教導門徒禱告
11 有一天，耶穌在某地禱告完畢，有個門徒對祂說：「主啊，請教導我們禱告，像約翰教他的門徒一樣。」
2 耶穌對他們說：「你們應該這樣禱告，
『天父，願人都尊崇你的聖名，
願你的國度降臨，
願你的旨意在地上成就，
就像在天上成就一樣[a]。
3 願你天天賜給我們日用的飲食。
4 求你饒恕我們的罪，
因為我們也饒恕那些虧欠我們的人。
不要讓我們遇見誘惑，
拯救我們脫離那惡者[b]。』」
5 耶穌又對他們說：「假設你在半夜跑去朋友家請求說，『朋友，請借給我三個餅吧， 6 因為有一位朋友遠道而來，我家沒有什麼可以招待他。』 7 那個人在屋裡應聲說，『請別打攪我，門已經鎖上了，我和孩子們也已經上床了，我不能起來給你拿餅。』
8 「我告訴你們，那人雖不念朋友之情，但是倘若你不肯甘休，繼續請求，他最終會起來滿足你的願望。
9 「我告訴你們，祈求，就會給你們；尋找，就會尋見；叩門，就會給你們開門。 10 因為凡祈求的，就得到；尋找的，就尋見；叩門的，就給他開門。
11 「你們中間做父親的，如果孩子要餅，你會給他石頭嗎？[c]要魚，你會給他蛇嗎？ 12 要雞蛋，你會給他蠍子嗎？ 13 你們雖然邪惡，尚且知道把好東西給兒女，天父豈不更要賜聖靈給那些求祂的人嗎？」
耶穌和別西卜
14 有一次，耶穌趕出一個使人啞巴的鬼。鬼一出去，啞巴就能說話了，大家都很驚奇。 15 有人卻說：「祂是靠鬼王別西卜趕鬼。」 16 還有些人想試探耶穌，要求祂行個神蹟證明自己是上帝派來的。
17 耶穌知道他們的心思，就說：「一個國內部自相紛爭，必然滅亡；一個家內部自相紛爭，必然崩潰。 18 同樣，若撒旦內部自相紛爭，牠的國怎能維持呢？你們說我是靠別西卜趕鬼， 19 若我是靠別西卜趕鬼，你們的子弟又是靠誰趕鬼呢？因此，他們要審判你們。 20 但若我是靠上帝的能力趕鬼，就是上帝的國已降臨在你們中間了。
21 「壯漢全副武裝地看守自己的住宅，他的財物會很安全。 22 但是，來了一個比他更強壯的人，把他制伏後，奪去他所依靠的武裝，並把他搶來的東西分給了人。 23 誰不與我為友，就是與我為敵；誰不和我一起收聚，就是故意拆散。
24 「有個污鬼離開了牠以前所附的人，在乾旱無水之地四處遊蕩，尋找安歇之處，卻沒有找到。於是牠說，『我要回到老地方。』 25 牠回去後，看見裡面打掃得又乾淨又整齊， 26 就去帶來了七個比自己更邪惡的鬼一起住在那裡。那人的下場比從前更慘了。」
誰更有福
27 耶穌說話的時候，人群中有個婦人高喊：「生你養你的人真有福啊！」
28 耶穌回答說：「但那聽了上帝的話又去遵行的人更有福。」
可悲的邪惡世代
29 這時聚集的人越來越多，耶穌說：「這是一個邪惡的世代，人們只想看神蹟，但除了約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他們看。 30 正如約拿成了尼尼微人的神蹟，人子也要成為這世代的神蹟。
31 「在審判的日子，南方的女王和這世代的人都要起來[d]，她要定這個世代的罪，因為她曾不遠千里來聽所羅門王的智言慧語。看啊！這裡有一位比所羅門王更偉大。
32 「在審判的日子，尼尼微人和這世代的人都要起來，尼尼微人要定這個世代的罪，因為他們聽到約拿的宣告，就悔改了。看啊！這裡有一位比約拿更偉大。
燈的比喻
33 「沒有人點了燈卻將它放在地窖裡或斗底下，人總是把燈放在燈臺上，讓進來的人可以看見光。 34 你的眼睛就是身體的燈，你的眼睛明亮，全身就光明；你的眼睛昏花，全身就黑暗。 35 因此要小心，不要讓你心裡的光變為黑暗。 36 如果你全身光明、毫無黑暗，你整個人就熠熠生輝，好像有燈光照在你身上。」
譴責法利賽人
37 耶穌說完這番話後，有一個法利賽人來請祂吃飯，祂便應邀入席。 38 這位法利賽人看見耶穌飯前沒有行猶太人洗手的禮儀，十分詫異。 39 主對他說：「你們法利賽人洗淨杯盤的外面，你們裡面卻充滿了貪婪和邪惡。 40 愚蠢的人啊，人裡外不都是上帝所創造的嗎？ 41 只要你們發自內心地去施捨，一切對你們都是潔淨的。
42 「法利賽人啊，你們有禍了！你們將薄荷、茴香、各樣蔬菜獻上十分之一，卻忽略了上帝的公義和仁愛。後者是你們本該做的，前者也不可忽略。
43 「法利賽人啊，你們有禍了！你們喜歡在會堂裡坐首位，又喜歡在街市上聽到別人的問候。 44 你們有禍了！因為你們就像沒有墓碑的墳墓，人們從上面走過也不知道。」
譴責律法教師
45 一位律法教師對耶穌說：「老師，你這話把我們也侮辱了！」
46 耶穌回答說：「你們這些律法教師也有禍了！你們把沉重難負的擔子放在別人肩上，自己卻連一根指頭也不肯動。
47 「你們有禍了，你們為先知修造墳墓，而他們正是被你們祖先殺害的！ 48 所以你們是見證人，你們讚同祖先的行為，因為他們殺了先知，你們為先知造墳墓。 49 因此，充滿智慧的上帝說，『我要差遣先知和使徒到他們那裡，有些要被殺害，有些要遭迫害』， 50-51 使創世以來，自亞伯一直到在祭壇和聖所之間被殺的撒迦利亞等眾先知的血債，都由這個世代承擔。我實在告訴你們，這些罪責都要由這個世代承擔。
52 「律法教師啊，你們有禍了！你們拿走了知識的鑰匙，自己不進去，還阻擋那些正要進去的人。」
53 耶穌離開那裡後，法利賽人和律法教師開始激烈地反對祂，用各種問題刁難祂， 54 伺機找把柄陷害祂。

11 有一天，耶稣在一个地方祈祷，祈祷完了，有一个门徒对他说：“主啊，求你教导我们祷告，像约翰教导他的门徒一样。” 2 耶稣说：“你们祷告的时候，要说：
‘父啊，愿你的名被尊为圣，
愿你的国降临（有些抄本在此有“愿你的旨意行在地上，如同行在天上”一句）；
3 我们需用的食物，
求你每天赐给我们；
4 赦免我们的罪，
因为我们也饶恕所有亏负我们的人；
不要让我们陷入试探（有些抄本在此有“救我们脱离那恶者”一句）。’”
5 耶稣又对他们说：“你们当中，谁有朋友半夜去找他，说：‘请你借给我三个饼， 6 因为我有一个朋友旅行来到我这里，我没有甚么可以招待他。’ 7 而他却在里面回答：‘不要麻烦我，门已经关好了，孩子也跟我在床上了，我不能起来拿给你。’ 8 我告诉你们，即使不因为他是朋友而起来给他，也会因为他厚颜地直求，而起来照他所需要的给他。 9 我又告诉你们，你们祈求，就给你们；寻找，就寻见；叩门，就给你们开门。 10 因为所有祈求的就得着，寻找的就寻见，叩门的就给他开门。 11 你们中间作父亲的，哪有儿子求鱼，反拿蛇当作鱼给他呢？ 12 或求鸡蛋，反给他蝎子呢？ 13 你们虽然不好，尚且知道把好东西给自己的儿女，何况天父，岂不更把圣灵赐给求他的人吗？”
耶稣靠 神的能力赶鬼(B)
14 耶稣赶出一个哑巴鬼，鬼既出去，哑巴就说起话来，众人都希奇。 15 有人说：“他靠鬼王别西卜赶鬼。” 16 又有人试探他，向他求一个从天上来的神迹。 17 耶稣知道他们的心意，就对他们说：“如果一个国家自相纷争，就必定荒凉；如果一个家庭自相为敌，就必然败落。 18 如果撒但自相纷争，他的国怎能站立得住呢？你们说我靠别西卜赶鬼， 19 我若靠别西卜赶鬼，你们的子孙赶鬼又靠谁呢？因此，他们必要作你们的审判官。 20 我若靠 神的能力赶鬼，这就是 神的国临到你们了。 21 一个壮汉拿着武器，看守自己的家园，他的家财就平安无事。 22 但是一个比他更强的人来了，胜过了他，夺去他所倚靠的武器，就把他的家财当作掠物分了。 23 不站在我这一边的就是反对我的；不跟从一起收聚的就是分散的。
污灵去而复返的教训(C)
24 “一个污灵离开了一个人，走遍干旱之地，寻找栖身的地方，却没有找到，就说：‘我要回到我从前离开了的那房子。’ 25 到了之后，看见里面已经打扫干净，粉饰好了， 26 他就去带了另外七个比自己更恶的污灵来，进去住在那里；那人后来的情况，比以前更坏了。”
约拿的神迹(D)
27 耶稣正说这些话的时候，群众中有一个女人高声对他说：“怀你胎的和哺养你的有福了！” 28 他说：“是的，却还不如听 神的道而遵守的人有福。” 29 众人聚集的时候，耶稣就说：“这世代是个邪恶的世代。这世代寻求神迹，可是除了约拿的神迹以外，再没有神迹给他们了。 30 约拿怎样成了尼尼微人的神迹，人子也照样成为这个世代的神迹。 31 审判的时候，南方的女王要和这世代的人一同起来，她要定他们的罪，因为她从地极来到，要听所罗门智慧的话。你看，这里有一位是比所罗门更大的。 32 审判的时候，尼尼微人要和这世代的人一同起来，他们要定这个世代的罪，因为尼尼微人听了约拿所传的就悔改了。你看，这里有一位是比约拿更大的。

33 “没有人点了灯，把它放在地窖里，或量器底下，却放在灯台上，叫进来的人看得见光。 34 你的眼睛就是你身体的灯，你的眼睛健全，全身就明亮；如果不健全，全身就黑暗。 35 所以要谨慎，免得你里面的光黑暗了。 36 你若全身明亮，没有一点黑暗，你就完全明亮，好象明亮的灯光照你一样。”
法利赛人和律法师有祸了(F)
37 耶稣说话的时候，有一个法利赛人请耶稣和他一起吃饭；他就进去坐席。 38 这个法利赛人见耶稣吃饭之前不洗手，觉得奇怪。 39 主对他说：“你们法利赛人把杯盘的外面洗净，但你们里面却充满了抢夺和邪恶。 40 无知的人哪，那造外面的，不也造里面吗？ 41 只要把里面的施舍出去，你们的一切就都洁净了。 42 然而你们法利赛人有祸了！因为你们把薄荷、茴香和各样菜蔬献上十分之一，却把公义和爱 神的事疏忽了；这些是你们应当作的，但其他的也不可疏忽。 43 你们法利赛人有祸了！因为你们喜爱会堂里的高位和人在巿中心的问安。 44 你们有祸了！因为你们好象不显露的坟墓，走在上面的人并不知道。”
45 律法师中有一个回答他：“老师，你这样说，把我们也侮辱了！” 46 耶稣说：“你们律法师也有祸了，因为你们把难担的担子叫人担，自己连一个指头也不动。 47 你们有祸了！因为你们修造先知的坟墓，而那些先知正是你们祖先所杀的， 48 这样，你们就成了证人，对你们祖先的作为表示同意；他们杀害先知，你们修造先知的坟墓。 49 所以， 神的智慧说：‘我要差遣先知和使徒到他们那里去，有的他们要杀害，有的他们要迫害， 50-51 为要使创世以来众先知所流的血，从亚伯的血起，直到在祭坛和圣所之间受害的撒迦利亚的血为止，都向这一代追讨。’是的，我告诉你们，都要向这一代追讨。 52 你们律法师有祸了！因为你们拿去知识的钥匙，自己不进去，又阻止要进去的人。” 53 耶稣从那里出来，经学家和法利赛人非常敌视他，质问他很多问题， 54 等机会从他的口中找把柄。

11 And it was done, when he was praying in a place [when he was praying in some place], as he ceased, one of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to pray, as [and] John taught his disciples.
2 And he said to them, When ye pray, say ye, Father [Father ours], hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come to; thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
3 Give to us to day our each day's bread.
4 And forgive to us our sins, as [and] we forgive to each man that oweth to us [as and we forgive to each owing to us]. And lead us not into temptation.
5 And he said to them, Who of you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight, and shall say to him, Friend, lend to me three loaves;
6 for my friend cometh to me from the way [for my friend cometh to me of the way], and I have not what I shall set before him.
7 And he withinforth answer and say, Do not thou be heavy to me; the door is now shut, and my children be with me in bed; I may not rise, and give to thee.
8 And if he shall dwell still knocking, I say to you, though he shall not rise, and give to him, for that that he is his friend, nevertheless for his continual asking he shall rise, and give to him [And if he shall continue knocking, I say to you, though he shall not give to him, for he is his friend, nevertheless for his improbity, or continual asking, he shall rise, and give to him], as many as he hath need to.
9 And I say to you, ask ye, and it shall be given to you; seek ye, and ye shall find; knock ye, and it shall be opened to you.
10 For each that asketh, taketh, and he that seeketh, findeth; and to a man that knocketh, it shall be opened.
11 Therefore who of you asketh his father bread, whether he shall give him a stone? or if he asketh fish, whether he shall give him a serpent for the fish?
12 or if he asketh an egg [or if he shall ask an egg], whether he shall areach him a scorpion?
13 Therefore if ye, when ye be evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more your Father of heaven shall give a good Spirit to men that ask him.
14 And Jesus was casting out a fiend [And he was casting out a fiend], and it was dumb. And when he had cast out the fiend, the dumb man spake; and the people wondered.
15 And some of them said, In Beelzebub, prince of devils, he casteth out devils.
16 And others tempting asked of him a token from heaven.
17 And as he saw the thoughts of them, he said to them, Every realm parted against itself, shall be desolate, and an house shall fall on an house.[a]
18 And if Satan be parted against himself, how shall his realm stand? For ye say, that I cast out fiends in Beelzebub.
19 And if I in Beelzebub cast out fiends, in whom cast out your sons [in whom your sons cast out]? Therefore they shall be your doomsmen.
20 But if I cast out fiends in the finger of God, then [soothly] the realm of God is come among you.
21 When a strong, armed man keepeth his house, all things that he wieldeth be in peace.
22 But if a stronger than he come upon him, and overcome him, he shall take away all his armour, in which he trusted, and shall deal abroad his robberies [and shall deal abroad his spoils, or robberies].
23 He that is not with me, is against me; and he that gathereth not together with me, scattereth abroad.
24 When an unclean spirit goeth out of a man, he wandereth by dry places, and seeketh rest [When an unclean spirit hath gone out of a man, he wandereth by dry places, seeking rest]; and he finding none, saith, I shall turn again into mine house, from whence I came out.
25 And when he cometh, he findeth it cleansed with besoms, and fair arrayed [and adorned].
26 Then he goeth, and taketh with him seven other spirits worse than himself, and they enter [in], and dwell there. And the last things of that man be made worse than the former.
27 And it was done, when he had said these things, a woman of the company raised [up] her voice, and said to him, Blessed be the womb that bare thee, and blessed be the teats that thou hast sucked.[b]
28 And he said, But yea blessed be they [And he said, Rather, blessed be they], that hear the word of God, and keep it.
29 And when the people ran together, he began to say, This generation is a wayward generation; it seeketh a token, and a token shall not be given to it, but the token of Jonas, the prophet.
30 For as Jonas was a token to men of Nineve, so man's Son shall be to this generation.
31 The queen of the south shall rise in doom with men of this generation, and shall condemn them; for she came from the ends of the earth, to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and lo! here is a greater than Solomon.
32 Men of Nineve shall rise in [the] doom with this generation, and shall condemn it; for they did penance in the preaching of Jonas [for they did penance at the preaching of Jonas], and lo! here is a greater than Jonas.
33 No man tendeth a lantern, and putteth it in huddles[c], neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they that go in, see light.
34 The lantern of thy body is thine eye; if thine eye be simple, all thy body shall be light[-full]; but if it be wayward, all thy body shall be dark-full.
35 Therefore see thou, lest the light that is in thee [lest the light which is in thee], be darknesses.
36 Therefore if all thy body be bright, and have no part of darknesses, it shall be all bright, and as a lantern of brightness it shall give light to thee. [Therefore if all thy body shall be light-full, not having any part of darknesses, it shall be all light-full, and as a lantern of brightness, or shining, it shall give light to thee.]
37 And when he spake, a Pharisee prayed him [some Pharisee prayed], that he should eat with him. And he entered, and sat to meat [And he gone in, sat at the meat].
38 And the Pharisee began to say, guessing within himself, why he was not washed before [the] meat.
39 And the Lord said to him, Now ye Pharisees cleanse that that is withoutforth of the cup and the platter; but that thing that is within of you [but that thing of you that is within], is full of raven and wickedness.
40 Fools, whether he that made that that is withoutforth, made not also that that is within?
41 Nevertheless that that is over-plus [Nevertheless that thing that is over, or superfluous], give ye alms, and lo! all things be clean to you.
42 But woe to you, Pharisees, that tithe mint, and rue, and each herb, and leave doom and the charity of God [that tithe mint, and rue, and all wort, or herb, and pass doom and the charity of God]. For it behooved to do these things, and not to leave those.
43 Woe to you, Pharisees, that love the first chairs in synagogues, and salutations in market [and salutations in markets].
44 Woe to you, that be as sepulchres, that be not seen [which appear not], and men walking above know not.
45 But one of the wise men of the law answered, and said to him, Master, thou saying these things, also to us doest despite. [Forsooth one of the wise men of law answering, said to him, Master, thou saying these things, doest despite also to us.]
46 And he said, Also woe to you, wise men of [the] law, for ye charge men with burdens which they be not able to bear [for ye charge men with burdens which they may not bear], and ye yourselves with your one finger touch not the heavinesses.
47 Woe to you, that build tombs of prophets [Woe to you, that build burials, or tombs, of prophets]; and your fathers slew them.
48 Truly ye witness, that ye consent to the works of your fathers; for [soothly] they slew them, but ye build their sepulchres.
49 Therefore [and] the wisdom of God said, I shall send to them prophets and apostles, and of them they shall slay and pursue,
50 that the blood of all [the] prophets, that was shed from the making of the world [that was shed out from the beginning of the world], be sought of this generation;
51 from the blood of just Abel to the blood of Zacharias that was slain betwixt the altar and the house[d]. So I say to you, it shall be sought of this generation.
52 Woe to you, wise men of the law [wise men of law], for ye have taken away the key of knowing; and ye yourselves entered not [ye yourselves entered not in], and ye have forbidden them that entered.
53 And when he said these things to them, the Pharisees and wise men of the law [wise men of law] began grievously to against-stand [him], and [to] stop his mouth of many things,
54 ambushing him, and seeking to take something of his mouth, to accuse him [that they should accuse him].
