猶大出賣耶穌
22 除酵節，又名逾越節，快到了。 2 祭司長和律法教師因為害怕百姓，便密謀如何殺害耶穌。 3 這時，撒旦進入加略人猶大的心，這人原是十二使徒之一。 4 他去見祭司長和聖殿護衛長，商議如何把耶穌出賣給他們， 5 他們喜出望外，答應給猶大一筆酬金。 6 猶大同意了，便伺機找百姓不在的場合將耶穌交給他們。
最後的晚餐
7 除酵節到了，那天要宰殺逾越羊羔。 8 耶穌差派彼得和約翰出去，說：「你們為我們準備逾越節吃的晚餐。」
9 他們問：「你要我們到哪裡去預備呢？」
10 耶穌回答說：「你們進城的時候，一個男子會扛著一瓶水迎面走來，你們要跟著他，他進哪所房子，你們也進去， 11 對房子的主人說，『老師問你客房在哪裡，祂要和門徒在裡面吃逾越節的晚餐。』 12 那主人會帶你們到樓上一間佈置整齊的大房間，你們就在那裡預備吧。」
13 他們進了城，所遇見的果然和耶穌所說的一樣。他們便在那裡預備逾越節的晚餐。
設立聖餐
14 晚餐時，耶穌和使徒們一同坐席。 15 耶穌對他們說：「我一直盼望在受難之前和你們同吃這個逾越節的宴席。 16 我告訴你們，在這宴席成就在上帝的國度之前，我不會再吃這宴席了。」
17 祂接過杯來，祝謝後，說：「你們拿去分著喝吧。 18 我告訴你們，在上帝的國降臨之前，我不會再喝這葡萄酒了。」
19 接著，祂拿起餅來，祝謝後，掰開遞給他們，說：「這是我為你們犧牲的身體，你們今後也要這樣做，以紀念我。」
20 飯後，祂又舉起杯來，說：「這杯是用我的血立的新約，這血是為你們流的。
21 「但是看啊，那出賣我之人的手和我的手都在桌子上。 22 按照所定的，人子要死去，但那出賣人子的人有禍了！」 23 他們開始彼此追問誰會出賣耶穌。
誰最偉大
24 門徒又開始爭論他們當中誰最偉大。 25 耶穌對他們說：「外族人有君王統治他們，那些統治者被稱為恩主， 26 但你們不可這樣。相反，你們中間地位最高的，要像最卑微的；做首領的，要像服侍人的。 27 坐著吃飯的和伺候的哪個地位高呢？難道不是坐著的那個嗎？然而，我在你們當中是服侍人的。
28 「在我患難之時，你們一直在我身邊， 29 所以，我父怎樣將國賜給我，我也照樣將國賜給你們， 30 使你們在我的國中和我一同坐席，並且坐在寶座上審判以色列的十二個支派。」
預言彼得不認主
31 耶穌說：「西門！西門！撒旦已經要求像篩麥子一樣篩你們， 32 但我已經為你禱告了，叫你不至於失去信心。你回頭以後，要讓你的弟兄剛強。」
33 西門·彼得說：「主啊，我願意和你一起坐牢，一起受死！」
34 耶穌說：「彼得，我告訴你，明早雞叫之前，你會三次不認我。」
35 耶穌又問門徒：「我派你們出去的時候，無錢袋、背包和鞋子，你們有任何缺乏嗎？」
他們答道：「沒有。」
36 耶穌說：「但現在如果有錢袋或背包，都要帶著；如果沒有刀劍，要賣掉衣服買刀劍。 37 我告訴你們，『祂要被列在罪犯中』這句經文必在我身上應驗，因為聖經上有關我的事情快要實現了。」
38 他們說：「主啊，請看，這裡有兩把刀。」耶穌說：「夠了。」
橄欖山上的禱告
39 耶穌離開，像往常一樣前往橄欖山，門徒也跟去了。 40 到了山上，祂對門徒說：「你們要禱告，以免陷入誘惑！」
41 然後，祂獨自走到離門徒約有扔一塊石頭那麼遠的地方跪下禱告： 42 「父啊，若你願意，求你撤去此杯，然而，願你的旨意成就，而非我的意願。」 43 有一位從天上來的天使向祂顯現，給祂加添力量。
44 祂心中極其悲痛，禱告更懇切，汗珠如血滴在地上。
45 祂禱告完後，便起身回到門徒那裡，看見他們因憂愁而疲憊地睡著了， 46 就說：「你們為什麼睡覺呢？要起來禱告，以免陷入誘惑！」
耶穌被捕
47 耶穌還在說話的時候，十二使徒中的猶大已帶著一群人趕到，他上前親吻耶穌。 48 耶穌對他說：「猶大，你用親吻的暗號來出賣人子嗎？」
49 跟隨耶穌的人見他們來勢洶洶，就說：「主啊，我們該拔刀抵抗嗎？」 50 其中一人拔刀朝大祭司的奴僕砍過去，削掉了他的右耳。
51 耶穌卻說：「住手！夠了！」於是祂摸那奴僕的耳朵，治好了他， 52 然後對前來抓祂的祭司長、聖殿護衛長和長老說：「你們像對付強盜一樣拿著刀棍來抓我嗎？ 53 我天天和你們一起在聖殿裡，你們沒有抓我。但現在正是黑暗當權、你們得勢的時候了！」
彼得不認主
54 他們把耶穌押到大祭司的府第。彼得遠遠地跟在後面。
55 他們在庭院當中生起了火，圍坐取暖，彼得也坐在他們中間。 56 有個婢女看見彼得坐在火堆邊，打量他一番後，說：「這人是與耶穌一夥的！」
57 彼得卻否認說：「你這女子，我不認識祂。」
58 過了一會兒，又有個人看見了彼得，就說：「你也是跟他們一夥的！」
彼得說：「你這人，我不是！」
59 大約一小時之後，又有人指著彼得肯定地說：「這人確實是和耶穌一夥的，因為他也是加利利人。」
60 彼得說：「你這人，我不知道你在說什麼！」話才出口，雞就叫了。
61 這時，主轉過頭來望著彼得，彼得想起主對他說的話：「明早雞叫之前，你會三次不認我。」 62 他就到外面，痛哭起來。
在公會受審
63 看守耶穌的人嘲弄祂，毆打祂， 64 蒙住祂的眼睛，對祂說：「說預言吧！是誰在打你？」 65 還說了許多侮辱祂的話。
66 天亮後，民間的長老、祭司長和律法教師聚在一起，把耶穌押到他們的公會， 67 對祂說：「如果你是基督，就告訴我們。」
耶穌說：「即使我告訴你們，你們也不會相信。 68 如果我問你們，你們也不會回答。 69 但從今以後，人子要坐在全能上帝的右邊。」
70 他們都問：「那麼，你是上帝的兒子嗎？」耶穌回答說：「你們說我是。」
71 他們說：「我們還需要什麼見證呢？我們已經聽見祂自己說的了。」

13 彼得和约翰离去，发现所遇到的事情与耶稣描述的情景一样，于是，他们就准备了逾越节宴席。
主的晚餐
14 吃逾越晚餐的时候到了，耶稣坐在桌旁，使徒们也一同坐在桌旁。 15 耶稣对他们说∶“在我受难之前，我一直非常想和你们吃这顿逾越餐， 16 因为，我告诉你们，直到它在上帝王国里被赐予了真正的意义后，我才能再吃逾越餐。”
17 说完，耶稣举起酒 [b]杯来，向上帝谢恩，然后说道∶“把这杯酒拿去，你们分着喝了吧！ 18 因为，我告诉你们，从现在开始，直到上帝王国的到来，我将滴酒不沾。”
19 然后，耶稣拿起一块饼，向上帝谢恩，把它掰开，分给了使徒们，说∶“这是我为你们牺牲的身体，吃了它，为的是纪念我。”
20 使徒们吃完后，耶稣又端起杯，说∶“这杯酒代表上帝对他子民的新契约，当我为你们抛洒热血时，新契约便开始了。” [c]
谁将背叛耶稣？
21 耶稣说∶“看吧！那个将出卖我的人的手也和我的手一同放在这桌上。 22 因为，就像上帝决定的那样，人子即将死去。但是，出卖他的那个人要遭殃了。”
23 使徒们便开始互相询问：“咱们中间，谁会做那事呢？”
像仆人一样
24 使徒们又发生了一场争论，争论谁是他们中最伟大的人， 25 但是耶稣对他们说∶“世上的国王主宰着他们的人民，在人民头上施加权力的人想被称为‘恩主’。 26 但是，你们不能像那样，恰恰相反，你们中间最伟大的应该像最年幼的人一样；统治别人的人，应该像侍奉的人一样。 27 谁是更伟大的：是那位坐在桌边的人，还是那位伺候他人的人呢？难道不是那位坐在桌边上的人吗？但是我在你们中间就像伺候人的人。
28 但是，在我经历的考验中，你们是那些和我站在一边的人， 29 因此，我把王国的权力交给你们，就像我父把它交给了我一样， 30 所以你们就能够在我的王国里与我同桌吃喝，你们还会坐在宝座上，审判以色列的十二支派。
彼得经不起考验
31 西门，西门，听着！魔鬼撒旦已经要求，把你们像筛小麦一样筛了。 32 但是，我已经为你祈祷了，使你不至于失去信仰。西门，当你再回归时，你要加强你兄弟们的信仰。”
33 可是，彼得西门却对耶稣说∶“主啊，我时刻准备着与你一同坐牢，一直到死！”
34 耶稣却说∶“彼得啊，我告诉你吧，彼得，今天鸡叫前，你将三次说，你不认识我。”
准备应付困境
35 耶稣又对使徒们说∶“过去，我派你们出门的时候，总是不让你们带钱袋、口袋和多余的鞋子，你们缺过什么东西吗？”
使徒们说∶“什么都不缺。”
36 耶稣又说∶“但是，现在，有钱包的就带上钱包；有口袋的就带上口袋。如果谁还没有宝剑，就应该把自己的斗篷卖了，去买一把。 37 因为，我告诉你们，《经》上关于我的记载：
‘他被认为是一个罪人。’ (A)
《经》上这条必定要实现，是的，针对我所说的这一条，正在实现。”
38 门徒们说∶“主啊，您看，这里有两把剑。”
耶稣对他们说∶“足够了！”
耶稣独自祈祷
39 然后，耶稣便像往常一样离开到橄榄山去了。门徒们都跟随着他。 40 当他们到了那个地方时，耶稣对他们说∶“祷告你们免受诱惑吧。”
41 然后，他退到了离使徒们大约有五十步远的地方跪下来，祷告着∶“父，如果您愿意，就把这杯苦酒端开吧， 42 不过，请不要做我想的事，而是按您的意愿去做吧。” 43 来自天上的一个天使出现在耶稣的面前，增添了他的力量。 44 在极度的痛苦之中，耶稣更加迫切地祷告着，他的汗水就像血水一样，一滴一滴地滴在了地上。 45 耶稣祈祷完，起身回到门徒们那里，他发现他们因为悲伤而精疲力竭，所以都睡着了。 46 耶稣对他们说∶“你们为什么要睡觉呢？都起来，祈祷自己免受诱惑吧。”
耶稣被捕
47 耶稣正说话时，十二使徒中的犹大，带着一群人来了，犹大走近耶稣要吻他， 48 但是，耶稣对他说∶“犹大，你要用亲吻出卖人子吗？”
49 他周围的人看到发生的事情，便说∶“主啊，我们要用这把剑砍杀吗？” 50 他们其中一个人便朝大祭司的奴仆砍去，砍掉了他的右耳朵。
51 但是，耶稣说道∶“住手，到此为止！”并伸手摸了那个仆人的耳朵，治好了他。
52 然后，耶稣对来抓他的祭司长、大殿的警卫和年长的犹太首领说∶“你们带着刀剑和棍棒出来，难道我是个强盗吗？ 53 我每天都和你们一起在大殿院里，你们那时却不来抓我。但是，现在你们横行的时刻－黑暗统治的时刻到了。”
彼得不敢说他认识耶稣
54 他们逮捕了耶稣，把他带到了大祭司的府邸。彼得远远地跟着他们。 55 他们在院子当中拢起了一堆篝火，然后坐在一起，彼得也坐在他们中间。 56 这时，一个女仆趁着火光看见了他。她仔细地打量了他一番，然后说∶“这个人也是和耶稣一起的。”
57 但是，彼得却否认说∶“女子，我不认识他！” 58 过了一会儿，另外一个人看见了他，说道∶“你也是他们当中的一个！”
但是，彼得说∶“你这个人，我不是！”
59 大约一个小时后，又有一个人坚持说∶“我敢肯定，这个人是和他一起的，因为他是加利利人。”
60 可是，彼得却说∶“你这个人，我真不明白你在说些什么！”
话音还没落，鸡就叫了， 61 耶稣转过身来，注视着彼得，彼得想起耶稣告诉过他的话∶“今天鸡叫之前，你将三次说，你不认识我。” 62 想到这里，彼得出去痛哭起来。
看守虐待耶稣
63 看守耶稣的那些人开始戏弄和殴打他，他们把他的眼蒙上， 64 然后问他∶“先知，打你的人是谁呀？” 65 那些人还说了很多侮辱他的话。
在犹太首领面前
66 第二天早晨，年长的犹太首领、祭司长、律法师聚在一起，他们把耶稣带到了议会。 67 他们说∶“如果你是基督，就告诉我们。”
耶稣对他们说∶“如果我告诉你们我就是基督，你们也不会相信我； 68 如果我问你们问题，你们也不会回答。 69 但是，从现在开始，人子将要坐在万能制的上帝的右侧了。”
70 那些人又说∶“那么，你就是上帝之子了？”耶稣说∶“是的，你们这话没错。”
71 他们又说∶“为什么我们还需要进一步证实呢？我们自己已经听到他亲口说的话了。”

The Plot to Kill Jesus
22 Now the feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called the Passover. 2 And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to put him to death; for they feared the people.
3 Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve; 4 he went away and conferred with the chief priests and officers how he might betray him to them. 5 And they were glad, and engaged to give him money. 6 So he agreed, and sought an opportunity to betray him to them in the absence of the multitude.
The Preparation of the Passover
7 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the passover lamb had to be sacrificed. 8 So Jesus[a] sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the passover for us, that we may eat it.” 9 They said to him, “Where will you have us prepare it?” 10 He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you; follow him into the house which he enters, 11 and tell the householder, ‘The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest room, where I am to eat the passover with my disciples?’ 12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished; there make ready.” 13 And they went, and found it as he had told them; and they prepared the passover.
The Institution of the Lord’s Supper
14 And when the hour came, he sat at table, and the apostles with him. 15 And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer; 16 for I tell you I shall not eat it[b] until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 17 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, “Take this, and divide it among yourselves; 18 for I tell you that from now on I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” 19 And he took bread, and when he had given thanks he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And likewise the cup after supper, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood.[c] 21 But behold the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table. 22 For the Son of man goes as it has been determined; but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!” 23 And they began to question one another, which of them it was that would do this.
The Dispute about Greatness
24 A dispute also arose among them, which of them was to be regarded as the greatest. 25 And he said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and those in authority over them are called benefactors. 26 But not so with you; rather let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. 27 For which is the greater, one who sits at table, or one who serves? Is it not the one who sits at table? But I am among you as one who serves.
28 “You are those who have continued with me in my trials; 29 and I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom, 30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial
31 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you,[d] that he might sift you[e] like wheat, 32 but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail; and when you have turned again, strengthen your brethren.” 33 And he said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death.” 34 He said, “I tell you, Peter, the cock will not crow this day, until you three times deny that you know me.”
Purse, Bag, and Sword
35 And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.” 36 He said to them, “But now, let him who has a purse take it, and likewise a bag. And let him who has no sword sell his mantle and buy one. 37 For I tell you that this scripture must be fulfilled in me, ‘And he was reckoned with transgressors’; for what is written about me has its fulfilment.” 38 And they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” And he said to them, “It is enough.”
Jesus Prays on the Mount of Olives
39 And he came out, and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples followed him. 40 And when he came to the place he said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.” 41 And he withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, 42 “Father, if thou art willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”[f] 45 And when he rose from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 and he said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
The Betrayal and Arrest of Jesus
47 While he was still speaking, there came a crowd, and the man called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him; 48 but Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of man with a kiss?” 49 And when those who were about him saw what would follow, they said, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” 50 And one of them struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his right ear. 51 But Jesus said, “No more of this!” And he touched his ear and healed him. 52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? 53 When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”
Peter Denies Jesus
54 Then they seized him and led him away, bringing him into the high priest’s house. Peter followed at a distance; 55 and when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat among them. 56 Then a maid, seeing him as he sat in the light and gazing at him, said, “This man also was with him.” 57 But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I do not know him.” 58 And a little later some one else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.” 59 And after an interval of about an hour still another insisted, saying, “Certainly this man also was with him; for he is a Galilean.” 60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are saying.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the cock crowed. 61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the cock crows today, you will deny me three times.” 62 And he went out and wept bitterly.
The Mocking and Beating of Jesus
63 Now the men who were holding Jesus mocked him and beat him; 64 they also blindfolded him and asked him, “Prophesy! Who is it that struck you?” 65 And they spoke many other words against him, reviling him.
Jesus before the Council
66 When day came, the assembly of the elders of the people gathered together, both chief priests and scribes; and they led him away to their council, and they said, 67 “If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you will not believe; 68 and if I ask you, you will not answer. 69 But from now on the Son of man shall be seated at the right hand of the power of God.” 70 And they all said, “Are you the Son of God, then?” And he said to them, “You say that I am.” 71 And they said, “What further testimony do we need? We have heard it ourselves from his own lips.”
