49 還說話的時候，有人從管會堂的家裡來，說：「你的女兒死了，不要勞動夫子。」 50 耶穌聽見就對他說：「不要怕，只要信！你的女兒就必得救。」 51 耶穌到了他的家，除了彼得、約翰、雅各和女兒的父母，不許別人同他進去。 52 眾人都為這女兒哀哭捶胸。耶穌說：「不要哭，她不是死了，是睡著了。」 53 他們曉得女兒已經死了，就嗤笑耶穌。 54 耶穌拉著她的手，呼叫說：「女兒，起來吧！」 55 她的靈魂便回來，她就立刻起來了。耶穌吩咐給她東西吃。

50 耶稣听见，就对雅鲁说：“不要怕，只要信。你的女儿一定会好的！”
51 到了雅鲁家，耶稣只准彼得、雅各、约翰和雅鲁夫妇跟祂进去。 52 屋内的人都在为那女孩哀伤哭泣，耶稣说：“不要哭，她没有死，只是睡着了。” 53 众人就讥笑祂，因为他们明明知道那女孩死了。 54 耶稣拉着那女孩的手，说：“孩子，起来！” 55 她的灵魂就回来了，她立刻站了起来。耶稣吩咐人给她东西吃。

49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader.(A) “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.”
50 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”
51 When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James,(B) and the child’s father and mother. 52 Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning(C) for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.”(D)
53 They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!”(E) 55 Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat.

50 But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; (B)only believe, and she will be made well.” 51 When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go [b]in except [c]Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl. 52 Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, (C)“Do not weep; she is not dead, (D)but sleeping.” 53 And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead.
54 But He [d]put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, (E)arise.” 55 Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat.
