⁷⁹照亮那些坐在黑暗
和死亡陰影中的人，
引導我們的腳步進入平安^[a]之路。」

⁸⁰那孩子漸漸長大，靈裡剛強。他住在曠野，直到他向以色列公開出現的那天。

⁷⁹照亮那些生活在黑暗中和死亡阴影下的人，
带领我们走平安的道路。”

⁸⁰那孩子渐渐长大，心灵强健，在向以色列人公开露面之前，一直住在旷野。

⁷⁹to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,^(A)
to guide our feet into the path of peace.”^(B)

⁸⁰And the child grew and became strong in spirit^[a];^(C) and he lived in the wilderness until he appeared publicly to Israel.

⁷⁹To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

⁸⁰And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.
