19 耶稣进了耶利哥，正经过的时候， 2 有一个人名叫撒该，是税吏长，又很富有。 3 他想看看耶稣是怎么样的，因为人多，他又身材矮小，就看不见。 4 于是他跑到前头，爬上一棵桑树，要看看耶稣，因为耶稣就要从那里经过。 5 耶稣到了那里，往上一看，对他说：“撒该，快下来，今天我要住在你家里。” 6 他就赶快下来，欢欢喜喜地接待耶稣。 7 众人看见就纷纷议论说：“他竟到罪人家里去住宿！” 8 撒该站着对主说：“主啊，请看，我要把家财的一半分给穷人，我若敲诈了谁，就还他四倍。” 9 耶稣说：“今天救恩到了这家，他也是亚伯拉罕的子孙。 10 因为人子来，是要寻找拯救失丧的人。”
十个仆人的比喻（参(A)
11 众人听这些话的时候，因为耶稣已经接近耶路撒冷，又因他们以为 神的国快要出现，他就讲了一个比喻， 12 说：“有一个贵族往远方去要接受王位，然后回来。 13 他叫了自己的十个仆人来，给他们一千银币，说：‘你们拿去作生意，等到我回来。’ 14 他本国的人却恨他，就派使者跟着去说：‘我们不愿意这个人作王统治我们。’ 15 他得了王位回来，就吩咐把那些领了钱的仆人召来，要知道他们作生意赚了多少。 16 第一个走过来说：‘主啊，你的一百银币，已经赚了一千。’ 17 主人说：‘好，良善的仆人，你既然在最小的事上忠心，可以有权管理十座城。’ 18 第二个来说：‘主啊，你的一百银币，已经赚了五百。’ 19 主人说：‘你可以管理五座城。’ 20 另一个来说：‘主啊，你看，你的一百银币，我一直保存在手巾里， 21 因为我怕你，你一向是严厉的人，没有存的要提取，没有种的要收割。’ 22 主人说：‘可恶的仆人！我要凭你的口定你的罪。你知道我是严厉的人，没有存的要提取，没有种的要收割吗？ 23 那你为甚么不把我的钱存入银行，等我回来的时候，把它连本带利取回来呢？’ 24 他就对侍卫说：‘夺过他的一百银币，给那有一千的。’ 25 他们说：‘主啊，他已经有一千银币了。’ 26 主人说：‘我告诉你们，凡是有的，还要给他；没有的，就算他有甚么也要拿去。 27 至于我那些仇敌，就是不愿意我作王统治他们的，把他们拉到这里来，在我面前杀掉！’”

28 耶稣讲完这些话，就往前走，上耶路撒冷去。 29 将到伯法其和伯大尼，就在橄榄山那里，他差派两个门徒， 30 说：“你们往对面的村子里去，走进去的时候，就会看见一头从来没有人骑过的小驴，拴在那里，把牠解开牵来。 31 如果有人问为甚么解开牠，你们要这样说：‘主需要牠。’” 32 被差的人去了，发现和主所说的一样。 33 他们解开小驴的时候，主人问他们：“你们为甚么解开牠？” 34 他们说：“主需要牠。” 35 他们把小驴牵到耶稣那里，把自己的衣服搭在上面，扶着耶稣上去。 36 耶稣前行的时候，众人把自己的衣服铺在路上。
37 他走近耶路撒冷，快要下橄榄山的时候，全体门徒因为所看见的一切神迹，就欢乐起来，大声赞美 神， 38 说：
“奉主名来的王，
是应当称颂的！
在天上有和平，
在至高之处有荣耀！”
39 群众中有几个法利赛人对他说：“先生，责备你的门徒吧！” 40 耶稣说：“我告诉你们，他们若不出声，石头都要呼叫了。”
为耶路撒冷哀哭
41 耶稣走近耶路撒冷的时候，看见了城，就为城哀哭， 42 说：“巴不得你在这日子，知道关于你平安的事，但现在这事在你眼前是隐藏的。 43 日子将到，你的仇敌必筑垒攻击你，周围环绕你，四面困住你， 44 要摧毁你和你里面的儿女，没有一块石头留在另一块石头上面，因为你不知道那眷顾你的时期。”

45 耶稣进了圣殿，就赶走作买卖的人， 46 对他们说：“经上记着：
‘我的殿是祷告的殿’，
你们竟把它弄成贼窝了。”
47 他天天在圣殿里教导人，祭司长、经学家和民间的首领，都想杀害他； 48 但他们不知道要怎样下手，因为众人都围着他，听他的教训。

Zacchaeus the Tax Collector
19 Jesus entered Jericho(A) and was passing through. 2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. 3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. 4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig(B) tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.(C)
5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” 6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
7 All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”(D)
8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord,(E) “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything,(F) I will pay back four times the amount.”(G)
9 Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.(H) 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”(I)
The Parable of the Ten Minas(J)
11 While they were listening to this, he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God(K) was going to appear at once.(L) 12 He said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. 13 So he called ten of his servants(M) and gave them ten minas.[a] ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’
14 “But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’
15 “He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.
16 “The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’
17 “‘Well done, my good servant!’(N) his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’(O)
18 “The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more.’
19 “His master answered, ‘You take charge of five cities.’
20 “Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. 21 I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.’(P)
22 “His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words,(Q) you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow?(R) 23 Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?’
24 “Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’
25 “‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’
26 “He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will be taken away.(S) 27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.’”
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King(T)(U)
28 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.(V) 29 As he approached Bethphage and Bethany(W) at the hill called the Mount of Olives,(X) he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, 30 “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
32 Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them.(Y) 33 As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
34 They replied, “The Lord needs it.”
35 They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. 36 As he went along, people spread their cloaks(Z) on the road.
37 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives,(AA) the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”(AC)
39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”(AD)
40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”(AE)
41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it(AF) 42 and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.(AG) 44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls.(AH) They will not leave one stone on another,(AI) because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming(AJ) to you.”
Jesus at the Temple(AK)
45 When Jesus entered the temple courts, he began to drive out those who were selling. 46 “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be a house of prayer’[c];(AL) but you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’[d]”(AM)
47 Every day he was teaching at the temple.(AN) But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him.(AO) 48 Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.

Apan mubo si Zaqueo ug tungod sa kadaghan sa mga tawo dili siya makakita kang Jesus. 4 Busa midagan siya sa unahan ug misaka sa kahoy nga sikomoro aron makita niya si Jesus, kay didto gayod siya dapit moagi. 5 Pag-abot ni Jesus didto mihangad siya ug miingon, “Zaqueo, dali! Kanaog dayon, kay karong adlawa kinahanglan nga adto ako modayon sa imong balay.” 6 Busa nagdali-dali ug kanaog si Zaqueo, ug sa dakong kalipay giabiabi niya si Jesus. 7 Sa dihang nakita sa mga tawo nga midayon si Jesus sa balay ni Zaqueo, nagbagulbol sila nga nagaingon, “Nganong diha man gayod siya modayon sa balay nianang tawo nga makasasala?” 8 Didto sa iyang balay mitindog si Zaqueo ug miingon, “Ginoo, ihatag ko ngadto sa mga kabos ang katunga sa akong kabtangan. Ug kon may gilimbongan ako, ibalik ko kaniya sa upat ka pilo.” 9 Miingon si Jesus kaniya, “Karon naluwas na kining panimalay, tungod kay kaliwat usab siya ni Abraham. 10 Kay ako nga Anak sa Tawo mianhi dinhi sa kalibotan aron sa pagpangita ug sa pagluwas sa tanan nga nahisalaag.”[a]

11 Samtang naminaw pa ang mga tawo, gisultihan sila ni Jesus ug sambingay tungod kay duol na sila sa Jerusalem ug nagahuna-huna ang mga tawo nga magsugod na gayod ang paghari sa Dios. 12 Miingon si Jesus kanila, “May usa ka dungganon nga tawo nga milakaw sa layong dapit aron sa pagdawat sa katungdanan isip hari sa iyang dapit, ug unya mopauli ra dayon siya. 13 Apan sa wala pa siya makagikan gipatawag niya ang iyang napulo ka mga sulugoon ug gipanghatagan ang matag usa kanila sa sama nga kantidad, ug miingon siya kanila, ‘Gamita ninyo sa negosyo ang akong gihatag kaninyo samtang wala ako.’
14 “Ang iyang katagilungsod wala makagusto kaniya. Busa sa dihang nakagikan na siya, nagpadala sila ug mga representante didto sa iyang giadtoan sa pagsulti nga dili nila gusto nga maghari siya kanila. 15 Apan gihimo gihapon siya nga hari. Pagbalik niya sa iyang dapit, gipatawag niya ang mga sulugoon nga iyang gipanghatagan ug kuwarta nga inegosyo, aron mahibaloan niya kon pila ang ilang ginansya. 16 Ang una nga miabot miingon kaniya, ‘Sir, ang imong gihatag nga kuwarta kanako nakaginansya ug napulo ka pilo.’ 17 Miingon ang hari, ‘Maayo gayod! Maayo ka nga sulugoon. Tungod kay kasaligan ka sa gagmay nga butang, padumalahon ko ikaw sa napulo ka siyudad.’ 18 Ang ikaduha nga sulugoon miabot usab ug miingon, ‘Sir, ang imong gihatag nga kuwarta kanako nakaginansya ug lima ka pilo.’ 19 Mitubag ang hari kaniya, ‘Padumalahon ko ikaw ug lima ka siyudad.’ 20 Ug miabot ang usa pa gayod ug miingon, ‘Sir, ania ang imong kuwarta. Giputos ko gayod kini ug gitagoan, 21 kay nahadlok ako kanimo tungod kay labihan ka kaestrikto. Nagapanguha ka sa ginansya nga gihagoan sa uban, ug nagapanguha ka usab sa ani bisan dili ikaw ang nagtanom.’ 22 Miingon ang hari kaniya, ‘Wala kay pulos nga sulugoon! Ang imong gisulti mao usab ang akong gamiton sa pagsentensya kanimo. Nahibaloan mo nga estrikto ako ug nagapanguha sa ginansya nga gihagoan sa uban, ug nagapanguha usab ako sa ani bisan dili ako ang nagtanom. 23 Apan nganong wala mo man ibutang ang akong kuwarta sa bangko aron nga sa akong pagbalik makuha ko ang akong kuwarta nga may tubo pa?’ 24 Ug miingon ang hari sa mga tawo nga nanindog didto, ‘Kuhaa ninyo kaniya ang kuwarta ug ihatag ngadto sa tawo nga nakaginansya ug napulo ka pilo.’ 25 Apan mitubag sila, ‘Sir, may napulo na siya ka pilo.’ 26 Mitubag ang hari, ‘Sultihan ko kamo, ang kasaligan hatagan pa. Apan ang dili kasaligan, bisan ang gamay nga gitugyan kaniya kuhaon pa. 27 Kon mahitungod niadtong mga tawo nga nakigbatok kanako ug dili gusto nga maghari ako kanila, dad-a ninyo sila dinhi kanako ug pamatya!’ ”
Ang Madaogon nga Pagsulod ni Jesus sa Jerusalem

28 Pagkahuman niya ug sulti niadto, mipadayon sila ni Jesus sa pagpanglakaw padulong sa Jerusalem. 29 Sa nagkaduol na sila sa mga baryo sa Betfage ug Betania, nga anaa sa bukid nga gitawag ug Bukid sa mga Olibo, gipauna ni Jesus ang duha sa iyang mga tinun-an. 30 Miingon siya kanila, “Pag-una kamo didto sa sunod nga baryo. Pagsulod ninyo, may makita kamo nga nating asno nga gihigot. Wala pa gayod kini kasakyi. Hubari ninyo ug dad-a dinhi. 31 Kon may mangutana kaninyo kon nganong ginahubaran ninyo ang asno, tubaga ninyo nga kinahanglanon kini sa Ginoo.” 32 Busa milakaw silang duha, ug ang gisulti ni Jesus kanila natuman gayod. 33 Sa dihang gihubaran nila ang nating asno gipangutana sila sa tag-iya, “Nganong gihubaran ninyo kana?” 34 Mitubag sila, “Gikinahanglan kini sa Ginoo.” 35 Gidala dayon nila kini ngadto kang Jesus. Pag-abot didto, gihapinan nila ang asno sa ilang mga kupo ug gipasakay si Jesus. 36 Samtang nagsakay siya padulong sa Jerusalem gibuklad sa mga tawo ang ilang mga kupo didto sa dalan nga iyang agian aron sa pagpasidungog kaniya. 37 Ug sa paglugsong na niya gikan sa Bukid sa mga Olibo, nalipay ang iyang mga tinun-an ug misinggit sa pagdayeg sa Dios tungod sa ilang nakita nga mga milagro. 38 Miingon sila, “Gipanalanginan sa Ginoo ang Hari nga iyang gipadala![b] Karon may kalinaw na gikan sa Dios. Dayegon ta ang Dios!”
39 Didto sa panon, may mga Pariseo nga miingon, “Magtutudlo, pahiloma ang imong mga tinun-an.” 40 Miingon si Jesus kanila, “Sa pagkatinuod, kon mohilom sila, ang mga bato mao ang mosinggit sa mga pagdayeg.”
Mihilak si Jesus Tungod sa mga Taga-Jerusalem
41 Sa nagkaduol na si Jesus sa Jerusalem, ug sa dihang nakita niya kini, mihilak siya. 42 Miingon siya, “Unta mahibaloan ninyo karong adlawa kon unsa ang makahatag kaninyo ug kalinaw! Apan nataptapan ang inyong pangisip. 43 Moabot ang adlaw nga alihan sa inyong mga kaaway ang palibot sa inyong siyudad aron dili na gayod kamo makaikyas, ug bisan asa kamo ila kamong atakihon. 44 Pamatyon nila kamo. Gub-on ug patagon ang inyong siyudad nga wala na gayoy mahibilin bisan ang mga bato nga nagpatongpatong. Kining tanan mahitabo kaninyo tungod kay wala kamo magtagad sa panahon nga luwason na unta kamo sa Dios.”

45 Pag-abot nila sa Jerusalem, miadto dayon si Jesus sa templo ug giabog niya ang mga namaligya didto. 46 Miingon siya kanila, “Miingon ang Dios sumala sa Kasulatan, ‘Ang akong balay dapit nga alampoanan.’[c] Apan gihimo ninyo kini nga tagoanan sa mga tulisan.[d]”
47 Sukad niadto, nagtudlo na siya sa templo adlaw-adlaw. Ang kadagkoan sa mga pari, ang mga magtutudlo sa Kasugoan, ug ang mga opisyal sa lungsod nagtinguha sa pagpatay kaniya, 48 apan wala sila makahigayon sa paghimo niini tungod kay nawili ang mga tawo sa pagpaminaw sa iyang mga pagpanudlo.

2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.
17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.
29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.
31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.
32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?
34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him.
35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.
36 And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.
37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;
38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.
45 And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;
46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.
47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
