17 耶穌教導門徒說：「引人犯罪的事是免不了的，但引人犯罪的人有禍了。 2 誰使一個卑微的弟兄失足犯罪，他的下場比把大磨石拴在他脖子上扔到海裡還要慘。 3 你們要小心謹慎！你的弟兄若犯了罪，要責備他。他若悔改，要饒恕他。 4 就算他一天得罪你七次，每次都對你說，『我悔改』，你都要饒恕他。」
5 使徒對主說：「請你加添我們的信心。」
6 主說：「如果你們的信心像一粒芥菜種那麼大，便可對這棵桑樹說，『連根拔起，栽在大海裡！』它必服從你們。
7 「你們誰會對種田或放羊回來的奴僕說，『請趕快坐下來吃飯』？ 8 不都是吩咐他『給我準備晚飯，束上腰帶伺候我用餐，等我吃完，你才可以吃』嗎？ 9 奴僕照著吩咐去做，主人會謝他嗎？ 10 同樣，你們照著吩咐把事情辦妥後，也該這樣說，『我們是無用的奴僕，所做的不過是分內的事。』」
十個痲瘋病人
11 耶穌繼續前往耶路撒冷，途經撒瑪利亞和加利利的交界處。 12 祂進入一個村莊時，十個痲瘋病人迎面而來。他們遠遠地站著， 13 高聲呼喊道：「耶穌，老師啊，求你可憐我們吧！」
14 耶穌看見他們，就說：「去讓祭司察看你們的身體。」
他們去的時候，就潔淨了。 15 其中一個發現自己痊癒了，就跑回來，高聲讚美上帝， 16 又俯伏在耶穌的腳前連連稱謝。這人是撒瑪利亞人。
17 耶穌說：「被醫好的不是有十個人嗎？其他九個呢？ 18 回來讚美稱頌上帝的只有這個外族人嗎？」 19 於是祂對那人說：「起來回去吧！你的信心救了你。」
上帝國的降臨
20 法利賽人問耶穌：「上帝的國什麼時候降臨？」
耶穌回答說：「上帝國的降臨並沒有看得見的徵兆。 21 所以沒有人能說，『上帝的國在這裡』，或說，『在那裡』，因為上帝的國就在你們心裡[a]。」
22 祂又對門徒說：「時候將到，你們將渴望見到人子降臨的日子，可是你們卻見不到。 23 有人將對你們說，『看啊，祂在這裡！』或說，『看啊，祂在那裡！』你們不要出去，也不要追隨他們。 24 因為人子降臨的時候必如劃過長空的閃電，從天這邊一直照亮到天那邊。 25 但祂必須先受苦，被這個世代棄絕。
26 「人子降臨時的情形將像挪亞的時代， 27 人們吃喝嫁娶，一直到挪亞進入方舟那天，洪水來了，毀滅了他們； 28 又像羅得的時代，人們吃喝、做買賣、耕地、蓋房。 29 在羅得離開所多瑪那天，烈火和硫磺從天而降，把他們全毀滅了。
30 「人子顯現之日的情形也是如此。 31 那天，在自己屋頂上的，不要下來收拾行李；在田裡工作的，也不要回家。 32 你們要記住羅得妻子的事。 33 想保全生命的，必喪失生命；喪失生命的，必保全生命。 34 我告訴你們，那天晚上，兩個人睡在一張床上，一個將被接去，一個將被撇下； 35 兩個女人一起推磨，一個將被接去，一個將被撇下； 36 兩個人在田間，一個將被接去，一個將被撇下。[b]」
37 門徒問：「主啊，在哪裡有這事呢？」
耶穌回答說：「屍體在哪裡，禿鷹就會聚集在哪裡。」

Temptations to Sin
17 And he said to his disciples, (A)“Temptations to sin[a] are (B)sure to come, but (C)woe to the one through whom they come! 2 (D)It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin.[b] 3 Pay attention to yourselves! (E)If your brother sins, (F)rebuke him, and if he repents, (G)forgive him, 4 and if he sins against you (H)seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”
Increase Our Faith
5 (I)The apostles said to the Lord, (J)“Increase our faith!” 6 And the Lord said, (K)“If you had faith like (L)a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this (M)mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Unworthy Servants
7 “Will any one of you who has a servant[c] plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’? 8 Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare supper for me, and (N)dress properly,[d] and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’? 9 Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded? 10 So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are (O)unworthy servants;[e] we have only done what was our duty.’”
Jesus Cleanses Ten Lepers
11 (P)On the way to Jerusalem (Q)he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. 12 And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers,[f] (R)who stood at a distance 13 and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” 14 When he saw them he said to them, “Go and (S)show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. 15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, (T)praising God with a loud voice; 16 and (U)he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. Now he was (V)a Samaritan. 17 Then Jesus answered, “Were not (W)ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was no one found to return and (X)give praise to God except this (Y)foreigner?” 19 And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; (Z)your faith has (AA)made you well.”[g]
The Coming of the Kingdom
20 Being asked by the Pharisees (AB)when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God (AC)is not coming in ways that can be observed, 21 nor (AD)will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”[h]
22 And he said to the disciples, (AE)“The days are coming when you will desire (AF)to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. 23 (AG)And they will say to you, ‘Look, there!’ or ‘Look, here!’ Do not go out or follow them. 24 (AH)For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be (AI)in his day.[i] 25 But first (AJ)he must suffer many things and (AK)be rejected by this generation. 26 (AL)Just as it was in the days of (AM)Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 (AN)They were eating and drinking and marrying and being given in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 Likewise, just as it was in the days of (AO)Lot—they were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building, 29 (AP)but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all— 30 so will it be (AQ)on the day when the Son of Man is revealed. 31 On that day, (AR)let the one who is on (AS)the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away, and likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back. 32 (AT)Remember Lot's wife. 33 (AU)Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will (AV)keep it. 34 I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. Warnings from Jesus
17 He(A) said to His disciples, “Offenses[a] will certainly come,[b] but woe(B) to the one they come(C) through! 2 It would be better for him if a millstone[c] were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to stumble.(D) 3 Be(E) on your guard. If your brother sins,[d] rebuke(F) him, and if he repents, forgive(G) him. 4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and comes back to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.”
Faith and Duty
5 The(H) apostles(I) said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”(J)
6 “If you have faith the size of[e] a mustard seed,”(K) the Lord said, “you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
7 “Which one of you having a slave tending sheep or plowing will say to him when he comes in from the field, ‘Come at once and sit down to eat’? 8 Instead, will he not tell him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, get ready,[f] and serve me while I eat and drink; later you can eat and drink’?(L) 9 Does he thank that slave because he did what was commanded?[g] 10 In the same way, when you have done all that you were commanded, you should say, ‘We are good-for-nothing(M) slaves; we’ve only done our duty.’”
Ten Men Healed
11 While traveling to Jerusalem,(N) He passed between[h] Samaria and Galilee.(O) 12 As He entered a village, 10 men with serious skin diseases(P) met Him. They stood at a distance 13 and raised their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master,(Q) have mercy on us!”
14 When He saw them, He told them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.”(R) And while they were going, they were healed.[i]
15 But one of them, seeing that he was healed, returned and, with a loud voice, gave glory to God.(S) 16 He fell facedown(T) at His feet, thanking Him. And he was a Samaritan.(U)
17 Then Jesus said, “Were not 10 cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Didn’t any return[j] to give glory to God except this foreigner?” 19 And He told him, “Get up and go on your way. Your faith has made you well.”[k](V)
The Coming of the Kingdom
20 Being(W) asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God will come,(X) He answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming with something observable; 21 no one will say,[l] ‘Look here!’ or ‘There!’ For you see, the kingdom of God is among you.”
22 Then He told the disciples: “The days are coming(Y) when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you won’t see it.(Z) 23 They will say to you,(AA) ‘Look there!’ or ‘Look here!’ Don’t follow or run after them.(AB) 24 For as the lightning flashes from horizon to horizon and lights up the sky, so the Son of Man will be in His day.(AC) 25 But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.(AD)
26 “Just as it was in the days of Noah,(AE) so it will be in the days of the Son of Man: 27 People went on eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage(AF) until the day Noah boarded the ark,(AG) and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 It will be the same as it was in the days of Lot:(AH) People went on eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building. 29 But on the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed(AI) them all. 30 It(AJ) will be like that on the day the Son of Man is revealed.(AK) 31 On that day, a man on the housetop, whose belongings are in the house, must not come down to get them. Likewise the man who is in the field must not turn back. 32 Remember Lot’s wife!(AL) 33 Whoever tries to make his life secure[m][n] will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.(AM) 34 I tell you, on that night(AN) two will be in one bed: One will be taken and the other will be left. 35 Two women will be grinding grain together: One will be taken and the other left. 37 “Where, Lord?”(AO) they asked Him.
He said to them, “Where the corpse is, there also the vultures(AP) will be gathered.”

17 Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?
8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
