耶稣与撒该
19 耶稣进了耶利哥，从城里经过， 2 看哪，有一个名叫撒该的人，是个税吏长，很富有。 3 他很想看看耶稣是什么样的人，可是因为他身材矮小，从人群中无法看到耶稣。 4 于是他跑到前头，爬上一棵桑树，要看耶稣，因为耶稣就要从那里经过。 5 耶稣来到那地方时，抬头一看，[a]对他说：“撒该，快下来！因为我今天必须住在你家里。”
6 撒该就急忙下来，快快乐乐地接待耶稣。 7 大家看见，就抱怨说：“他竟然到一个罪人家里去借宿。”
8 撒该站着对主说：“主啊，请看，我要把我财产的一半分给穷人。我如果勒索过谁的东西，就偿还四倍。”
9 耶稣对他说：“今天救恩临到了这一家，因为他也是亚伯拉罕的子孙。 10 要知道，人子来，是为了寻找并拯救迷失的人。”
一千银币的比喻
11 大家正听这些话的时候，耶稣再讲了一个比喻，因为他已经离耶路撒冷不远，而且他们以为神的国快要显现了。
12 他说：“有一个出身高贵的人，要往遥远的地方去接受王位[b]，然后再回来。 13 他叫来自己的十个奴仆，给他们一千银币[c]，对他们说：‘你们去做生意，直到我回来。’
14 “他本国的人却憎恨他，就差派特使在他背后去，说：‘我们不要这个人做王统治我们。’
15 “当他接受了王位[d]回来的时候，就吩咐把这些曾领了银子的奴仆叫来，要知道他们做生意赚了多少。 16 第一个前来说：‘主啊，你的那一百银币[e]，已经赚了一千[f]。’
17 “主人对他说：‘做得好，好奴仆！因为你在最小的事上忠心，你就有权掌管十个城。’
18 “第二个上前来说：‘主啊，你的那一百银币[g]，已经赚了五百[h]。’
19 “主人也对这个人说：‘你掌管五个城吧！’
20 “另一个上前来说：‘主啊，请看，你的那一百银币，我一直保存在手巾里。 21 我怕你，因为你是个严厉的人，不是你存放的，你提取；不是你播种的，你收获。’
22 “主人对他说：‘你这恶奴！我要凭你的口定你的罪。你既然知道我是个严厉的人，不是我存放的，我提取；不是我播种的，我收获， 23 那么你为什么没有把我的银子交给钱庄呢？这样我回来的时候，可以连本带利收回来。’ 24 于是他对站在旁边的人说：‘把那一百银币从他那里拿走，给那个有一千的。’
25 “他们说：‘主啊，他已经有一千银币了！’
26 “我告诉你们：凡是有的，还要赐给他；那没有的，连他有的也将从他那里被拿走。 27 不过我的这些敌人，就是不要我做王统治他们的人，把他们带到这里来，在我面前杀掉！”
光荣进圣城
28 说完这些话，耶稣就继续往前走，上耶路撒冷去。 29 快到伯法其和伯大尼，那叫做“橄榄园”的山，耶稣派了两个门徒， 30 说：“你们到对面的村子里去。你们一进村，就会发现一头驴驹拴在那里，是从来没有人骑过的。你们把它解开牵过来。 31 如果有人问你们为什么解开它，你们就这样说‘主需要它[i]。’”
32 被差派的人去了，发现事情正如耶稣所告诉他们的。 33 在他们解开驴驹的时候，驴的主人们问他们：“你们为什么解开这驴驹呢？”
34 他们就说：“主需要它。” 35 他们牵着驴驹到耶稣那里，把自己的外衣搭在驴驹上，扶着耶稣骑上去。 36 耶稣前行的时候，人们把自己的外衣铺在路上。 37 耶稣已经快到橄榄山的下坡附近的时候，全体门徒为了他们所看见的一切神迹，开始欢乐起来，大声赞美神， 38 说：
“奉主名而来的那位君王，
是蒙祝福的！[j]
在天上有和平，
在至高之处有荣耀！”
39 人群中有一些法利赛人对耶稣说：“老师，责备你的门徒吧！”
40 耶稣回答说：“我告诉你们：这些人如果不做声，石头都会呼喊起来！”
为耶路撒冷哭泣
41 耶稣快到耶路撒冷[k]的时候，看见那城，就为她哭泣， 42 说：“巴不得你在这日子里明白关乎你和平的事，但如今这事在你眼前被隐藏了。 43 因为日子将临到你，你的敌人要筑起壁垒包围你，四面困住你。 44 而且，他们要将你和你里面的儿女猛摔在地，不容你里面有一块石头留在另一块石头上，因为你没有认出神[l]临到[m]你的时候。”
洁净圣殿
45 耶稣进了圣殿，开始把那些[n]做买卖的人[o]赶出去， 46 对他们说：“经上记着：‘我的殿将成为祷告的殿’[p]，而你们却使它成为贼窝了！[q]”
47 耶稣天天在圣殿里教导人。祭司长们、经文士们和民间的首领们想要杀害他， 48 可是他们不知道怎样下手，因为民众都倾心听他。

19 耶稣进了耶利哥，正经过的时候， 2 有一个人名叫撒该，做税吏长，是个财主， 3 他要看看耶稣是怎样的人。只因人多，他的身量又矮，所以不得看见。 4 就跑到前头，爬上桑树，要看耶稣，因为耶稣必从那里经过。 5 耶稣到了那里，抬头一看，对他说：“撒该，快下来！今天我必住在你家里。” 6 他就急忙下来，欢欢喜喜地接待耶稣。 7 众人看见，都私下议论说：“他竟到罪人家里去住宿！” 8 撒该站着对主说：“主啊，我把所有的一半给穷人，我若讹诈了谁，就还他四倍。” 9 耶稣说：“今天救恩到了这家，因为他也是亚伯拉罕的子孙。 10 人子来，为要寻找、拯救失丧的人。”
交银于十仆的比喻

41 耶稣快到耶路撒冷，看见城，就为它哀哭， 42 说：“巴不得你在这日子知道关系你平安的事，无奈这事现在是隐藏的，叫你的眼看不出来。 43 因为日子将到，你的仇敌必筑起土垒，周围环绕你，四面困住你， 44 并要扫灭你和你里头的儿女，连一块石头也不留在石头上，因你不知道眷顾你的时候。”
洁净圣殿
45 耶稣进了殿，赶出里头做买卖的人， 46 对他们说：“经上说：‘我的殿必做祷告的殿’，你们倒使它成为贼窝了！”
47 耶稣天天在殿里教训人。祭司长和文士与百姓的尊长都想要杀他， 48 但寻不出法子来，因为百姓都侧耳听他。

6 撒該連忙爬下來，興高采烈地帶耶穌回家。 7 百姓見狀，都埋怨說：「祂怎麼到一個罪人家裡作客？」

十個奴僕的比喻

12 耶穌說：「有一位貴族要到遠方去受封為王，然後返回。 13 臨行前，他召集了十個奴僕，發給每人一千個銀幣，吩咐他們，『你們在我出門期間要用這些錢做生意。』
14 「可是他的人民卻憎恨他，他們隨後派一個代表團去請願說，『我們不要這人作我們的王。』

騎驢進耶路撒冷
28 耶穌說完這個比喻，就走在眾人前面上耶路撒冷去。
29 快到橄欖山附近的伯法其和伯大尼時，耶穌派了兩個門徒，說： 30 「你們去前面的村莊，進村的時候，必看見一頭從來沒有人騎過的驢駒拴在那裡，你們把牠解開牽來。 31 若有人問你們為什麼把牠解開，就說，『主要用牠。』」
32 兩個門徒出去後，所遇見的情形正如耶穌所說的。 33 當他們解開驢駒時，主人果然問他們：「你們為什麼解開驢駒？」

Zacchaeus the Tax Collector
19 Jesus entered Jericho(A) and was passing through. 2 A man was there by the name of Zacchaeus; he was a chief tax collector and was wealthy. 3 He wanted to see who Jesus was, but because he was short he could not see over the crowd. 4 So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig(B) tree to see him, since Jesus was coming that way.(C)
5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” 6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.
7 All the people saw this and began to mutter, “He has gone to be the guest of a sinner.”(D)
8 But Zacchaeus stood up and said to the Lord,(E) “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything,(F) I will pay back four times the amount.”(G)
9 Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.(H) 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”(I)
The Parable of the Ten Minas(J)
11 While they were listening to this, he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God(K) was going to appear at once.(L) 12 He said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. 13 So he called ten of his servants(M) and gave them ten minas.[a] ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’
14 “But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’
15 “He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it.
16 “The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’
17 “‘Well done, my good servant!’(N) his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’(O)
18 “The second came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned five more.’
19 “His master answered, ‘You take charge of five cities.’
20 “Then another servant came and said, ‘Sir, here is your mina; I have kept it laid away in a piece of cloth. 21 I was afraid of you, because you are a hard man. You take out what you did not put in and reap what you did not sow.’(P)
22 “His master replied, ‘I will judge you by your own words,(Q) you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow?(R) 23 Why then didn’t you put my money on deposit, so that when I came back, I could have collected it with interest?’
24 “Then he said to those standing by, ‘Take his mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.’
25 “‘Sir,’ they said, ‘he already has ten!’
26 “He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what they have will be taken away.(S) 27 But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me.’”
Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King(T)(U)
28 After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.(V) 29 As he approached Bethphage and Bethany(W) at the hill called the Mount of Olives,(X) he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, 30 “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. 31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”
32 Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them.(Y) 33 As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”
34 They replied, “The Lord needs it.”
35 They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. 36 As he went along, people spread their cloaks(Z) on the road.
37 When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives,(AA) the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”(AC)
39 Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”(AD)
40 “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”(AE)
41 As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it(AF) 42 and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. 43 The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side.(AG) 44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls.(AH) They will not leave one stone on another,(AI) because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming(AJ) to you.”
Jesus at the Temple(AK)
45 When Jesus entered the temple courts, he began to drive out those who were selling. 46 “It is written,” he said to them, “‘My house will be a house of prayer’[c];(AL) but you have made it ‘a den of robbers.’[d]”(AM)
47 Every day he was teaching at the temple.(AN) But the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him.(AO) 48 Yet they could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.

12 Therefore he said, A worthy man went into a far country [Some nobleman went into a far country], to take to him a kingdom, and to turn again.
13 And when his ten servants were called, he gave to them ten bezants; and said to them, Chaffer ye [Merchandize ye], till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a messenger after him, and said, We will not, that he reign on us.[a]
15 And it was done, that he turned again, when he had taken the kingdom; and he commanded his servants to be called, to which he had given money, to know [to whom he gave money, that he should know], how much each had won by chaffering.
16 And the first came, and said [saying], Lord, thy bezant hath won ten bezants.
17 He said to him, Well be, thou good servant; for in little thing thou hast been true, thou shalt be having power on ten cities [thou shalt have power upon ten cities].
18 And the tother came, and said [And the tother came, saying], Lord, thy bezant hath made five bezants.
19 And to this he said, And be thou on five cities. [And he said to this, And be thou upon five cities.]
20 And the third came, and said, Lord, lo! thy bezant, that I had, put up in a sudarium.[b]
21 For I dreaded thee, for thou art an austere man; thou takest away that that thou settedest not, and thou reapest that that thou hast not sown.
22 He saith to him, Wicked servant, of thy mouth I deem thee. Knewest thou, that I am an austere man, taking away that thing that I setted not, and reaping that thing that I sowed not[c]?
23 and why hast thou not given my money to the board, and I coming should have asked it with usuries? [and why hast thou not given my money to the board, that and I coming should have received it soothly with usuries?]
24 And he said to men standing nigh, Take away from him the bezant, and give ye to him that hath ten bezants.[d]
25 And they said to him, Lord, he hath ten bezants.
26 And I say to you, to each man that hath, it shall be given, and he shall increase [and he shall abound]; but from him that hath not, also that thing that he hath, shall be taken of him [shall be taken from him].
27 Nevertheless bring ye hither those mine enemies, that would not that I reigned on them [that would not me to reign upon them], and slay ye before me.
28 And when these things were said, he went before, and went up to Jerusalem. [And these things said, he went before, ascending to Jerusalem.]
29 And it was done, when Jesus came nigh to Bethphage and Bethany [when he came nigh to Bethphage and Bethany], at the mount, that is called of Olives, he sent his two disciples,
30 and said [saying], Go ye into the castle, that is against you; into which as ye enter [into which ye entering], ye shall find a colt of an ass tied, on which never man sat; untie ye him, and bring ye to me.
31 And if any man ask you, why ye untie, thus ye shall say to him, For the Lord desireth his work.
32 And they that were sent, went forth, and found as he said to them, a colt standing.
33 And when they untied the colt, the lords of it said to them, What untie ye the colt? [Soothly them untying the colt, the lords of him said, Why untie ye the colt?]
34 And they said, For the Lord hath need to him.
35 And they led him to Jesus; and they casted their clothes on the colt, and set Jesus on him[e].
36 And when he went, they spreaded their clothes in the way.
37 And when [now] he came nigh to the coming down of the mount of Olives, all the people [all the companies of men] that came down began to joy, and to praise God with great voice on all the works of power [on all the virtues], that they had seen,
38 and said [saying], Blessed be the king, that cometh in the name of the Lord; peace in heaven, and glory in high things.
39 And some of the Pharisees of the people said to him [And some of the Pharisees of the companies said to him], Master, blame thy disciples.
40 And he said to them, I say to you, for if these [shall] be still, stones shall cry.
41 And when he approached, he saw the city, and wept on it, [And when he nighed, he seeing the city, wept upon it,]
42 and said, For if thou haddest known, thou shouldest weep also; for in this day the things be in peace to thee, but now they be hid from thine eyes. [saying, For if thou haddest known, and thou, and soothly in this thy day, the which is to peace to thee; but now they be hid from thine eyes.]
43 But days shall come in thee, and thine enemies shall environ thee with a pale, and they shall go about thee, and make thee strait on all sides.[f]
44 and [they shall] cast thee down to the earth, and thy sons that be in thee [and thy children that be in thee]; and they shall not leave in thee a stone upon a stone, for thou hast not known the time of thy visitation.
45 And he entered into the temple, and began to cast out men selling therein and buying,
46 and said [saying] to them, It is written, That mine house is an house of prayer, but ye have made it a den of thieves.
47 And he was teaching every day in the temple. And the princes of priests, and the scribes, and the princes of the people sought to destroy him [Forsooth the prince of priests, and the scribes, and the princes of the people sought to lose him];
48 and they found not, what they should do to him, for all the people was [all] occupied, and heard him.[g]
