Psalm 93

The Eternal Reign of the Lord
93 The (A)Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty;
The Lord is clothed,
(B)He has girded Himself with strength.
Surely the world is established, so that it cannot be [a]moved.
2 (C)Your throne is established from of old;
You are from everlasting.
3 The floods have [b]lifted up, O Lord,
The floods have lifted up their voice;
The floods lift up their waves.
4 (D)The Lord on high is mightier
Than the noise of many waters,
Than the mighty waves of the sea.
5 Your testimonies are very sure;
Holiness adorns Your house,
O Lord, [c]forever.

93 De Here is de grote Koning,
Hij is bekleed met koninklijke waardigheid.
Zijn gordel is kracht.
De wereld kan niet wankelen
als God haar beschermt.
2 Al van eeuwigheid af regeert U op uw troon,
deze staat vast gefundeerd.
3 Here, het water bruist,
het laat zijn stem horen
en zingt bruisend tot uw eer.
4 En boven het daverende geluid
van al dat water, van al die zeeën,
is de grootheid van de Here zichtbaar.
5 Alles wat U zegt, is waar.
Wij kunnen U vertrouwen.
Alles aan U is heilig als een waardevol sieraad.
Dat blijft zo tot in eeuwigheid, Here.
