²²大家都稱讚祂，聽見祂那些充滿恩典的話，都感到驚奇，就說：「這不是約瑟的兒子嗎？」

²³耶穌對他們說：「你們肯定會把這句俗話用在我身上，說，『醫生啊，治好你自己吧！你在迦百農所行的一切，我們都聽說了，也在你家鄉行給我們看吧！』 ²⁴可是我實在告訴你們，先知在自己的家鄉都是不受歡迎的。

²²And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

²³And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.

²⁴And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.

²³Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to me: ‘Physician, heal yourself!’ And you will tell me, ‘Do here in your hometown^(B) what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.’”^(C)

²⁴“Truly I tell you,” he continued, “no prophet is accepted in his hometown.^(D)
