19 耶稣进了耶利哥，正从城里经过。 2 有个人名叫撒该，是税吏长，家财丰厚。 3 他想看看耶稣，可是因为周围人多，他身材矮小，无法看见。 4 他便跑到前面，爬上一棵桑树观看，因为耶稣会从那里经过。
5 耶稣走到那里，抬头招呼他说：“撒该，快下来！今天我要住在你家。”
6 撒该连忙爬下来，兴高采烈地带耶稣回家。 7 百姓见状，都埋怨说：“祂怎么到一个罪人家里作客？”
8 撒该站起来对主说：“主啊，我要把我一半的财产分给穷人。我欺骗过谁，就还谁四倍。”
9 耶稣说：“今天救恩临到这家了，因为他也是亚伯拉罕的子孙。 10 人子来是要寻找和拯救迷失的人。”
十个奴仆的比喻
11 众人在听的时候，耶稣又为他们讲了一个比喻，因为祂快到耶路撒冷了，人们以为上帝的国马上就要降临了。
12 耶稣说：“有一位贵族要到远方去受封为王，然后返回。 13 临行前，他召集了十个奴仆，发给每人一千个银币，吩咐他们，‘你们在我出门期间要用这些钱做生意。’
14 “可是他的人民却憎恨他，他们随后派一个代表团去请愿说，‘我们不要这人做我们的王。’
15 “那贵族受封为王回来后，召齐十个奴仆，想知道他们做生意赚了多少。 16 第一个奴仆上前禀告说，‘主啊，我用你给我的一千个银币赚了一万个银币。’
17 “主人说，‘好，你真是个好奴仆！你既然在小事上忠心，就派你管理十座城。’
18 “第二个奴仆上前说，‘主啊，我用你给我的一千个银币赚了五千个银币。’
19 “主人说，‘我派你管理五座城。’
20 “另一个奴仆上前说，‘主啊，这是你先前给我的一千个银币，我一直把它包在手帕里。 21 因为你很严厉，没有存还要取，没有种还要收，所以我怕你。’
22 “主人听了，对那奴仆说，‘你这个恶奴仆！我要按你自己的话定你的罪。你既然知道我很严厉，没有存还要取，没有种还要收， 23 为什么不把我的银币存进钱庄，到我回来时可以连本带利收回来？’
24 “接着，他吩咐站在旁边的奴仆，‘收回他那一千个银币，赏给那个赚了一万银币的。’
25 “他们说，‘主啊，那个人已经有一万银币了。’
26 “主人答道，‘我告诉你们，凡有的，还要给他更多；凡没有的，连他仅有的也要夺走。 27 至于那些反对我做王的仇敌，把他们捉回来，在我面前处决。’”
骑驴进耶路撒冷
28 耶稣说完这个比喻，就走在众人前面上耶路撒冷去。
29 快到橄榄山附近的伯法其和伯大尼时，耶稣派了两个门徒，说： 30 “你们去前面的村庄，进村的时候，必看见一头从来没有人骑过的驴驹拴在那里，你们把它解开牵来。 31 若有人问你们为什么把它解开，就说，‘主要用它。’”
32 两个门徒出去后，所遇见的情形正如耶稣所说的。 33 当他们解开驴驹时，主人果然问他们：“你们为什么解开驴驹？”
34 他们说：“主要用它。”
35 他们牵着驴驹回去见耶稣，又把自己的外衣搭在驴背上，扶耶稣上驴。
36 耶稣骑着驴前行，众人用外衣为祂铺路。 37 祂正走下橄榄山，将近耶路撒冷的时候，众门徒因为以往所见的神迹奇事，就欢腾起来，高声赞美上帝：
38 “奉主名来的王当受称颂！
天上有平安，至高处有荣耀！”
39 百姓中有几个法利赛人对耶稣说：“老师，你要责备你的门徒。”
40 耶稣说：“我告诉你们，如果他们闭口不言，这些石头都要呼喊了！”
为耶路撒冷哀哭
41 耶稣快到耶路撒冷时，看见那城就哀哭， 42 说：“今天你若知道那能带给你平安的事就好了！可惜这事现在是隐藏的，你看不见！ 43 因为有一天敌人要在你周围筑起壁垒把你团团围住，四面攻击你。 44 他们要把你夷为平地，毁灭你城墙里的儿女，不会留下两块叠在一起的石头，因为你没有认识到上帝眷顾你的时刻。”
耶稣洁净圣殿
45 耶稣进入圣殿赶走里面做买卖的人， 46 并对他们说：“圣经上说，‘我的殿要成为祷告的殿’，你们竟把它变成了贼窝。”
47 祂天天在圣殿教导人，祭司长、律法教师和百姓的官长都想杀祂， 48 只是无从下手，因为百姓都十分喜爱听祂讲道。

19 Isus a intrat în Ierihon şi trecea prin cetate. 2 Şi un om bogat, numit Zacheu, mai-marele vameşilor, 3 căuta să vadă care este Isus, dar nu putea din pricina norodului, căci era mic de statură. 4 A alergat înainte şi s-a suit într-un dud ca să-L vadă, pentru că pe drumul acela avea să treacă. 5 Isus, când a ajuns la locul acela, Şi-a ridicat ochii şi i-a zis: „Zachee, dă-te jos degrabă, căci astăzi trebuie să rămân în casa ta”. 6 Zacheu s-a dat jos în grabă şi L-a primit cu bucurie. 7 Când au văzut lucrul acesta, toţi cârteau şi ziceau: „A(A) intrat să găzduiască la un om păcătos!” 8 Dar Zacheu a stat înaintea Domnului şi I-a zis: „Iată, Doamne, jumătate din avuţia mea o dau săracilor şi, dacă am năpăstuit(B) pe cineva cu ceva, îi dau înapoi(C) împătrit”. 9 Isus i-a zis: „Astăzi a intrat mântuirea în casa aceasta, căci şi(D) el este fiul(E) lui Avraam. 10 Pentru că(F) Fiul omului a venit să caute şi să mântuiască ce era pierdut.”

11 Pe când ascultau ei aceste lucruri, Isus a mai spus o pildă, pentru că era aproape de Ierusalim, şi ei(G) credeau că Împărăţia lui Dumnezeu are să se arate îndată. 12 Deci(H) a zis: „Un om de neam mare s-a dus într-o ţară depărtată ca să-şi ia o împărăţie şi apoi să se întoarcă. 13 A chemat zece din robii săi, le-a dat zece poli[a] şi le-a zis: ‘Puneţi-i în negoţ până mă voi întoarce’. 14 Dar(I) cetăţenii lui îl urau şi au trimis după el o solie să-i spună: ‘Nu vrem ca omul acesta să împărăţească peste noi’. 15 Când s-a întors înapoi, după ce îşi luase împărăţia, a spus să cheme pe robii aceia cărora le dăduse banii, ca să vadă cât câştigase fiecare cu ei din negoţ. 16 Cel dintâi a venit şi i-a zis: ‘Doamne, polul tău a mai adus zece poli’. 17 El i-a zis: ‘Bine, rob bun, fiindcă ai fost credincios(J) în puţine lucruri, primeşte cârmuirea a zece cetăţi’. 18 A venit al doilea şi i-a zis: ‘Doamne, polul tău a mai adus cinci poli’. 19 El i-a zis şi lui: ‘Primeşte şi tu cârmuirea a cinci cetăţi’. 20 A venit un altul şi i-a zis: ‘Doamne, iată-ţi polul, pe care l-am păstrat învelit într-un ştergar, 21 căci(K) m-am temut de tine, fiindcă eşti un om aspru; iei ce n-ai pus şi seceri ce n-ai semănat’. 22 Stăpânul i-a zis: ‘Rob rău; te voi judeca după(L) cuvintele tale. Ştiai(M) că sunt un om aspru, care iau ce n-am pus şi secer ce n-am semănat, 23 atunci de ce nu mi-ai pus banii la zarafi, pentru ca, la întoarcerea mea, să-i fi luat înapoi cu dobândă?’ 24 Apoi a zis celor ce erau de faţă: ‘Luaţi-i polul şi daţi-l celui ce are zece poli’. 25 ‘Doamne’, i-au zis ei, ‘el are zece poli’. 26 Iar el le-a zis: ‘Vă spun că(N) celui ce are, i se va da, dar de la cel ce n-are, se va lua chiar şi ce are. 27 Cât despre vrăjmaşii mei, care n-au vrut să împărăţesc eu peste ei, aduceţi-i încoace şi tăiaţi-i înaintea mea.’ ” 28 După ce a vorbit astfel, Isus a pornit(O) în frunte şi Se suia spre Ierusalim.
Intrarea lui Isus în Ierusalim
29 Când(P) S-a apropiat de Betfaghe şi de Betania, înspre muntele numit al Măslinilor, Isus a trimis pe doi din ucenicii Săi 30 şi le-a zis: „Duceţi-vă în satul dinaintea voastră. Când veţi intra în el, veţi găsi un măgăruş legat, pe care n-a încălecat nimeni niciodată: dezlegaţi-l şi aduceţi-Mi-l. 31 Dacă vă va întreba cineva: ‘Pentru ce-l dezlegaţi?’ să-i spuneţi aşa: ‘Pentru că Domnul are trebuinţă de el’.” 32 Cei ce fuseseră trimişi s-au dus şi au găsit aşa cum le spusese Isus. 33 Pe când dezlegau măgăruşul, stăpânii lui le-au zis: „Pentru ce dezlegaţi măgăruşul?” 34 Ei au răspuns: „Domnul are trebuinţă de el”. 35 Şi au adus măgăruşul la Isus. Apoi(Q), şi-au aruncat hainele pe el şi au aşezat pe Isus călare, deasupra. 36 Pe când(R) mergea Isus, oamenii îşi aşterneau hainele pe drum. 37 Şi când S-a apropiat de Ierusalim, spre pogorâşul Muntelui Măslinilor, toată mulţimea ucenicilor, plină de bucurie, a început să laude pe Dumnezeu cu glas tare pentru toate minunile pe care le văzuseră. 38 Ei ziceau: „Binecuvântat(S) este Împăratul care vine în Numele Domnului! Pace(T) în cer şi slavă în locurile preaînalte!” 39 Unii farisei din norod au zis lui Isus: „Învăţătorule, ceartă-Ţi ucenicii!” 40 Şi El a răspuns: „Vă spun că, dacă vor tăcea ei, pietrele(U) vor striga”.
Isus plânge pentru cetate
41 Când S-a apropiat de cetate şi a văzut-o, Isus a(V) plâns pentru ea 42 şi a zis: „Dacă ai fi cunoscut şi tu, măcar în această zi, lucrurile care puteau să-ţi dea pacea! Dar acum, ele sunt ascunse de ochii tăi. 43 Vor veni peste tine zile când vrăjmaşii tăi te vor înconjura(W) cu şanţuri, te vor împresura şi te vor strânge din toate părţile: 44 te(X) vor face una cu pământul, pe tine şi pe copiii tăi din mijlocul tău, şi nu(Y) vor lăsa în tine piatră pe piatră, pentru că(Z) n-ai cunoscut vremea când ai fost cercetată.”
Izgonirea vânzătorilor din Templu
45 În(AA) urmă, a intrat în Templu şi a început să scoată afară pe cei ce vindeau şi cumpărau în el. 46 Şi le-a zis: „Este scris(AB): ‘Casa Mea va fi o casă de rugăciune. Dar voi(AC) aţi făcut din ea o peşteră de tâlhari.’ ” 47 Isus învăţa în toate zilele pe norod în Templu. Şi preoţii cei mai de seamă(AD), cărturarii şi bătrânii norodului căutau să-L omoare, 48 dar nu ştiau cum să facă, pentru că tot norodul Îi sorbea vorbele de pe buze.

2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

Jesus Visits Zacchaeus
19 He entered Jericho and was passing through. 2 There was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. 3 He was trying to see who Jesus was, but he was not able to because of the crowd, since he was a short man. 4 So running ahead, he climbed up a sycamore tree to see Jesus, since he was about to pass that way. 5 When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, ‘Zacchaeus, hurry and come down because today it is necessary for me to stay at your house.’
6 So he quickly came down and welcomed him joyfully. 7 All who saw it began to complain,(A) ‘He’s gone to stay with a sinful man.’
8 But Zacchaeus stood there and said to the Lord, ‘Look, I’ll give half of my possessions to the poor,(B) Lord. And if I have extorted(C) anything from anyone, I’ll pay back four times as much.’(D)
9 ‘Today salvation(E) has come to this house,’ Jesus told him, ‘because he too is a son of Abraham.(F) 10 For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.’(G)
The Parable of the Ten Minas
11 As(H) they were listening to this, he went on to tell a parable because he was near Jerusalem,(I) and they thought the kingdom of God was going to appear straight away.(J)
12 Therefore he said, ‘A nobleman travelled to a far country to receive for himself authority to be king[a] and then to return. 13 He called ten of his servants, gave them ten minas,[b] and told them, “Engage in business until I come back.”
14 ‘But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, “We don’t want this man to rule over us.”
15 ‘At his return, having received the authority to be king, he summoned those servants he had given the money to, so that he could find out how much they had made in business. 16 The first came forward and said, “Master, your mina has earned ten more minas.”
17 ‘ “Well done, good[c] servant! ” he told him. “Because you have been faithful(K) in a very small matter, have authority over ten towns.”
18 ‘The second came and said, “Master, your mina has made five minas.”
19 ‘So he said to him, “You will be over five towns.”
20 ‘And another came and said, “Master, here is your mina. I have kept it safe in a cloth 21 because I was afraid of you since you’re a harsh man: you collect what you didn’t deposit and reap what you didn’t sow.”(L)
22 ‘He told him, “I will condemn you by what you have said, you evil servant! If you knew I was a harsh man, collecting what I didn’t deposit and reaping what I didn’t sow, 23 why, then, didn’t you put my money in the bank? And when I returned, I would have collected it with interest.” 24 So he said to those standing there, “Take the mina away from him and give it to the one who has ten minas.”
25 ‘But they said to him, “Master, he has ten minas.”
26 ‘ “I tell you, that to everyone who has, more will be given; and from the one who does not have, even what he does have will be taken away.(M) 27 But bring here these enemies of mine,(N) who did not want me to rule over them, and slaughter[d] them in my presence.” ’
The Triumphal Entry
28 When(O) he had said these things, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.(P) 29 As he approached Bethphage and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives,(Q) he sent two of the disciples 30 and said, ‘Go into the village ahead of you. As you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it. 31 If anyone asks you, “Why are you untying it? ” say this: “The Lord needs it.” ’
32 So those who were sent left and found it just as he had told them.(R) 33 As they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, ‘Why are you untying the colt? ’
34 ‘The Lord needs it,’ they said. 35 Then(S) they brought it to Jesus, and after throwing their clothes on the colt, they helped Jesus get on it.(T) 36 As he was going along, they were spreading their clothes on the road.(U) 37 Now he came near the path down the Mount of Olives, and the whole crowd of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the miracles they had seen:
38 Blessed is the King(V) who comes

Peace in heaven

39 Some of the Pharisees from the crowd told him, ‘Teacher, rebuke your disciples.’
40 He answered, ‘I tell you, if they were to keep silent, the stones would cry out.’(Z)
Jesus’s Love for Jerusalem
41 As he approached and saw the city, he wept(AA) for it, 42 saying, ‘If you knew(AB) this day what would bring peace – but now it is hidden(AC) from your eyes. 43 For the days will come on you(AD) when your enemies will build a barricade round you, surround you, and hem you in on every side.(AE) 44 They will crush you and your children among you to the ground,(AF) and they will not leave one stone on another(AG) in your midst, because you did not recognise the time when God visited you.’(AH)
Cleansing the Temple
45 He(AI) went into the temple and began to throw out those who were selling,[f] 46 and he said, ‘It is written, my house will be a house of prayer,(AJ) but you have made it a den of thieves! ’[g](AK)
47 Every day he was teaching(AL) in the temple. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people were looking for a way to kill(AM) him, 48 but they could not find a way to do it, because all the people(AN) were captivated by what they heard.
