⁷律法教師和法利賽人密切地監視耶穌，看祂會不會在安息日醫治病人，好找個藉口控告祂。 ⁸耶穌知道他們的心思，就對那個右手萎縮的人說：「起來，站在大家面前！」那人就起來站在那裡。

⁹耶穌問眾人：「我問你們，在安息日應該行善呢，還是作惡呢？救人呢，還是害人呢？」

⁷The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely^(A) to see if he would heal on the Sabbath.^(B) ⁸But Jesus knew what they were thinking^(C) and said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Get up and stand in front of everyone.” So he got up and stood there.

⁹Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy it?”
