耶穌受試探
4 耶穌被聖靈充滿，從約旦河回來後，隨聖靈的引導來到曠野， 2 在那裡受魔鬼的試探四十天。那些日子耶穌什麼也沒吃。那段日子過後，祂餓了。 3 魔鬼對祂說：「如果你是上帝的兒子，可以把這塊石頭變成食物來吃啊。」
4 耶穌回答說：「聖經上說，『人活著不是單靠食物。』」
5 魔鬼又帶祂上到高處，頃刻間把天下萬國展示給祂看， 6 又說：「我要把這一切權勢和榮耀都給你，因為這一切全交給我了，我想給誰就給誰。 7 所以如果你向我下拜，這一切就是你的了。」
8 耶穌回答說：「聖經上說，『要敬拜主——你的上帝，單單事奉祂。』」
9 魔鬼又帶耶穌到耶路撒冷，讓祂站在聖殿的最高處，說：「如果你是上帝的兒子，就從這裡跳下去吧， 10 因為聖經上說，『上帝會吩咐祂的天使保護你， 11 他們會用手托住你，不讓你的腳碰在石頭上。』」
12 耶穌回答說：「聖經上說，『不可試探主——你的上帝。』」
13 魔鬼用盡各樣的試探後，暫時離開了耶穌。
拿撒勒人厭棄耶穌
14 耶穌帶著聖靈的能力回到加利利，祂的名聲傳遍了周圍地區。 15 祂在各會堂裡教導人，大家都稱讚祂。
16 祂來到自己長大的地方拿撒勒，照常在安息日進會堂，並站起來誦讀聖經。 17 有人把以賽亞先知書遞給祂，祂打開書卷，找到這樣一段經文：
18 「主的靈在我身上，
因為祂膏立了我，
讓我傳福音給貧窮的人，
差遣我宣告被擄的人得釋放、
瞎眼的人得見光明、
受欺壓的人得自由，
19 又宣告上帝悅納人的恩年已經來臨。」
20 耶穌讀完便收好書卷，還給負責的人，然後坐下。會堂裡的人都把目光集中在祂身上。
21 祂就對他們說：「你們剛才聽見的這段經文今天已經應驗了。」
22 大家都稱讚祂，聽見祂那些充滿恩典的話，都感到驚奇，就說：「這不是約瑟的兒子嗎？」
23 耶穌對他們說：「你們肯定會把這句俗話用在我身上，說，『醫生啊，治好你自己吧！你在迦百農所行的一切，我們都聽說了，也在你家鄉行給我們看吧！』 24 可是我實在告訴你們，先知在自己的家鄉都是不受歡迎的。 25 事實上，在以利亞先知的時代，天乾旱無雨達三年半之久，遍地有大饑荒。那時，以色列國有許多寡婦， 26 但以利亞並沒有奉命去幫助她們任何人，只奉命去幫助住在西頓地區撒勒法的一個寡婦。 27 在以利沙先知的時代，以色列國有許多患痲瘋病的人，但沒有一個人得到醫治，反而敘利亞的乃縵得到了醫治。」
28 會堂裡的人聽了這些話都怒火中燒， 29 就起來把耶穌趕出城外，帶到懸崖邊，要把祂推下去。他們的城就坐落在山上。 30 耶穌卻從他們中間穿過，離開了那裡。
加利利趕鬼醫病
31 耶穌下到加利利的迦百農鎮，在安息日教導眾人。 32 聽眾對祂的教導感到驚奇，因為祂的話裡充滿權柄。
33 在會堂裡有一個被污鬼附身的人高聲喊叫： 34 「唉！拿撒勒的耶穌啊，我們和你有什麼關係？你是來毀滅我們嗎？我知道你是誰，你是上帝的聖者！」
35 耶穌責備牠說：「住口！從他身上出來！」污鬼當場把那人摔倒，然後從他身上離開了，絲毫沒有傷害他。
36 大家都很驚訝，彼此議論說：「這是怎麼回事？祂的話竟然帶著權柄和能力，一吩咐污鬼，牠們就出來了！」
37 耶穌的名聲傳遍了周圍地區。
耶穌醫治許多人
38 祂離開會堂，到了西門的家。那時，西門的岳母正在發高燒，眾人就求耶穌醫治她。
39 耶穌站在她旁邊，斥責熱病，熱病就退了，她便立刻起來服侍他們。
40 到了黃昏，人們把患各種疾病的人帶到耶穌面前。耶穌把手按在病人身上，一一治好他們， 41 並趕出許多附在人身上的鬼。那些鬼喊叫著：「你是上帝的兒子！」耶穌卻斥責牠們，不許牠們說話，因為牠們知道祂是基督。
42 黎明時，耶穌退到一處僻靜的地方。眾人四處找祂，找到後想留住祂，不讓祂離開。 43 但耶穌對他們說：「我必須把上帝國的福音傳到其他的城鎮去，因為我是為此而被差來的。」 44 於是耶穌繼續在加利利[a]各會堂裡傳道。

耶稣经受魔鬼的诱惑
4 耶稣满怀圣灵的力量，从约旦河返回。他在圣灵的引导下，来到了旷野。 2 他在那里度过了四十天，经受魔鬼撒旦的诱惑。这些天里，他没吃任何食物，等到四十天结束时，他感到非常饥饿。
3 这时，魔鬼对他说∶“如果你是上帝之子，就命令这块石头变成面包吧！”
4 耶稣答道∶“《经》上说：
‘人不能只靠面包活着。’” (A)
5 然后，魔鬼又把耶稣带到高处，把世间万国在眨眼之间都显示在他眼前。 6 魔鬼说∶“我将把它们的一切王权和荣耀都给你，因为它们都已交给了我，我想把它们送给谁就送给谁， 7 所以，如果你崇拜我，这都归你了。”
8 耶稣回答道：《经》上写道：
“‘你必须崇拜主—你的上帝， 并且只侍奉他！’” 。” (B)
9 然后，魔鬼又把耶稣带到了耶路撒冷，让他站在大殿院上一个很高的地方，对他说∶“如果你是上帝之子，就跳下去吧！ 10 因为《经》上说：
‘上帝将吩咐天使照看你。’ (C)
11 《经》上还写着，
‘他们会用手接住你，使你的脚不会跌到石头上。’” (D)
12 耶稣回答道∶“可是，《经》上还说：
‘不可试探主—你的上帝。’” (E)
13 魔鬼把所有的诱惑手段用完后，便离开了耶稣，等待更好的时机。
耶稣在加利利开始传教
14 耶稣返回加利利，他充满了圣灵的力量。此时，有关他的消息已经传遍了四方。 15 耶稣开始在会堂 [a]里教导人们，并受到了所有人的称赞。
耶稣返回家乡
16 此后，他到了拿撒勒城，他是在那里长大的。在安息日那天，他按照常规去了会堂，站在那里向人们读《经》。 17 有人把先知以赛亚的书递给他，他打开书，翻到一页，上面写道：
18 “主的灵指引着我，
因为上帝挑选了我，为贫穷的人们传播福音，
他派我来宣告：
所有的奴隶都将获得解放，
所有的盲人都将重见光明，
受压迫的人将获得自由，
19 并宣布主向众人施善的恩年！” (F)
20 耶稣合上书，还给执事，然后坐下。这时，会堂里所有的人都注视着他。 21 耶稣说道∶“刚才你们听见的这段经文，今天得以实现了！”
22 在场的人都称赞耶稣，大家对他优雅的措辞，感到十分惊奇。人们说着∶“这怎么可能呢?难道他不就是约瑟的儿子吗？”
23 耶稣又说∶“当然你们会对我引用这句俗话：医生啊，治好你自己吧。你们还会说：我们已经听说了你在迦百农的所作所为，那么，就在你的家乡再做一遍吧！” 24 耶稣又说道∶“我实话告诉你们吧：没有一位先知在自己家乡被接受。 25 我给你们讲一个真实的事情：在以利亚先知时代，以色列有很多寡妇，那时，连续三年半无雨，遍地大饥荒。 26 上帝派以利亚只去探望一位在西顿的撒勒法的寡妇，除她之外，没有派以利亚去探望其他任何寡妇。 27 当时，以色列有很多患麻风病的人，但是，除了叙利亚人乃缦被治愈外，其他人都没得到治愈。”
28 听到这里，会堂里所有的人们都气愤极了， 29 他们起来把耶稣拉出城去，此城座落在一座山坡上，人们把耶稣带到山崖上，要把他推下去， 30 但是耶稣却从人群中从容地走开了。
耶稣解救被邪灵附体的人
31 此后，耶稣到了加利利的迦百农城。安息日那天，他教导人们。 32 人们对他的教导都非常惊讶，因为他带着权威讲话。
33 当时，会堂里有一个被邪灵附身的人，他叫喊着： 34 “拿撒勒城的耶稣，你要把我们怎么样？你是要来毁灭我们的吗？我知道你是谁，你是上帝的圣人！” 35 耶稣斥责他道∶“住口！离开这个人！”邪灵把他摔在众人面前，从他身上逃走了，丝毫也没有伤害他。
36 众人都非常惊讶，他们彼此议论起来∶“这是怎么回事呢？他居然有权威和力量命令邪灵，而邪灵竟也听命于他，出来了。” 37 关于耶稣的消息传遍了整个地区。
耶稣治愈西门的岳母
38 耶稣离开会堂，来到西门 [b]家里。西门的岳母正在发高烧。他们请求耶稣为她治病。 39 耶稣站在她身边，斥责她身上的热病，烧便退了，西门的岳母便起来开始招待他们。
耶稣治好了许多人
40 当太阳落山时，人们把患有各种疾病的人都带到耶稣那里。耶稣把手依次放在他们身上，治好了他们的病。 41 鬼从很多人的身上跑了出去，这些鬼连喊带叫地说∶“你就是‘上帝之子’！”但是，耶稣斥责了他们，不许他们讲话，因为鬼知道他就是基督。
耶稣去其它城镇
42 天亮的时候，耶稣出去，独自来到了一个偏僻的地方，但是人们仍旧寻找到了他，他们来到了耶稣那里，设法挽留他，不要他离开。 43 但是，耶稣说∶“我必须到其它城镇去传播上帝王国的福音，因为这是我被派遣到这里的原因！”
44 于是，耶稣在犹太各会堂继续传播福音。

The Testing of Jesus
4 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit in the wilderness,(A) 2 where for forty days he was tested by the devil. He ate nothing at all during those days, and when they were over he was famished.(B) 3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become a loaf of bread.” 4 Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘One does not live by bread alone.’ ”(C)
5 Then the devil[a] led him up and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6 And the devil[b] said to him, “To you I will give all this authority and their glory, for it has been given over to me, and I give it to anyone I please.(D) 7 If you, then, will worship me, it will all be yours.” 8 Jesus answered him, “It is written,
‘Worship the Lord your God,
and serve only him.’ ”(E)
9 Then the devil[c] led him to Jerusalem and placed him on the pinnacle of the temple and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, 10 for it is written,
‘He will command his angels concerning you,
to protect you,’(F)
11 and
‘On their hands they will bear you up,
so that you will not dash your foot against a stone.’ ”
12 Jesus answered him, “It is said, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ ”(G) 13 When the devil had finished every test, he departed from him until an opportune time.(H)
The Beginning of the Galilean Ministry
14 Then Jesus, in the power of the Spirit, returned to Galilee, and a report about him spread through all the surrounding region.(I) 15 He began to teach in their synagogues and was praised by everyone.(J)
The Rejection of Jesus at Nazareth
16 When he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, he went to the synagogue on the Sabbath day, as was his custom. He stood up to read,(K) 17 and the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was given to him. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written:
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set free those who are oppressed,(L)
19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”(M)
20 And he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on him.(N) 21 Then he began to say to them, “Today this scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” 22 All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth. They said, “Is this not Joseph’s son?”(O) 23 He said to them, “Doubtless you will quote to me this proverb, ‘Doctor, cure yourself!’ And you will say, ‘Do here also in your hometown the things that we have heard you did at Capernaum.’ ”(P) 24 And he said, “Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown.(Q) 25 But the truth is, there were many widows in Israel in the time of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months and there was a severe famine over all the land,(R) 26 yet Elijah was sent to none of them except to a widow at Zarephath in Sidon. 27 There were also many with a skin disease in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.”(S) 28 When they heard this, all in the synagogue were filled with rage. 29 They got up, drove him out of the town, and led him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, so that they might hurl him off the cliff.(T) 30 But he passed through the midst of them and went on his way.(U)
The Man with an Unclean Spirit
31 He went down to Capernaum, a city in Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbath.(V) 32 They were astounded at his teaching because he spoke with authority.(W) 33 In the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, 34 “Leave us alone! What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.”(X) 35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet and come out of him!” Then the demon, throwing the man down before them, came out of him without doing him any harm.(Y) 36 They were all astounded and kept saying to one another, “What kind of word is this, that with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits and they come out?”(Z) 37 And news about him began to reach every place in the region.(AA)
Healings at Simon’s House
38 After leaving the synagogue he entered Simon’s house. Now Simon’s mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked him about her. 39 Then he stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. Immediately she got up and began to serve them.(AB)
40 As the sun was setting, all those caring for any who were sick with various kinds of diseases brought them to him, and he laid his hands on each of them and cured them.(AC) 41 Moreover, demons also came out of many, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But he rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Messiah.[d](AD)
Jesus Preaches in the Synagogues
42 At daybreak he departed and went into a deserted place. And the crowds began looking for him, and when they reached him they tried to keep him from leaving them.(AE) 43 But he said to them, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose.” 44 So he continued proclaiming the message in the synagogues of Judea.[e](AF)
