Dieu vient juger le monde
98 Psaume.
Chantez à l’Eternel ╵un cantique nouveau
car il accomplit des prodiges.
Par sa puissance, ╵par son pouvoir divin, ╵il a remporté la victoire.
2 L’Eternel fait connaître son salut ;
aux yeux des autres peuples, ╵il a révélé sa justice.
3 L’Eternel a manifesté ╵son amour fidèle envers Israël.
Jusqu’au bout de la terre,
on a vu le salut ╵que notre Dieu a accompli.
4 Acclame l’Eternel, ╵ô terre tout entière,
poussez des cris de joie ╵et d’allégresse ╵au son de la musique !
5 Célébrez l’Eternel ╵avec la lyre,
oui, au son de la lyre, ╵et par vos chants !
6 Au son de la trompette ╵et aux accents du cor[a],
éclatez en acclamations ╵en présence de l’Eternel, le Roi !
7 Que la mer retentisse ╵et tout ce qui la peuple !
Que l’univers résonne ╵avec ses habitants !
8 Que les rivières ╵battent des mains,
que les montagnes, ╵à l’unisson, ╵chantent de joie,
9 aux yeux de l’Eternel, ╵car il vient gouverner[b] la terre !
Oui, il gouvernera le monde ╵selon ce qui est juste,
et il gouvernera les peuples ╵selon ce qui est droit.

- 98.6 La trompette droite en argent était utilisée par les seuls prêtres ; c’est la seule mention de cet instrument dans les Psaumes. Le cor était fait d’une corne de bélier (cf. 47.6 ; 81.4 ; 150.3). Cor et clameur retentissaient à la guerre (Jos 6.1-5) et dans les cérémonies religieuses (Nb 29.1). Ils annonçaient aussi le Règne de Dieu (So 1.16).

A psalm.
1 Sing to the Lord(A) a new song,(B)
for he has done marvelous things;(C)
his right hand(D) and his holy arm(E)
have worked salvation(F) for him.
2 The Lord has made his salvation known(G)
and revealed his righteousness(H) to the nations.(I)
3 He has remembered(J) his love
and his faithfulness to Israel;
all the ends of the earth(K) have seen
the salvation of our God.(L)
4 Shout for joy(M) to the Lord, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the Lord with the harp,(N)
with the harp and the sound of singing,(O)
6 with trumpets(P) and the blast of the ram’s horn(Q)—
shout for joy(R) before the Lord, the King.(S)
7 Let the sea(T) resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.(U)
8 Let the rivers clap their hands,(V)
let the mountains(W) sing together for joy;
9 let them sing before the Lord,
for he comes to judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness
and the peoples with equity.(X)

98 O sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2 The Lord hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3 He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
5 Sing unto the Lord with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King.
7 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
8 Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
9 Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

3 Да восхвалят они Твое великое и грозное имя:

4 Царь могуществен и любит справедливость.
Ты установил правосудие;
суд и правду совершил в Иакове.
5 Превозносите Господа, нашего Бога,
и поклонитесь Ему у подножия[a] Его: свят Он!
6 Моисей и Аарон среди Его священников,
и Самуил среди призывающих имя Его.
Они призывали Господа,
и Он ответил им.
7 В облачном столпе говорил Он к ним;
они сохранили Его повеления[b]
и установления, которые Он им дал.
8 Ты ответил им, о Господи, наш Боже;
Ты был для них Богом прощающим,
но и наказывал их за проступки.
9 Превозносите Господа, нашего Бога
