切求的寡婦和不義的官
18 耶穌設一個比喻，是要人常常禱告，不可灰心。 2 說：「某城裡有一個官，不懼怕神，也不尊重世人。 3 那城裡有個寡婦，常到他那裡，說：『我有一個對頭，求你給我申冤。』 4 他多日不准，後來心裡說：『我雖不懼怕神，也不尊重世人， 5 只因這寡婦煩擾我，我就給她申冤吧，免得她常來纏磨我。』」 6 主說：「你們聽這不義之官所說的話。 7 神的選民晝夜呼籲他，他縱然為他們忍了多時，豈不終久給他們申冤嗎？ 8 我告訴你們：要快快地給他們申冤了。然而，人子來的時候，遇得見世上有信德嗎？」
法利賽人和稅吏的禱告
9 耶穌向那些仗著自己是義人藐視別人的，設一個比喻， 10 說：「有兩個人上殿裡去禱告，一個是法利賽人，一個是稅吏。 11 法利賽人站著，自言自語地禱告說：『神啊，我感謝你，我不像別人勒索、不義、姦淫，也不像這個稅吏。 12 我一個禮拜禁食兩次，凡我所得的都捐上十分之一。』 13 那稅吏遠遠地站著，連舉目望天也不敢，只捶著胸說：『神啊，開恩可憐我這個罪人！』 14 我告訴你們，這人回家去比那人倒算為義了。因為凡自高的，必降為卑；自卑的，必升為高。」
主接待小孩
15 有人抱著自己的嬰孩來見耶穌，要他摸他們，門徒看見就責備那些人。 16 耶穌卻叫他們來，說：「讓小孩子到我這裡來，不要禁止他們，因為在神國的正是這樣的人。 17 我實在告訴你們：凡要承受神國的，若不像小孩子，斷不能進去。」
當積財寶在天上
18 有一個官問耶穌說：「良善的夫子，我該做什麼事才可以承受永生？」 19 耶穌對他說：「你為什麼稱我是良善的？除了神一位之外，再沒有良善的。 20 誡命你是曉得的：不可姦淫，不可殺人，不可偷盜，不可作假見證，當孝敬父母。」 21 那人說：「這一切我從小都遵守了。」 22 耶穌聽見了，就說：「你還缺少一件：要變賣你一切所有的，分給窮人，就必有財寶在天上；你還要來跟從我。」 23 他聽見這話，就甚憂愁，因為他很富足。
貪財的難進天國
24 耶穌看見他，就說：「有錢財的人進神的國是何等地難哪！ 25 駱駝穿過針的眼，比財主進神的國還容易呢！」 26 聽見的人說：「這樣誰能得救呢？」 27 耶穌說：「在人所不能的事，在神卻能。」 28 彼得說：「看哪，我們已經撇下自己所有的跟從你了！」 29 耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們：人為神的國撇下房屋或是妻子、弟兄、父母、兒女， 30 沒有在今世不得百倍，在來世不得永生的。」
主預言受難
31 耶穌帶著十二個門徒，對他們說：「看哪，我們上耶路撒冷去，先知所寫的一切事都要成就在人子身上。 32 他將要被交給外邦人，他們要戲弄他，凌辱他，吐唾沫在他臉上， 33 並要鞭打他，殺害他，第三日他要復活。」 34 這些事門徒一樣也不懂得，意思乃是隱藏的，他們不曉得所說的是什麼。
使耶利哥的瞎子看見
35 耶穌將近耶利哥的時候，有一個瞎子坐在路旁討飯。 36 聽見許多人經過，就問是什麼事。 37 他們告訴他，是拿撒勒人耶穌經過。 38 他就呼叫說：「大衛的子孫耶穌啊，可憐我吧！」 39 在前頭走的人就責備他，不許他作聲，他卻越發喊叫說：「大衛的子孫，可憐我吧！」 40 耶穌站住，吩咐把他領過來。到了跟前，就問他說： 41 「你要我為你做什麼？」他說：「主啊，我要能看見！」 42 耶穌說：「你可以看見！你的信救了你了。」 43 瞎子立刻看見了，就跟隨耶穌，一路歸榮耀於神。眾人看見這事，也讚美神。

上帝会回答他的子民
18 耶稣又给门徒们讲了一个比喻，教导他们应该经常祈祷，不要放弃希望。 2 他说∶“从前，某城有一位法官，他不畏惧上帝，也不尊重百姓。 3 当时，城里有一个寡妇，她常常到法官那里说∶‘法官，请制裁我的对头，给我伸张正义吧！’ 4 可是，法官一直没有帮助她。很久以后，他心里想：虽说我不怕上帝，也不尊重百姓， 5 可这个寡妇总来打搅我，倒不如我给她伸了冤，免得她没完没了地打扰我，到最后把我给耗得精疲力尽。”
6 然后，主说：“你们注意听这个不义的法官所说的话。 7 对那些昼夜向上帝呼唤的人们，上帝难道不会给他的选民主持正义吗？难道他会迟迟不帮助他们吗？ 8 我告诉你们，他会迅速为他们伸张正义的！不过，当‘人子’来临时，他还会在世界上找到信奉他的人吗？”
得到上帝的认可
9 耶稣又讲了一个比喻，是针对那些认为自己正义而瞧不起别人的人。他说： 10 “从前，有两个人到主的大殿去祈祷，他们俩其中一个是法利赛人，另一个是税吏。 11 那个法利赛人站在那里，祈祷道∶‘哦哦，上帝啊，我感激您，因为我不像别人那样－我不像强盗、骗子，我不犯通奸罪，我更不像这个税吏， 12 我一周禁食两次，我还奉献我收入的十分之一。’
13 那个税吏远远独自地站着，甚至不敢抬眼望天，可是他却一直在捶胸顿足地说∶‘哦，上帝啊，怜悯我这个有罪的人吧！’ 14 我告诉你们，这个人回去了，就是这个人得到了上帝的认可，而不是另一个人。因为，自命不凡的人将受到贬低；而谦卑的人会受到抬举。”
耶稣欢迎儿童
15 有些人甚至把自己的婴儿都抱到耶稣那里，以便耶稣能把手放在孩子们身上，为他们祝福。可是当门徒看见后，却责备他们。 16 但是，耶稣却把孩子们叫到跟前，说道∶“让这些孩子们到我这里来吧，不要阻挡他们，因为，上帝的王国属于像这些孩子的人。 17 我实话告诉你们，如果谁不能像孩子一样地接受上帝的王国，谁就进不了上帝的王国。”
一个富人不肯跟随耶稣
18 有一个犹太人首领问耶稣∶“好老师，我该做什么才能得到永生呢？
19 耶稣对他说∶“你为什么称我好呢？除了上帝之外，没有任何人是好的。 20 你们知道上帝的诫命：不可通奸，不可杀人，不可偷窃，不得作伪证，要孝敬父母。 [a]”
21 那个犹太人说∶“这些诫命，我从小到现在一直遵守。”
22 耶稣听他这么说，便对他讲∶“可是，还有一件事你需要做，卖掉你所有的财产，把钱分给穷人，这样你在天国里就会有财富了。然后你来跟随我。” 23 但是，那个人听到了这话，感到很悲伤，因为他很富有。
24 耶稣看到他那副样子，便说∶“有钱人要进上帝的王国真是太难了。 25 是的，骆驼钻过针眼都要比富人进上帝的王国还容易呢。”
谁会得救？
26 听到这些话的人们说∶“那么，那么谁能得救呢？” 27 耶稣说∶“人不可能做到的事情，上帝却能做到！” 28 彼得又说∶“您瞧，我们撇下了一切，跟随了您！” 29 耶稣于是对他们说∶“我实话告诉你们吧：事实上，所有为了上帝王国的缘故，而离开他们的家园、妻子、兄弟、父母和孩子的人， 30 将会在今世得到更多，并且在来世享有永恒的生命。”
耶稣再次谈到自己的死
31 然后，耶稣把十二个使徒叫到一边，对他们说∶“听着，我们要到耶路撒冷去，先知们所记载有关人子的事情将要实现。 32 他将被交到外族人的手里，他将受到嘲笑、虐待和唾吐； 33 他们将鞭打他，并杀害了他。但是， 此后的第三天，他会复活。” 34 可是，使徒们对这些事情一样也不明白，这话的含意是向他们隐藏着的，所以，他们不明白他所谈的事情。
耶稣治愈盲人
35 耶稣接近耶利哥的时候，有个盲人坐在路边乞讨。 36 当他听到耶稣他们一行人走过的声音，便问发生了什么事。
37 他们告诉他说：“拿撒勒城的耶稣正从这里路过。” 38 那个盲人便喊道∶“耶稣，大卫的子孙，可怜可怜我吧！”
39 前边走的人斥责他，叫他不要作声，可是他反而喊得更响了∶“大卫的子孙，可怜可怜我吧！”
40 耶稣停下脚步，吩咐人们把那个瞎子带到面前。瞎子来到他面前时，耶稣问他∶“你想要我为你做什么呢？”
41 盲人说∶“主啊，我想重获视力。”
42 耶稣说∶“领受你的视力吧，你的信仰救了你。”
43 他的眼睛立刻复明了，于是，他便跟随了耶稣，一路上对上帝赞不绝口。在场的人看到这个情景，也都赞美起上帝来了。

18 And he spake a parable unto them to the end that they ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 saying, There was in a city a judge, who feared not God, and regarded not man: 3 and there was a widow in that city; and she came oft unto him, saying, [a]Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, [b]lest she [c]wear me out by her continual coming. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what [d]the unrighteous judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his elect, that cry to him day and night, [e]and yet he is longsuffering over them? 8 I say unto you, that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, shall he find [f]faith on the earth?
9 And he spake also this parable unto certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and set [g]all others at nought: 10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a [h]publican. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as the rest of men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this [i]publican. 12 I fast twice in the week; I give tithes of all that I get. 13 But the [j]publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God, [k]be thou merciful to me [l]a sinner. 14 I say unto you, This man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; but he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
15 And they were bringing unto him also their babes, that he should touch them: but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called them unto him, saying, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for [m]to such belongeth the kingdom of God. 17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall in no wise enter therein.
18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, even God. 20 Thou knowest the commandments, [n]Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honor thy father and mother. 21 And he said, All these things have I observed from my youth up. 22 And when Jesus heard it, he said unto him, One thing thou lackest yet: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. 23 But when he heard these things, he became exceeding sorrowful; for he was very rich. 24 And Jesus seeing him said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! 25 For it is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 26 And they that heard it said, Then who can be saved? 27 But he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. 28 And Peter said, Lo, we have left [o]our own, and followed thee. 29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or wife, or brethren, or parents, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, 30 who shall not receive manifold more in this time, and in the [p]world to come eternal life.
31 And he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets shall be accomplished unto the Son of man. 32 For he shall be [q]delivered up unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and shamefully treated, and spit upon: 33 and they shall scourge and kill him: and the third day he shall rise again. 34 And they understood none of these things; and this saying was hid from them, and they perceived not the things that were said.
35 And it came to pass, as he drew nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging: 36 and hearing a multitude going by, he inquired what this meant. 37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by. 38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. 39 And they that went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried out the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. 40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him, 41 What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. 42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath [r]made thee whole. 43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
