主训人的祷告
11 耶稣在一个地方祷告，祷告完了，有个门徒对他说：“求主教导我们祷告，像约翰教导他的门徒。” 2 耶稣说：“你们祷告的时候，要说：‘我们在天上的父[a]，愿人都尊你的名为圣，愿你的国降临，愿你的旨意行在地上，如同行在天上[b]。 3 我们日用的饮食，天天赐给我们。 4 赦免我们的罪，因为我们也赦免凡亏欠我们的人。不叫我们遇见试探，救我们脱离凶恶。[c]’”
求则得之
5 耶稣又说：“你们中间谁有一个朋友半夜到他那里去，说：‘朋友，请借给我三个饼， 6 因为我有一个朋友行路，来到我这里，我没有什么给他摆上。’ 7 那人在里面回答说：‘不要搅扰我，门已经关闭，孩子们也同我在床上了，我不能起来给你。’ 8 我告诉你们：虽不因他是朋友起来给他，但因他情词迫切地直求，就必起来照他所需用的给他。 9 我又告诉你们：你们祈求，就给你们；寻找，就寻见；叩门，就给你们开门。 10 因为凡祈求的，就得着；寻找的，就寻见；叩门的，就给他开门。 11 你们中间做父亲的，谁有儿子求饼，反给他石头呢？求鱼，反拿蛇当鱼给他呢？ 12 求鸡蛋，反给他蝎子呢？ 13 你们虽然不好，尚且知道拿好东西给儿女，何况天父，岂不更将圣灵给求他的人吗？”
驳倒犹太人的谗言
14 耶稣赶出一个叫人哑巴的鬼，鬼出去了，哑巴就说出话来。众人都稀奇， 15 内中却有人说：“他是靠着鬼王别西卜赶鬼。” 16 又有人试探耶稣，向他求从天上来的神迹。 17 他晓得他们的意念，便对他们说：“凡一国自相纷争，就成为荒场；凡一家自相纷争，就必败落。 18 若撒旦自相纷争，他的国怎能站得住呢？因为你们说我是靠着别西卜赶鬼。 19 我若靠着别西卜赶鬼，你们的子弟赶鬼又靠着谁呢？这样，他们就要断定你们的是非。 20 我若靠着神的能力赶鬼，这就是神的国临到你们了。 21 壮士披挂整齐看守自己的住宅，他所有的都平安无事。 22 但有一个比他更壮的来，胜过他，就夺去他所倚靠的盔甲兵器，又分了他的赃。 23 不与我相合的，就是敌我的；不同我收聚的，就是分散的。 24 污鬼离了人身，就在无水之地过来过去，寻求安歇之处，既寻不着，便说：‘我要回到我所出来的屋里去。’ 25 到了，就看见里面打扫干净，修饰好了， 26 便去另带了七个比自己更恶的鬼来，都进去住在那里。那人末后的景况比先前更不好了。”
27 耶稣正说这话的时候，众人中间有一个女人大声说：“怀你胎的和乳养你的有福了！” 28 耶稣说：“是，却还不如听神之道而遵守的人有福！”
求神迹的受责备
29 当众人聚集的时候，耶稣开讲说：“这世代是一个邪恶的世代，他们求看神迹，除了约拿的神迹以外，再没有神迹给他们看。 30 约拿怎样为尼尼微人成了神迹，人子也要照样为这世代的人成了神迹。 31 当审判的时候，南方的女王要起来定这世代的罪，因为她从地极而来，要听所罗门的智慧话。看哪，在这里有一人比所罗门更大！ 32 当审判的时候，尼尼微人要起来定这世代的罪，因为尼尼微人听了约拿所传的就悔改了。看哪，在这里有一人比约拿更大！
论心里的光
33 “没有人点灯放在地窨子里或是斗底下，总是放在灯台上，使进来的人得见亮光。 34 你眼睛就是身上的灯。你的眼睛若了亮，全身就光明；眼睛若昏花，全身就黑暗。 35 所以，你要省察，恐怕你里头的光或者黑暗了。 36 若是你全身光明，毫无黑暗，就必全然光明，如同灯的明光照亮你。”
37 说话的时候，有一个法利赛人请耶稣同他吃饭，耶稣就进去坐席。 38 这法利赛人看见耶稣饭前不洗手便诧异。 39 主对他说：“如今你们法利赛人洗净杯盘的外面，你们里面却满了勒索和邪恶。 40 无知的人哪，造外面的，不也造里面吗？ 41 只要把里面的施舍给人，凡物于你们就都洁净了。
述说法利赛人六祸
42 “你们法利赛人有祸了！因为你们将薄荷、芸香并各样菜蔬献上十分之一，那公义和爱神的事反倒不行了。这原是你们当行的，那也是不可不行的。 43 你们法利赛人有祸了！因为你们喜爱会堂里的首位，又喜爱人在街市上问你们的安。 44 你们有祸了！因为你们如同不显露的坟墓，走在上面的人并不知道。”
45 律法师中有一个回答耶稣说：“夫子，你这样说也把我们糟蹋了！” 46 耶稣说：“你们律法师也有祸了！因为你们把难担的担子放在人身上，自己一个指头却不肯动。 47 你们有祸了！因为你们修造先知的坟墓，那先知正是你们的祖宗所杀的。 48 可见你们祖宗所做的事，你们又证明又喜欢；因为他们杀了先知，你们修造先知的坟墓。 49 所以神用智慧[d]曾说：‘我要差遣先知和使徒到他们那里去，有的他们要杀害，有的他们要逼迫。’ 50 使创世以来所流众先知血的罪，都要问在这世代的人身上， 51 就是从亚伯的血起，直到被杀在坛和殿中间撒迦利亚的血为止。我实在告诉你们：这都要问在这世代的人身上。 52 你们律法师有祸了！因为你们把知识的钥匙夺了去，自己不进去，正要进去的人你们也阻挡他们。”
53 耶稣从那里出来，文士和法利赛人就极力地催逼他，引动他多说话， 54 私下窥听，要拿他的话柄。

教導門徒禱告
11 有一天，耶穌在某地禱告完畢，有個門徒對祂說：「主啊，請教導我們禱告，像約翰教他的門徒一樣。」
2 耶穌對他們說：「你們應該這樣禱告，
『天父，願人都尊崇你的聖名，
願你的國度降臨，
願你的旨意在地上成就，
就像在天上成就一樣[a]。
3 願你天天賜給我們日用的飲食。
4 求你饒恕我們的罪，
因為我們也饒恕那些虧欠我們的人。
不要讓我們遇見誘惑，
拯救我們脫離那惡者[b]。』」
5 耶穌又對他們說：「假設你在半夜跑去朋友家請求說，『朋友，請借給我三個餅吧， 6 因為有一位朋友遠道而來，我家沒有什麼可以招待他。』 7 那個人在屋裡應聲說，『請別打攪我，門已經鎖上了，我和孩子們也已經上床了，我不能起來給你拿餅。』
8 「我告訴你們，那人雖不念朋友之情，但是倘若你不肯甘休，繼續請求，他最終會起來滿足你的願望。
9 「我告訴你們，祈求，就會給你們；尋找，就會尋見；叩門，就會給你們開門。 10 因為凡祈求的，就得到；尋找的，就尋見；叩門的，就給他開門。
11 「你們中間做父親的，如果孩子要餅，你會給他石頭嗎？[c]要魚，你會給他蛇嗎？ 12 要雞蛋，你會給他蠍子嗎？ 13 你們雖然邪惡，尚且知道把好東西給兒女，天父豈不更要賜聖靈給那些求祂的人嗎？」
耶穌和別西卜
14 有一次，耶穌趕出一個使人啞巴的鬼。鬼一出去，啞巴就能說話了，大家都很驚奇。 15 有人卻說：「祂是靠鬼王別西卜趕鬼。」 16 還有些人想試探耶穌，要求祂行個神蹟證明自己是上帝派來的。
17 耶穌知道他們的心思，就說：「一個國內部自相紛爭，必然滅亡；一個家內部自相紛爭，必然崩潰。 18 同樣，若撒旦內部自相紛爭，牠的國怎能維持呢？你們說我是靠別西卜趕鬼， 19 若我是靠別西卜趕鬼，你們的子弟又是靠誰趕鬼呢？因此，他們要審判你們。 20 但若我是靠上帝的能力趕鬼，就是上帝的國已降臨在你們中間了。
21 「壯漢全副武裝地看守自己的住宅，他的財物會很安全。 22 但是，來了一個比他更強壯的人，把他制伏後，奪去他所依靠的武裝，並把他搶來的東西分給了人。 23 誰不與我為友，就是與我為敵；誰不和我一起收聚，就是故意拆散。
24 「有個污鬼離開了牠以前所附的人，在乾旱無水之地四處遊蕩，尋找安歇之處，卻沒有找到。於是牠說，『我要回到老地方。』 25 牠回去後，看見裡面打掃得又乾淨又整齊， 26 就去帶來了七個比自己更邪惡的鬼一起住在那裡。那人的下場比從前更慘了。」
誰更有福
27 耶穌說話的時候，人群中有個婦人高喊：「生你養你的人真有福啊！」
28 耶穌回答說：「但那聽了上帝的話又去遵行的人更有福。」
可悲的邪惡世代
29 這時聚集的人越來越多，耶穌說：「這是一個邪惡的世代，人們只想看神蹟，但除了約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他們看。 30 正如約拿成了尼尼微人的神蹟，人子也要成為這世代的神蹟。
31 「在審判的日子，南方的女王和這世代的人都要起來[d]，她要定這個世代的罪，因為她曾不遠千里來聽所羅門王的智言慧語。看啊！這裡有一位比所羅門王更偉大。
32 「在審判的日子，尼尼微人和這世代的人都要起來，尼尼微人要定這個世代的罪，因為他們聽到約拿的宣告，就悔改了。看啊！這裡有一位比約拿更偉大。
燈的比喻
33 「沒有人點了燈卻將它放在地窖裡或斗底下，人總是把燈放在燈臺上，讓進來的人可以看見光。 34 你的眼睛就是身體的燈，你的眼睛明亮，全身就光明；你的眼睛昏花，全身就黑暗。 35 因此要小心，不要讓你心裡的光變為黑暗。 36 如果你全身光明、毫無黑暗，你整個人就熠熠生輝，好像有燈光照在你身上。」
譴責法利賽人
37 耶穌說完這番話後，有一個法利賽人來請祂吃飯，祂便應邀入席。 38 這位法利賽人看見耶穌飯前沒有行猶太人洗手的禮儀，十分詫異。 39 主對他說：「你們法利賽人洗淨杯盤的外面，你們裡面卻充滿了貪婪和邪惡。 40 愚蠢的人啊，人裡外不都是上帝所創造的嗎？ 41 只要你們發自內心地去施捨，一切對你們都是潔淨的。
42 「法利賽人啊，你們有禍了！你們將薄荷、茴香、各樣蔬菜獻上十分之一，卻忽略了上帝的公義和仁愛。後者是你們本該做的，前者也不可忽略。
43 「法利賽人啊，你們有禍了！你們喜歡在會堂裡坐首位，又喜歡在街市上聽到別人的問候。 44 你們有禍了！因為你們就像沒有墓碑的墳墓，人們從上面走過也不知道。」
譴責律法教師
45 一位律法教師對耶穌說：「老師，你這話把我們也侮辱了！」
46 耶穌回答說：「你們這些律法教師也有禍了！你們把沉重難負的擔子放在別人肩上，自己卻連一根指頭也不肯動。
47 「你們有禍了，你們為先知修造墳墓，而他們正是被你們祖先殺害的！ 48 所以你們是見證人，你們讚同祖先的行為，因為他們殺了先知，你們為先知造墳墓。 49 因此，充滿智慧的上帝說，『我要差遣先知和使徒到他們那裡，有些要被殺害，有些要遭迫害』， 50-51 使創世以來，自亞伯一直到在祭壇和聖所之間被殺的撒迦利亞等眾先知的血債，都由這個世代承擔。我實在告訴你們，這些罪責都要由這個世代承擔。
52 「律法教師啊，你們有禍了！你們拿走了知識的鑰匙，自己不進去，還阻擋那些正要進去的人。」

Jesus' Teaching on Prayer(A)
11 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
2 Jesus said to them, “When you pray, say this:
‘Father:
May your holy name be honored;
may your Kingdom come.
3 Give us day by day the food we need.[a]
4 Forgive us our sins,
for we forgive everyone who does us wrong.
And do not bring us to hard testing.’”
5 And Jesus said to his disciples, “Suppose one of you should go to a friend's house at midnight and say, ‘Friend, let me borrow three loaves of bread. 6 A friend of mine who is on a trip has just come to my house, and I don't have any food for him!’ 7 And suppose your friend should answer from inside, ‘Don't bother me! The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can't get up and give you anything.’ 8 Well, what then? I tell you that even if he will not get up and give you the bread because you are his friend, yet he will get up and give you everything you need because you are not ashamed to keep on asking. 9 And so I say to you: Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For those who ask will receive, and those who seek will find, and the door will be opened to anyone who knocks. 11 Would any of you who are fathers give your son a snake when he asks for fish? 12 Or would you give him a scorpion when he asks for an egg? 13 As bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will the Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
Jesus and Beelzebul(B)
14 Jesus was driving out a demon that could not talk; and when the demon went out, the man began to talk. The crowds were amazed, 15 (C)but some of the people said, “It is Beelzebul, the chief of the demons, who gives him the power to drive them out.”
16 (D)Others wanted to trap Jesus, so they asked him to perform a miracle to show that God approved of him. 17 But Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he said to them, “Any country that divides itself into groups which fight each other will not last very long; a family divided against itself falls apart. 18 So if Satan's kingdom has groups fighting each other, how can it last? You say that I drive out demons because Beelzebul gives me the power to do so. 19 If this is how I drive them out, how do your followers drive them out? Your own followers prove that you are wrong! 20 No, it is rather by means of God's power that I drive out demons, and this proves that the Kingdom of God has already come to you.
21 “When a strong man, with all his weapons ready, guards his own house, all his belongings are safe. 22 But when a stronger man attacks him and defeats him, he carries away all the weapons the owner was depending on and divides up what he stole.
23 (E)“Anyone who is not for me is really against me; anyone who does not help me gather is really scattering.
The Return of the Evil Spirit(F)
24 “When an evil spirit goes out of a person, it travels over dry country looking for a place to rest. If it can't find one, it says to itself, ‘I will go back to my house.’ 25 So it goes back and finds the house clean and all fixed up. 26 Then it goes out and brings seven other spirits even worse than itself, and they come and live there. So when it is all over, that person is in worse shape than at the beginning.”
True Happiness
27 When Jesus had said this, a woman spoke up from the crowd and said to him, “How happy is the woman who bore you and nursed you!”
28 But Jesus answered, “Rather, how happy are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”
The Demand for a Miracle(G)
29 (H)As the people crowded around Jesus, he went on to say, “How evil are the people of this day! They ask for a miracle, but none will be given them except the miracle of Jonah. 30 (I)In the same way that the prophet Jonah was a sign for the people of Nineveh, so the Son of Man will be a sign for the people of this day. 31 (J)On the Judgment Day the Queen of Sheba will stand up and accuse the people of today, because she traveled all the way from her country to listen to King Solomon's wise teaching; and there is something here, I tell you, greater than Solomon. 32 (K)On the Judgment Day the people of Nineveh will stand up and accuse you, because they turned from their sins when they heard Jonah preach; and I assure you that there is something here greater than Jonah!
The Light of the Body(L)
33 (M)“No one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a bowl;[b] instead, it is put on the lampstand, so that people may see the light as they come in. 34 Your eyes are like a lamp for the body. When your eyes are sound, your whole body is full of light; but when your eyes are no good, your whole body will be in darkness. 35 Make certain, then, that the light in you is not darkness. 36 If your whole body is full of light, with no part of it in darkness, it will be bright all over, as when a lamp shines on you with its brightness.”
Jesus Accuses the Pharisees and the Teachers of the Law(N)
37 When Jesus finished speaking, a Pharisee invited him to eat with him; so he went in and sat down to eat. 38 The Pharisee was surprised when he noticed that Jesus had not washed before eating. 39 So the Lord said to him, “Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of your cup and plate, but inside you are full of violence and evil. 40 Fools! Did not God, who made the outside, also make the inside? 41 But give what is in your cups and plates to the poor, and everything will be ritually clean for you.
42 (O)“How terrible for you Pharisees! You give to God one tenth of the seasoning herbs, such as mint and rue and all the other herbs, but you neglect justice and love for God. These you should practice, without neglecting the others.
43 “How terrible for you Pharisees! You love the reserved seats in the synagogues and to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces. 44 How terrible for you! You are like unmarked graves which people walk on without knowing it.”
45 One of the teachers of the Law said to him, “Teacher, when you say this, you insult us too!”
46 Jesus answered, “How terrible also for you teachers of the Law! You put onto people's backs loads which are hard to carry, but you yourselves will not stretch out a finger to help them carry those loads. 47 How terrible for you! You make fine tombs for the prophets—the very prophets your ancestors murdered. 48 You yourselves admit, then, that you approve of what your ancestors did; they murdered the prophets, and you build their tombs. 49 For this reason the Wisdom of God said, ‘I will send them prophets and messengers; they will kill some of them and persecute others.’ 50 So the people of this time will be punished for the murder of all the prophets killed since the creation of the world, 51 (P)from the murder of Abel to the murder of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the Holy Place. Yes, I tell you, the people of this time will be punished for them all!
52 “How terrible for you teachers of the Law! You have kept the key that opens the door to the house of knowledge; you yourselves will not go in, and you stop those who are trying to go in!”
53 When Jesus left that place, the teachers of the Law and the Pharisees began to criticize him bitterly and ask him questions about many things, 54 trying to lay traps for him and catch him saying something wrong.
