²⁷耶穌正說這些話的時候，群眾中有一個女人高聲對他說：“懷你胎的和哺養你的有福了！” ²⁸他說：“是的，卻還不如聽　神的道而遵守的人有福。” ²⁹眾人聚集的時候，耶穌就說：“這世代是個邪惡的世代。這世代尋求神蹟，可是除了約拿的神蹟以外，再沒有神蹟給他們了。

²⁷As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.”^(A)

²⁸He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God^(B) and obey it.”^(C)

²⁹As the crowds increased, Jesus said, “This is a wicked generation. It asks for a sign,^(E) but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah.^(F)
