17 耶穌教導門徒說：「引人犯罪的事是免不了的，但引人犯罪的人有禍了。 2 誰使一個卑微的弟兄失足犯罪，他的下場比把大磨石拴在他脖子上扔到海裡還要慘。 3 你們要小心謹慎！你的弟兄若犯了罪，要責備他。他若悔改，要饒恕他。 4 就算他一天得罪你七次，每次都對你說，『我悔改』，你都要饒恕他。」
5 使徒對主說：「請你加添我們的信心。」
6 主說：「如果你們的信心像一粒芥菜種那麼大，便可對這棵桑樹說，『連根拔起，栽在大海裡！』它必服從你們。
7 「你們誰會對種田或放羊回來的奴僕說，『請趕快坐下來吃飯』？ 8 不都是吩咐他『給我準備晚飯，束上腰帶伺候我用餐，等我吃完，你才可以吃』嗎？ 9 奴僕照著吩咐去做，主人會謝他嗎？ 10 同樣，你們照著吩咐把事情辦妥後，也該這樣說，『我們是無用的奴僕，所做的不過是分內的事。』」
十個痲瘋病人
11 耶穌繼續前往耶路撒冷，途經撒瑪利亞和加利利的交界處。 12 祂進入一個村莊時，十個痲瘋病人迎面而來。他們遠遠地站著， 13 高聲呼喊道：「耶穌，老師啊，求你可憐我們吧！」
14 耶穌看見他們，就說：「去讓祭司察看你們的身體。」
他們去的時候，就潔淨了。 15 其中一個發現自己痊癒了，就跑回來，高聲讚美上帝， 16 又俯伏在耶穌的腳前連連稱謝。這人是撒瑪利亞人。
17 耶穌說：「被醫好的不是有十個人嗎？其他九個呢？ 18 回來讚美稱頌上帝的只有這個外族人嗎？」 19 於是祂對那人說：「起來回去吧！你的信心救了你。」
上帝國的降臨
20 法利賽人問耶穌：「上帝的國什麼時候降臨？」
耶穌回答說：「上帝國的降臨並沒有看得見的徵兆。 21 所以沒有人能說，『上帝的國在這裡』，或說，『在那裡』，因為上帝的國就在你們心裡[a]。」
22 祂又對門徒說：「時候將到，你們將渴望見到人子降臨的日子，可是你們卻見不到。 23 有人將對你們說，『看啊，祂在這裡！』或說，『看啊，祂在那裡！』你們不要出去，也不要追隨他們。 24 因為人子降臨的時候必如劃過長空的閃電，從天這邊一直照亮到天那邊。 25 但祂必須先受苦，被這個世代棄絕。
26 「人子降臨時的情形將像挪亞的時代， 27 人們吃喝嫁娶，一直到挪亞進入方舟那天，洪水來了，毀滅了他們； 28 又像羅得的時代，人們吃喝、做買賣、耕地、蓋房。 29 在羅得離開所多瑪那天，烈火和硫磺從天而降，把他們全毀滅了。
30 「人子顯現之日的情形也是如此。 31 那天，在自己屋頂上的，不要下來收拾行李；在田裡工作的，也不要回家。 32 你們要記住羅得妻子的事。 33 想保全生命的，必喪失生命；喪失生命的，必保全生命。 34 我告訴你們，那天晚上，兩個人睡在一張床上，一個將被接去，一個將被撇下； 35 兩個女人一起推磨，一個將被接去，一個將被撇下； 36 兩個人在田間，一個將被接去，一個將被撇下。[b]」
37 門徒問：「主啊，在哪裡有這事呢？」
耶穌回答說：「屍體在哪裡，禿鷹就會聚集在哪裡。」

17 Then He said to His disciples, “It is impossible for stumbling blocks not to come. But, but woe to him by whom they come.
2 “It would be better for him if a great millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 “Pay attention to yourselves. If your brother trespasses against you, rebuke him. And if he repents, forgive him.
4 “And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turns again to you, saying, ‘I repent’, you shall forgive him.”
5 And the Apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
6 And the Lord said, “If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Pluck yourself up by the roots and plant yourself in the sea’, and it would obey you.
7 “Also, who of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, would say to him when he comes from the field, ‘Come at once, and sit down to eat?’
8 “Would you not rather say to him, ‘Prepare my supper and dress yourself. And serve me until I have eaten and drunk. And you eat and drink afterward?’
9 “Does he thank that servant because he did that which was commanded? I think not.
10 “So likewise you, when you have done all those things which are commanded of you, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants. We have done that which was our duty to do.’”
11 And so it was when He went to Jerusalem, that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as He entered into a certain town, ten leprous men met Him there, who stood at a distance.
13 And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus! Master! Have mercy on us!”
14 And when He saw, He said to them, “Go. Show yourselves to the priests.” And it happened that as they went, they were cleansed.
15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice praised God,
16 and fell down on his face at His feet and gave him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answered, and said, “Are there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
18 “There is no one found who returned to give God praise, except this stranger?”
19 And He said to him, “Arise. Go your way. Your faith has saved you.”
20 And when He was asked by the Pharisees when the Kingdom of God would come, He answered them, and said, “The Kingdom of God does not come with observation.
21 “Nor shall they say, ‘Lo, here!’ or ‘Lo, there!’ For behold, the Kingdom of God is within you.”
22 And He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you shall not see it.
23 “Then they shall say to you, ‘Behold here!’or ‘Behold there!’ Do not go there or follow them.
24 “For as the lightning that flashes out of one part of Heaven, shines into another part of Heaven, so shall the Son of Man be on His day.
25 “But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.
26 “And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the Son of Man.
27 “They ate, they drank, they married wives and gave in marriage, until the day that Noah went into the Ark. And the flood came and destroyed them all.
28 “Also, as it was in the days of Lot. They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built.
29 “But on the day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from Heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 “So shall it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
31 “On that day, the one who is upon the house (and his stuff in the house), let him not come down to take it out. And likewise, the one who is in the field, let him not turn back to that which he left behind.
32 “Remember Lot’s wife.
33 “Whoever will seek to save his soul, shall lose it. And whoever shall lose it, shall preserve it.
34 “I tell you, on that night there shall be two in one bed. The one shall be received, and the other shall be left.
35 “Two women shall be grinding together. The one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
36 “Two shall be in the field. One shall be received, and another shall be left.”
37 And they answered, and said to Him, “Where, Lord?” And He said to them, “Wherever the body is, there also shall the birds of prey be gathered together.”

17 Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble(A) are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.(B) 2 It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones(C) to stumble.(D) 3 So watch yourselves.
“If your brother or sister[a] sins against you, rebuke them;(E) and if they repent, forgive them.(F) 4 Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”(G)
5 The apostles(H) said to the Lord,(I) “Increase our faith!”
6 He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed,(J) you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.(K)
7 “Suppose one of you has a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, ‘Come along now and sit down to eat’? 8 Won’t he rather say, ‘Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me(L) while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink’? 9 Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do? 10 So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’”(M)
Jesus Heals Ten Men With Leprosy
11 Now on his way to Jerusalem,(N) Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.(O) 12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy[b](P) met him. They stood at a distance(Q) 13 and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master,(R) have pity on us!”
14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.”(S) And as they went, they were cleansed.
15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God(T) in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.(U)
17 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18 Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”(V)
The Coming of the Kingdom of God(W)
20 Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come,(X) Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, 21 nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’(Y) because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”[c]
22 Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man,(Z) but you will not see it.(AA) 23 People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them.(AB) 24 For the Son of Man in his day[d] will be like the lightning,(AC) which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other. 25 But first he must suffer many things(AD) and be rejected(AE) by this generation.(AF)
26 “Just as it was in the days of Noah,(AG) so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all.
28 “It was the same in the days of Lot.(AH) People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
30 “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.(AI) 31 On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything.(AJ) 32 Remember Lot’s wife!(AK) 33 Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.(AL) 34 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. 35 Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”(AM) [36] [e]
37 “Where, Lord?” they asked.
He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”(AN)
