耶稣基督降生（参(A)
2 那时，有谕旨从凯撒奥古士督颁发下来，叫普天下的人登记户口。 2 这是第一次户口登记，是在居里纽作叙利亚总督的时候举行的。 3 众人各归各城去登记户口。 4 约瑟本是大卫家族的人，也从加利利的拿撒勒上犹太去，到了大卫的城伯利恒， 5 与所聘之妻马利亚一同登记户口。那时马利亚的身孕已经重了。 6 他们在那里的时候，马利亚的产期到了， 7 生了头胎儿子，用布包着，放在马槽里，因为客店里没有地方。
天使向牧羊人报喜信
8 在伯利恒的郊外，有一些牧人在夜间看守羊群。 9 主的一位使者站在他们旁边，主的荣光四面照着他们，他们就非常害怕。 10 天使说：“不要怕！看哪！我报给你们大喜的信息，是关于万民的： 11 今天在大卫的城里，为你们生了救主，就是主基督。 12 你们要找到一个婴孩，包着布，卧在马槽里，那就是记号了。” 13 忽然有一大队天兵，同那天使一起赞美 神说：

在圣殿奉献耶稣
22 满了洁净的日子，他们就按着摩西的律法，带孩子上耶路撒冷去，奉献给主。 23 正如主的律法所记：“所有头生的男孩，都当称为圣归给主。” 24 又照着主的律法所说的献上祭物，就是一对斑鸠或两只雏鸽。
25 在耶路撒冷有一个人，名叫西面，这人公义虔诚，一向期待以色列的安慰者来到，又有圣灵在他身上。 26 圣灵启示他，在死前必得见主所应许的基督， 27 他又受圣灵感动进了圣殿。那时，耶稣的父母抱着孩子进来，要按着律法的规矩为他行礼。 28 西面就把他接到手上，称颂 神说：
29 “主啊，现在照你的话，
释放仆人平平安安地去吧！
30 因我的眼睛已经看见你的救恩，
31 就是你在万民面前所预备的，
32 为要作外族人启示的光，
和你民以色列的荣耀。”
33 他父母因论到他的这些话而希奇。 34 西面给他们祝福，对他母亲马利亚说：“看哪！这孩子被立，要叫以色列中许多人跌倒，许多人兴起，又要成为反对的目标， 35 （你自己的心也会被刀刺透，）这样，许多人心中的意念就要被揭露出来。” 36 又有一个女先知，就是亚拿，是亚设支派法内利的女儿。她已经上了年纪，从童女出嫁，和丈夫住了七年， 37 就寡居了，直到八十四岁（“就寡居了，直到八十四岁”或译：“就寡居了八十四年”）。她没有离开过圣殿，以禁食和祷告昼夜事奉主。 38 就在那时候，她前来称谢 神，并且向期待耶路撒冷蒙救赎的众人，讲论孩子的事。
39 他们按着主的律法办完一切，就回加利利，到自己的城拿撒勒去了。 40 孩子渐渐长大，强壮起来，充满智慧，有 神的恩典在他身上。

41 每年逾越节，他父母都上耶路撒冷去。 42 当他十二岁时，他们按着节期的惯例，照常上去。 43 过完了节，他们回去的时候，孩童耶稣仍留在耶路撒冷，他父母却不知道， 44 还以为他在同行的人中间。走了一天，就在亲戚和熟人中找他， 45 没有找到，就转回耶路撒冷找他。 46 过了三天，才发现他在圣殿里，坐在教师中间，一面听，一面问。 47 所有听见他的人，都希奇他的聪明和应对。 48 他父母见了，非常惊奇，他母亲说：“孩子，为甚么这样对待我们呢？你看，你父亲和我都很担心地在找你呢！” 49 他说：“为甚么找我呢？你们不知道我必须在我父的家里吗？（“在我父的家里吗？”或译：“以我父的事为念吗？”）” 50 但他们不明白他所说的话。 51 他就同他们下去，回到拿撒勒，并且顺从他们。他母亲把这一切事，都存在心里。

2 Aconteció en aquellos días, que se promulgó un edicto de parte de Augusto César, que todo el mundo fuese empadronado. 2 Este primer censo se hizo siendo Cirenio gobernador de Siria. 3 E iban todos para ser empadronados, cada uno a su ciudad. 4 Y José subió de Galilea, de la ciudad de Nazaret, a Judea, a la ciudad de David, que se llama Belén, por cuanto era de la casa y familia de David; 5 para ser empadronado con María su mujer, desposada con él, la cual estaba encinta. 6 Y aconteció que estando ellos allí, se cumplieron los días de su alumbramiento. 7 Y dio a luz a su hijo primogénito, y lo envolvió en pañales, y lo acostó en un pesebre, porque no había lugar para ellos en el mesón.
Los ángeles y los pastores
8 Había pastores en la misma región, que velaban y guardaban las vigilias de la noche sobre su rebaño. 9 Y he aquí, se les presentó un ángel del Señor, y la gloria del Señor los rodeó de resplandor; y tuvieron gran temor. 10 Pero el ángel les dijo: No temáis; porque he aquí os doy nuevas de gran gozo, que será para todo el pueblo: 11 que os ha nacido hoy, en la ciudad de David, un Salvador, que es CRISTO el Señor. 12 Esto os servirá de señal: Hallaréis al niño envuelto en pañales, acostado en un pesebre. 13 Y repentinamente apareció con el ángel una multitud de las huestes celestiales, que alababan a Dios, y decían:
14 ¡Gloria a Dios en las alturas,
Y en la tierra paz, buena voluntad para con los hombres!
15 Sucedió que cuando los ángeles se fueron de ellos al cielo, los pastores se dijeron unos a otros: Pasemos, pues, hasta Belén, y veamos esto que ha sucedido, y que el Señor nos ha manifestado. 16 Vinieron, pues, apresuradamente, y hallaron a María y a José, y al niño acostado en el pesebre. 17 Y al verlo, dieron a conocer lo que se les había dicho acerca del niño. 18 Y todos los que oyeron, se maravillaron de lo que los pastores les decían. 19 Pero María guardaba todas estas cosas, meditándolas en su corazón. 20 Y volvieron los pastores glorificando y alabando a Dios por todas las cosas que habían oído y visto, como se les había dicho.
Presentación de Jesús en el templo
21 Cumplidos los ocho días para circuncidar al niño,(A) le pusieron por nombre JESÚS, el cual le había sido puesto por el ángel(B) antes que fuese concebido.
22 Y cuando se cumplieron los días de la purificación de ellos, conforme a la ley de Moisés, le trajeron a Jerusalén para presentarle al Señor 23 (como está escrito en la ley del Señor: Todo varón que abriere la matriz será llamado santo al Señor(C)), 24 y para ofrecer conforme a lo que se dice en la ley del Señor: Un par de tórtolas, o dos palominos.(D) 25 Y he aquí había en Jerusalén un hombre llamado Simeón, y este hombre, justo y piadoso, esperaba la consolación de Israel; y el Espíritu Santo estaba sobre él. 26 Y le había sido revelado por el Espíritu Santo, que no vería la muerte antes que viese al Ungido del Señor. 27 Y movido por el Espíritu, vino al templo. Y cuando los padres del niño Jesús lo trajeron al templo, para hacer por él conforme al rito de la ley, 28 él le tomó en sus brazos, y bendijo a Dios, diciendo:
29 Ahora, Señor, despides a tu siervo en paz,
Conforme a tu palabra;
30 Porque han visto mis ojos tu salvación,
31 La cual has preparado en presencia de todos los pueblos;
32 Luz para revelación a los gentiles,(E)
Y gloria de tu pueblo Israel.
33 Y José y su madre estaban maravillados de todo lo que se decía de él. 34 Y los bendijo Simeón, y dijo a su madre María: He aquí, este está puesto para caída y para levantamiento de muchos en Israel, y para señal que será contradicha 35 (y una espada traspasará tu misma alma), para que sean revelados los pensamientos de muchos corazones.
36 Estaba también allí Ana, profetisa, hija de Fanuel, de la tribu de Aser, de edad muy avanzada, pues había vivido con su marido siete años desde su virginidad, 37 y era viuda hacía ochenta y cuatro años; y no se apartaba del templo, sirviendo de noche y de día con ayunos y oraciones. 38 Esta, presentándose en la misma hora, daba gracias a Dios, y hablaba del niño a todos los que esperaban la redención en Jerusalén.
El regreso a Nazaret
39 Después de haber cumplido con todo lo prescrito en la ley del Señor, volvieron a Galilea, a su ciudad de Nazaret.(F) 40 Y el niño crecía y se fortalecía, y se llenaba de sabiduría; y la gracia de Dios era sobre él.
El niño Jesús en el templo
41 Iban sus padres todos los años a Jerusalén en la fiesta de la pascua;(G) 42 y cuando tuvo doce años, subieron a Jerusalén conforme a la costumbre de la fiesta. 43 Al regresar ellos, acabada la fiesta, se quedó el niño Jesús en Jerusalén, sin que lo supiesen José y su madre. 44 Y pensando que estaba entre la compañía, anduvieron camino de un día; y le buscaban entre los parientes y los conocidos; 45 pero como no le hallaron, volvieron a Jerusalén buscándole. 46 Y aconteció que tres días después le hallaron en el templo, sentado en medio de los doctores de la ley, oyéndoles y preguntándoles. 47 Y todos los que le oían, se maravillaban de su inteligencia y de sus respuestas. 48 Cuando le vieron, se sorprendieron; y le dijo su madre: Hijo, ¿por qué nos has hecho así? He aquí, tu padre y yo te hemos buscado con angustia. 49 Entonces él les dijo: ¿Por qué me buscabais? ¿No sabíais que en los negocios de mi Padre me es necesario estar? 50 Mas ellos no entendieron las palabras que les habló. 51 Y descendió con ellos, y volvió a Nazaret, y estaba sujeto a ellos. Y su madre guardaba todas estas cosas en su corazón.
52 Y Jesús crecía en sabiduría y en estatura, y en gracia para con Dios y los hombres.(H)

Nascita di Gesù e visita dei pastori
2 In quei giorni un decreto di Cesare Augusto ordinò che si facesse il censimento di tutta la terra. 2 Questo primo censimento fu fatto quando era governatore della Siria Quirinio. 3 Andavano tutti a farsi registrare, ciascuno nella sua città. 4 Anche Giuseppe, che era della casa e della famiglia di Davide, dalla città di Nazaret e dalla Galilea salì in Giudea alla città di Davide, chiamata Betlemme, 5 per farsi registrare insieme con Maria sua sposa, che era incinta. 6 Ora, mentre si trovavano in quel luogo, si compirono per lei i giorni del parto. 7 Diede alla luce il suo figlio primogenito, lo avvolse in fasce e lo depose in una mangiatoia, perché non c'era posto per loro nell'albergo.
8 C'erano in quella regione alcuni pastori che vegliavano di notte facendo la guardia al loro gregge. 9 Un angelo del Signore si presentò davanti a loro e la gloria del Signore li avvolse di luce. Essi furono presi da grande spavento, 10 ma l'angelo disse loro: «Non temete, ecco vi annunzio una grande gioia, che sarà di tutto il popolo: 11 oggi vi è nato nella città di Davide un salvatore, che è il Cristo Signore. 12 Questo per voi il segno: troverete un bambino avvolto in fasce, che giace in una mangiatoia». 13 E subito apparve con l'angelo una moltitudine dell'esercito celeste che lodava Dio e diceva:
14 «Gloria a Dio nel più alto dei cieli
e pace in terra agli uomini che egli ama».
15 Appena gli angeli si furono allontanati per tornare al cielo, i pastori dicevano fra loro: «Andiamo fino a Betlemme, vediamo questo avvenimento che il Signore ci ha fatto conoscere». 16 Andarono dunque senz'indugio e trovarono Maria e Giuseppe e il bambino, che giaceva nella mangiatoia. 17 E dopo averlo visto, riferirono ciò che del bambino era stato detto loro. 18 Tutti quelli che udirono, si stupirono delle cose che i pastori dicevano. 19 Maria, da parte sua, serbava tutte queste cose meditandole nel suo cuore.
20 I pastori poi se ne tornarono, glorificando e lodando Dio per tutto quello che avevano udito e visto, com'era stato detto loro.
Circoncisione di Gesù
21 Quando furon passati gli otto giorni prescritti per la circoncisione, gli fu messo nome Gesù, come era stato chiamato dall'angelo prima di essere concepito nel grembo della madre.
Presentazione di Gesù al tempio
22 Quando venne il tempo della loro purificazione secondo la Legge di Mosè, portarono il bambino a Gerusalemme per offrirlo al Signore, 23 come è scritto nella Legge del Signore: ogni maschio primogenito sarà sacro al Signore; 24 e per offrire in sacrificio una coppia di tortore o di giovani colombi, come prescrive la Legge del Signore.
25 Ora a Gerusalemme c'era un uomo di nome Simeone, uomo giusto e timorato di Dio, che aspettava il conforto d'Israele; 26 lo Spirito Santo che era sopra di lui, gli aveva preannunziato che non avrebbe visto la morte senza prima aver veduto il Messia del Signore. 27 Mosso dunque dallo Spirito, si recò al tempio; e mentre i genitori vi portavano il bambino Gesù per adempiere la Legge, 28 lo prese tra le braccia e benedisse Dio:
Il Nunc dimittis
29 «Ora lascia, o Signore, che il tuo servo
vada in pace secondo la tua parola;
30 perché i miei occhi han visto la tua salvezza,
31 preparata da te davanti a tutti i popoli,
32 luce per illuminare le genti
e gloria del tuo popolo Israele».
Profezia di Simeone
33 Il padre e la madre di Gesù si stupivano delle cose che si dicevano di lui. 34 Simeone li benedisse e parlò a Maria, sua madre: «Egli è qui per la rovina e la risurrezione di molti in Israele, segno di contraddizione 35 perché siano svelati i pensieri di molti cuori. E anche a te una spada trafiggerà l'anima».
Profezia di Anna
36 C'era anche una profetessa, Anna, figlia di Fanuèle, della tribù di Aser. Era molto avanzata in età, aveva vissuto col marito sette anni dal tempo in cui era ragazza, 37 era poi rimasta vedova e ora aveva ottantaquattro anni. Non si allontanava mai dal tempio, servendo Dio notte e giorno con digiuni e preghiere. 38 Sopraggiunta in quel momento, si mise anche lei a lodare Dio e parlava del bambino a quanti aspettavano la redenzione di Gerusalemme.
Vita nascosta di Gesù a Nazaret
39 Quando ebbero tutto compiuto secondo la legge del Signore, fecero ritorno in Galilea, alla loro città di Nazaret. 40 Il bambino cresceva e si fortificava, pieno di sapienza, e la grazia di Dio era sopra di lui.
Gesù tra i dottori
41 I suoi genitori si recavano tutti gli anni a Gerusalemme per la festa di Pasqua. 42 Quando egli ebbe dodici anni, vi salirono di nuovo secondo l'usanza; 43 ma trascorsi i giorni della festa, mentre riprendevano la via del ritorno, il fanciullo Gesù rimase a Gerusalemme, senza che i genitori se ne accorgessero. 44 Credendolo nella carovana, fecero una giornata di viaggio, e poi si misero a cercarlo tra i parenti e i conoscenti; 45 non avendolo trovato, tornarono in cerca di lui a Gerusalemme. 46 Dopo tre giorni lo trovarono nel tempio, seduto in mezzo ai dottori, mentre li ascoltava e li interrogava. 47 E tutti quelli che l'udivano erano pieni di stupore per la sua intelligenza e le sue risposte. 48 Al vederlo restarono stupiti e sua madre gli disse: «Figlio, perché ci hai fatto così? Ecco, tuo padre e io, angosciati, ti cercavamo». 49 Ed egli rispose: «Perché mi cercavate? Non sapevate che io devo occuparmi delle cose del Padre mio?». 50 Ma essi non compresero le sue parole.
Ancora la vita nascosta a Nazaret
51 Partì dunque con loro e tornò a Nazaret e stava loro sottomesso. Sua madre serbava tutte queste cose nel suo cuore. 52 E Gesù cresceva in sapienza, età e grazia davanti a Dio e agli uomini.

2 Now in those days, a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be enrolled. 2 This was the first enrollment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria. 3 All went to enroll themselves, everyone to his own city. 4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to David’s city, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, 5 to enroll himself with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him as wife, being pregnant.
6 While they were there, the day had come for her to give birth. 7 She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn.
8 There were shepherds in the same country staying in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock. 9 Behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people. 11 For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ[a] the Lord. 12 This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough.” 13 Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest,
on earth peace, good will toward men.”
15 When the angels went away from them into the sky, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem, now, and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 They came with haste and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby was lying in the feeding trough. 17 When they saw it, they publicized widely the saying which was spoken to them about this child. 18 All who heard it wondered at the things which were spoken to them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, just as it was told them.
21 When eight days were fulfilled for the circumcision of the child, his name was called Jesus, which was given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
22 When the days of their purification according to the law of Moses were fulfilled, they brought him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 23 (as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”),(A) 24 and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, “A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.”(B)
25 Behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him. 26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.[b] 27 He came in the Spirit into the temple. When the parents brought in the child, Jesus, that they might do concerning him according to the custom of the law, 28 then he received him into his arms and blessed God, and said,
29 “Now you are releasing your servant, Master,
according to your word, in peace;
30 for my eyes have seen your salvation,
31 which you have prepared before the face of all peoples;
32 a light for revelation to the nations,
and the glory of your people Israel.”
33 Joseph and his mother were marveling at the things which were spoken concerning him. 34 Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary, his mother, “Behold, this child is appointed for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which is spoken against. 35 Yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
36 There was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher (she was of a great age, having lived with a husband seven years from her virginity, 37 and she had been a widow for about eighty-four years), who didn’t depart from the temple, worshiping with fastings and petitions night and day. 38 Coming up at that very hour, she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of him to all those who were looking for redemption in Jerusalem.
39 When they had accomplished all things that were according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth. 40 The child was growing, and was becoming strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.
41 His parents went every year to Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover. 42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast; 43 and when they had fulfilled the days, as they were returning, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. Joseph and his mother didn’t know it, 44 but supposing him to be in the company, they went a day’s journey; and they looked for him among their relatives and acquaintances. 45 When they didn’t find him, they returned to Jerusalem, looking for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the middle of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. 47 All who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 When they saw him, they were astonished; and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us this way? Behold, your father and I were anxiously looking for you.”
49 He said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?” 50 They didn’t understand the saying which he spoke to them. 51 And he went down with them and came to Nazareth. He was subject to them, and his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. 52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
