寡婦與法官的比喻
18 耶穌對他們講一個比喻，論到人必須常常祈禱，不可灰心。 2 他說：“某城裡有一個法官，不懼怕 神，也不尊敬人。 3 那城裡有一個寡婦，常常來到他那裡，說：‘求你給我伸冤，使我脫離我的對頭！’ 4 他多次不肯，後來心裡說：‘我雖然不懼怕 神，也不尊敬人， 5 只是因為這寡婦常常來麻煩我，就給她伸冤吧，免得她不斷地來纏擾我。’” 6 主說：“你們聽聽這不義的法官所說的話吧。 7 難道 神不會為晝夜呼籲他的選民伸冤嗎？難道 神會耽誤他們嗎？ 8 我告訴你們，他要快快地給他們伸冤。然而人子來的時候，在世上找得到這種信心嗎？”
稅吏和法利賽人的禱告
9 耶穌向那些自恃為義、輕視別人的人，講了這個比喻： 10 “有兩個人上聖殿去祈禱，一個是法利賽人，一個是稅吏。 11 法利賽人站著，禱告給自己聽，這樣說：‘ 神啊，我感謝你，我不像別人，勒索、不義、姦淫，也不像這個稅吏。 12 我一個禮拜禁食兩次，我的一切收入都奉獻十分之一。’ 13 稅吏卻遠遠站著，連舉目望天也不敢，只捶著胸說：‘ 神啊，可憐我這個罪人！’ 14 我告訴你們，這個人回家去，比那個倒算為義了。因為高抬自己的，必要降卑；自己謙卑的，必要升高。”
讓小孩子到我這裡來(A)
15 有人抱著嬰孩到耶穌面前，要他觸摸他們。門徒看見了，就責備那些人。 16 耶穌卻叫他們過來，說：“讓小孩子到我這裡來，不要禁止他們，因為 神的國正屬於這樣的人。 17 我實在告訴你們，凡不像小孩子一樣接受 神的國的，決不能進去。”

18 有一個官長問耶穌：“良善的老師，我當作甚麼，才可以承受永生？” 19 耶穌對他說：“你為甚麼稱我是良善的呢？除了 神一位以外，沒有良善的。 20 誡命你是知道的：不可姦淫，不可殺人，不可偷盜，不可作假見證，當孝敬父母。” 21 他說：“這一切我從小都遵守了。” 22 耶穌聽了，就告訴他：“你還缺少一件，應當變賣你一切所有的，分給窮人，你就必定有財寶在天上，而且你還要來跟從我。” 23 他聽見這話，非常憂愁，因為他十分富有。
24 耶穌見他這樣，就說：“富有的人要進 神的國，是多麼難哪！ 25 駱駝穿過針眼，比有錢的人進 神的國還容易呢。” 26 聽見的人說：“這樣，誰可以得救呢？” 27 耶穌說：“人所不能的，在 神卻是可能的。” 28 彼得說：“你看，我們已捨棄自己所有的，跟從你了！” 29 耶穌說：“我實在告訴你們，人為 神的國撇下房屋、妻子、弟兄、父母或兒女， 30 沒有不在今世得許多倍，來世得永生的。”
第三次預言受難及復活(C)
31 耶穌把十二門徒帶到一邊，對他們說：“我們現在上耶路撒冷去，先知所寫的一切，都要成就在人子身上。 32 他要被交給外族人，受戲弄，被凌辱，他們要向他吐唾沫， 33 鞭打他，殺害他；第三日他要復活。” 34 這些話的含義對門徒是隱藏的。他們聽了，一點也不明白，不知道他說的是甚麼。
治好瞎眼的人(D)

The Parable of the Persistent Widow
18 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.(A) 2 He said: “In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. 3 And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice(B) against my adversary.’
4 “For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, 5 yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’”(C)
6 And the Lord(D) said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. 7 And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out(E) to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? 8 I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man(F) comes,(G) will he find faith on the earth?”
The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector
9 To some who were confident of their own righteousness(H) and looked down on everyone else,(I) Jesus told this parable: 10 “Two men went up to the temple to pray,(J) one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself(K) and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast(L) twice a week and give a tenth(M) of all I get.’
13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast(N) and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’(O)
14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”(P)
The Little Children and Jesus(Q)
15 People were also bringing babies to Jesus for him to place his hands on them. When the disciples saw this, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 17 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child(R) will never enter it.”
The Rich and the Kingdom of God(S)
18 A certain ruler asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”(T)
19 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good—except God alone. 20 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.’[a]”(U)
21 “All these I have kept since I was a boy,” he said.
22 When Jesus heard this, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor,(V) and you will have treasure in heaven.(W) Then come, follow me.”
23 When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was very wealthy. 24 Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!(X) 25 Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
26 Those who heard this asked, “Who then can be saved?”
27 Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”(Y)
28 Peter said to him, “We have left all we had to follow you!”(Z)
29 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God 30 will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come(AA) eternal life.”(AB)
Jesus Predicts His Death a Third Time(AC)
31 Jesus took the Twelve aside and told them, “We are going up to Jerusalem,(AD) and everything that is written by the prophets(AE) about the Son of Man(AF) will be fulfilled. 32 He will be delivered over to the Gentiles.(AG) They will mock him, insult him and spit on him; 33 they will flog him(AH) and kill him.(AI) On the third day(AJ) he will rise again.”(AK)
34 The disciples did not understand any of this. Its meaning was hidden from them, and they did not know what he was talking about.(AL)
A Blind Beggar Receives His Sight(AM)
35 As Jesus approached Jericho,(AN) a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. 36 When he heard the crowd going by, he asked what was happening. 37 They told him, “Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”(AO)
38 He called out, “Jesus, Son of David,(AP) have mercy(AQ) on me!”
39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”(AR)
40 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you?”
“Lord, I want to see,” he replied.
42 Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; your faith has healed you.”(AS) 43 Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus, praising God. When all the people saw it, they also praised God.(AT)

Änkan och domaren
18 (A) Jesus berättade för dem en liknelse för att visa att de alltid ska be utan att tröttna: 2 "I en stad fanns en domare som varken fruktade Gud eller hade respekt för människor. 3 I samma stad fanns en änka som kom till honom gång på gång och sade: Ge mig rätt mot min motpart! 4 En tid ville han inte, men sedan sade han till sig själv: Även om jag inte fruktar Gud eller har respekt för människor 5 ska jag ändå ge den här änkan rätt, eftersom hon är så besvärlig. Annars pinar hon till slut livet ur mig med sitt springande."[a]
6 Och Herren sade: "Hör vad den orättfärdige domaren säger. 7 (B) Skulle då inte Gud skaffa rätt åt sina utvalda som ropar till honom dag och natt? Han lyssnar tålmodigt till dem[b]. 8 (C) Jag säger er: Han ska snart skaffa dem rätt. Men ska Människosonen finna tron på jorden när han kommer?"
Farisén och tullindrivaren
9 (D) För några som var säkra på att de själva var rättfärdiga och som föraktade andra berättade Jesus också denna liknelse: 10 "Två personer gick upp till templet för att be. Den ene var farisé och den andre tullindrivare. 11 (E) Farisén stod och bad för sig själv: Gud, jag tackar dig för att jag inte är som andra människor: roffare, brottslingar, äktenskapsbrytare eller som den där tullindrivaren. 12 (F) Jag fastar två gånger i veckan[c], jag ger tionde av allt jag får in[d].
13 (G) Men tullindrivaren stod långt borta och vågade inte ens lyfta blicken mot himlen, utan slog sig mot bröstet[e] och bad: Gud, förlåt en syndare som mig. 14 (H) Jag säger er: Han gick hem rättfärdig, inte den andre. Var och en som upphöjer sig ska bli förödmjukad, men den som ödmjukar sig ska bli upphöjd."
Jesus och barnen
15 (I) Man bar också fram spädbarn till Jesus för att han skulle röra vid dem. När lärjungarna såg det, visade de bort dem. 16 Men Jesus kallade dem till sig och sade: "Låt barnen komma till mig och hindra dem inte, för Guds rike tillhör sådana som de. 17 (J) Jag säger er sanningen: Den som inte tar emot Guds rike som ett barn kommer aldrig dit in."
Jesus och den rike mannen
18 (K) En högt uppsatt man[f] frågade Jesus: "Gode Mästare! Vad ska jag göra för att få evigt liv?" 19 Jesus sade till honom: "Varför kallar du mig god? Ingen är god utom Gud. 20 Buden kan du: Du ska inte begå äktenskapsbrott. Du ska inte mörda. Du ska inte stjäla. Du ska inte vittna falskt. Hedra din far och din mor."[g] 21 Mannen sade: "Allt det har jag hållit sedan jag var ung[h]." 22 (L) När Jesus hörde det, sade han till honom: "Ett fattas fortfarande för dig. Sälj allt du äger och dela ut till de fattiga. Då kommer du att ha en skatt i himlen. Kom sedan och följ mig."
23 När mannen hörde detta blev han djupt bedrövad, för han var mycket rik. 24 (M) Jesus såg att han var bedrövad[i] och sade: "Hur svårt är det inte för dem som har pengar att komma in i Guds rike! 25 Det är lättare för en kamel[j] att komma igenom ett nålsöga än för en rik att komma in i Guds rike." 26 De som hörde det sade: "Vem kan då bli frälst?" 27 (N) Han svarade: "Det som är omöjligt för människor är möjligt för Gud."
28 (O) Då sade Petrus: "Vi har lämnat det vi hade och följt dig." 29 Jesus sade till dem: "Jag säger er sanningen: Var och en som har lämnat hus eller hustru eller syskon eller föräldrar eller barn för Guds rike 30 ska få mångdubbelt igen redan i den här världen, och sedan evigt liv i den kommande världen."
Jesus talar en tredje gång om sin död
31 (P) Jesus tog de tolv åt sidan och sade till dem: "Se, vi går upp till Jerusalem, och allt som är skrivet om Människosonen genom profeterna ska gå i uppfyllelse. 32 (Q) Han ska utlämnas åt hedningarna, och de ska håna och skymfa honom, spotta på honom, 33 gissla honom och döda honom. Och på tredje dagen ska han uppstå." 34 Men lärjungarna förstod ingenting av detta. Det var fördolt för dem, och de fattade inte vad han menade.
Den blinde vid Jeriko
35 (R) När Jesus närmade sig Jeriko satt en blind man vid vägen och tiggde. 36 Han hörde folk gå förbi och frågade vad som hände. 37 Man berättade för honom att Jesus från Nasaret gick förbi, 38 (S) och då ropade han: "Jesus, Davids son, förbarma dig över mig!" 39 De som gick främst sade åt honom att vara tyst, men han ropade bara ännu mer: "Davids son, förbarma dig över mig!"
40 Jesus stannade och befallde att mannen skulle ledas fram till honom. När han kom närmare frågade Jesus: 41 "Vad vill du att jag ska göra för dig?" Han svarade: "Herre, gör så att jag kan se igen!" 42 (T) Jesus sade till honom: "Du får din syn. Din tro har frälst dig." 43 (U) Genast kunde han se, och han följde Jesus och prisade Gud. Och allt folket som såg det prisade Gud.

Jesus Blesses Little Children(I)
15 (J)Then they also brought infants to Him that He might touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16 But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for (K)of such is the kingdom of God. 17 (L)Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.”
Jesus Counsels the Rich Young Ruler(M)
18 (N)Now a certain ruler asked Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”

26 And those who heard it said, “Who then can be saved?”
27 But He said, (V)“The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”

Jesus a Third Time Predicts His Death and Resurrection(Z)

35 (AF)Then it happened, as He was coming near Jericho, that a certain blind man sat by the road begging. 36 And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant. 37 So they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. 38 And he cried out, saying, “Jesus, (AG)Son of David, have mercy on me!”
39 Then those who went before warned him that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
40 So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be brought to Him. And when he had come near, He asked him, 41 saying, “What do you want Me to do for you?”
He said, “Lord, that I may receive my sight.”
42 Then Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight; (AH)your faith has made you well.” 43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, (AI)glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
