀ, ପିଲା, ଭାଇଭଉଣୀମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଧିକ ଭଲ ପାଏ, ତେବେ ସେ ଲୋକ ମୋର ଶିଷ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ। ଜଣେ ଲୋକକୁ ତା’ ନିଜ ଅପେକ୍ଷା ମୋତେ ଅଧିକ ଭଲ ପାଇବାକୁ ହେବ। 27 ଜଣେ ଲୋକ ମୋତେ ଅନୁସରଣ କଲାବେଳେ ଯଦି ତାକୁ ଦିଆଯାଇଥିବା କ୍ରୁଶ କାନ୍ଧେଇ ଗ୍ଭଲିବ ନାହିଁ, ତେବେ ସେ ଲୋକ ମୋର ଶିଷ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।
28 “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯଦି ଗୋଟିଏ କୋଠାଘର ତିଆରି କରିବାକୁ ଗ୍ଭହୁଁଛ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରଥମେ ବସି ସ୍ଥିର କରିବ ଯେ, ଏଥିପାଇଁ କେତେ ଖର୍ଚ୍ଚ ହେବ। ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ହିସାବ କରି ଦେଖିବା ଉଚିତ୍ ଯେ, କାମଟି ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ ଅର୍ଥ ଅଛି କି ନାହିଁ। 29 ତା’ ନ ହେଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୂଳଦୁଆ ପକେଇ ଦେଇ କାମ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରି ପାର, କିନ୍ତୁ ଶେଷ କରି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ, ତେବେ ଏହାକୁ ଦେଖିଥିବା ଲୋକେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଉପହାସ କରିବେ। 30 ସେମାନେ କହିବେ, ‘ଏ ଲୋକଟା କୋଠା ଆରମ୍ଭ କରିଦେଲା, କିନ୍ତୁ ଶେଷ କରି ପାରିଲା ନାହିଁ।’
31 “ଯଦି ଜଣେ ରାଜା ଅନ୍ୟ ଜଣେ ରାଜାଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଯୁଦ୍ଧ କରିବାକୁ ବାହାରନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ସେ ଆଗ ବସି ଯୋଜନା କରନ୍ତି। ଯଦି ସେହି ରାଜାଙ୍କର କେବଳ ଦଶ ହଜାର ସୈନ୍ୟ ଥା’ନ୍ତି, ତେବେ ସେ କୋଡ଼ିଏ ହଜାର ସୈନ୍ୟ ଧରି ଆସୁଥିବା ଜଣେ ବିରୋଧୀ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରି ପାରିବେ ନାହିଁ। 32 ଯଦି ସେ ଅନ୍ୟ ରାଜାଙ୍କୁ ପରାସ୍ତ କରିବାକୁ ସକ୍ଷମ ହେବ ନାହିଁ, ତେବେ ବିରୋଧୀ ରାଜା ବହୁତ ଦୂରରେ ଥିବା ବେଳେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପାଖକୁ କିଛି ଲୋକ ପଠାଇ ସନ୍ଧି ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ ଦେବେ।
33 “ସେହିଭଳି ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସମସ୍ତେ ପ୍ରଥମେ ଯୋଜନା କରିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମୋତେ ଅନୁସରଣ କରିବାକୁ ଗ୍ଭହିଁଲେ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ବିଷୟ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରିବ। ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯଦି ତାହା କରି ନ ପାରିବ, ତେବେ ମୋର ଶିଷ୍ୟ ହୋଇ ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ।

34 “ଲୁଣ ଗୋଟିଏ ଭଳ ଜିନିଷ। ଲୁଣ ଯଦି ତା'ର ଲୁଣିଆ ସ୍ୱାଦ ହରାଇବ ସେ, ତେବେ ତା'ର କୌଣସି ମୂଲ୍ୟ ନାହିଁ। ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପୁଣି ଥରେ ତା'ର ଲୁଣିଆ ସ୍ୱାଦ ଫେରାଇ ଦେଇ ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ। 35 ଏହାକୁ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଏପରିକି ମାଟି ପାଇଁ ବା ଖତସାର ପାଇଁ ମଧ୍ୟ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରି ପାରିବ ନାହିଁ। ଲୋକେ ତାକୁ ଫୋପାଡ଼ି ଦିଅନ୍ତି।”
“ଯାହାର ଶୁଣିବାର ଅଛି, ସେ ଶୁଣୁ।”
