³¹你們想要別人怎樣對待你們，你們就要怎樣對待別人。 ³²如果你們只愛那些愛你們的人，有什麼功勞呢？就是罪人也會這樣做。 ³³如果你們只善待那些善待你們的人，有什麼功勞呢？就是罪人也會這樣做。 ³⁴如果你們借錢給人，指望收回，有什麼功勞呢？即使罪人也會借貸給罪人，日後再如數收回。

³⁵「然而，要愛你們的仇敵，善待他們；無論借出什麼，都不要指望歸還。這樣，你們將有大賞賜，並且將成為至高者的兒子，因為祂以恩慈待那些忘恩負義和作惡的人。 ³⁶你們要憐憫人，像你們的天父憐憫人一樣。

責人先責己

³⁷「不要論斷人，免得你們被人論斷；不要定人的罪，免得自己也被定罪。要饒恕人，這樣你們也必蒙饒恕。 ³⁸你們要給他人，這樣上帝必給你們，並且會用大號升斗搖勻壓實，滿滿地倒給你們，因為你們用什麼樣的量器量給別人，上帝也會用什麼樣的量器量給你們。」

³¹Do to others as you would have them do to you.^(A)

³²“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?^(B) Even sinners love those who love them. ³³And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. ³⁴And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you?^(C) Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. ³⁵But love your enemies, do good to them,^(D) and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children^(E) of the Most High,^(F) because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. ³⁶Be merciful,^(G) just as your Father^(H) is merciful.

Judging Others^(I)

³⁷“Do not judge, and you will not be judged.^(J) Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.^(K) ³⁸Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.^(L) For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”^(M)
