⁷⁹照亮那些坐在黑暗
和死亡陰影中的人，
引導我們的腳步進入平安^[a]之路。」

⁸⁰那孩子漸漸長大，靈裡剛強。他住在曠野，直到他向以色列公開出現的那天。

⁷⁹^(A)To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death,
To ^(B)guide our feet into the way of peace.”

⁸⁰So ^(C)the child grew and became strong in spirit, and ^(D)was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel.

⁷⁹to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,^(A)
to guide our feet into the path of peace.”^(B)

⁸⁰And the child grew and became strong in spirit^[a];^(C) and he lived in the wilderness until he appeared publicly to Israel.
