47 所有聽他講說的人，都對他的悟性和對答十分驚訝。 48 他的父母看見他，感到吃驚，他的母親就對他說：「孩子啊，為什麼對我們這樣做呢？你看，你父親和我一直在焦急地找你呢！」

47 Everyone who heard him was amazed(A) at his understanding and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother(B) said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father(C) and I have been anxiously searching for you.”
49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”[a](D)
