称颂 神的公正与慈爱
诗一首，安息日的歌。
92 称谢耶和华，
歌颂你至高者的名；
2 早晨传扬你的慈爱，
夜间传讲你的信实；
3 弹奏十弦的乐器和瑟，
又用琴弹出美妙的声音，
这是多么美的事（“这是多么美的事”原文是在第1节；第1至第3节是一个整体）。
4 耶和华啊！你借着你的作为使我欢喜，
我要因你手的工作欢呼。
5 耶和华啊！你的工作多么伟大，
你的心思极为深奥。
6 无理性的人不晓得，
愚昧的人不明白这事：
7 恶人虽好象草一样繁茂，
所有作孽的人虽然兴旺，
他们都要永远灭亡。
8 但你耶和华永远是至高的。
9 耶和华啊！你的仇敌必灭亡，
你的仇敌必定灭亡；
所有作孽的都必被分散。
10 你却高举了我的角，像野牛的角；
你用新油膏抹我。
11 我亲眼看见那些窥伺我的人遭报，
我亲耳听见那些起来攻击我的恶人受罚。
12 义人必像棕树一样繁茂，
像黎巴嫩的香柏树一样高耸。
13 他们栽在耶和华的殿中，
在我们 神的院子里繁茂生长。
14 他们年老的时候仍要结果子，
经常保持茂盛青翠，
15 好显明耶和华是正直的；
他是我的盘石，在他里面没有不义。

92 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:
2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.
4 For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
5 O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.
6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
8 But thou, Lord, art most high for evermore.
9 For, lo, thine enemies, O Lord, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
11 Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
15 To shew that the Lord is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

1 Een lied voor de heilige rustdag.
2 Het is goed om U te prijzen,
liederen te zingen voor U, de Allerhoogste God!
3 Laten we van de vroege ochtend tot de late avond
over uw liefde en trouw vertellen
4 Laten we elke dag muziek voor U maken
op de harp en de citer.
5 Want ik ben blij over wat U heeft gedaan.
Ik zal daarover juichen.
6 Wat doet U geweldige dingen, Heer.
En wat heeft U diepe gedachten!
7 Iemand die niet met U leeft, begrijpt ze niet.
Een dwaas kan er niets van begrijpen.
8 Het lijkt alsof het altijd goed gaat
met de mensen die zich niets van U aantrekken.
Ze groeien zo snel als gras.
Ze groeien en bloeien.
Maar uiteindelijk worden ze voor altijd vernietigd.
9 U bent de Allerhoogste God.
Heer, U regeert voor eeuwig.
10 Maar met uw vijanden loopt het slecht af.
Ze zullen uiteen worden gejaagd en worden vernietigd.
11 Maar met mij gaat het goed
en in U ben ik zo sterk als een stier.
U verfrist mij en geeft mij kracht.
12 Ik ben niet bang voor de mensen die op me loeren.
Ik hoor zonder angst dat ik vijanden heb.
13 Als je leeft zoals God het wil, zal het goed met je gaan.
Je zal groeien als een palmboom,
hoog worden als een cederboom op de Libanon.
14 Je bent dan geplant
op het voorplein van het heiligdom van onze God.
15 Zelfs als je oud bent geworden,
zullen er nog vruchten aan je groeien.
Je zal nog steeds fris en groen zijn.
16 Aan jou zal te zien zijn dat de Heer eerlijk en rechtvaardig is.
Je kan op Hem vertrouwen.
Hij is nooit oneerlijk.

And to (B)sing praises to Your name, Most High;
2 To (C)declare Your goodness in the morning
And Your (D)faithfulness by [a]night,
3 [b]With the (E)ten-stringed lute and [c]with the (F)harp,
[d]With resounding music on the (G)lyre.
4 For You, Lord, have made me joyful by [e]what You (H)have done,
I will (I)sing for joy over the (J)works of Your hands.
5 How (K)great are Your works, Lord!
Your [f](L)thoughts are very (M)deep.
6 A (N)stupid person has no knowledge,
Nor does a (O)foolish person understand this:
7 When the wicked (P)sprouted up like grass
And all (Q)who did injustice flourished,
It was only that they might be (R)destroyed forevermore.
8 But You, Lord, are (S)on high forever.
9 For, behold, Your enemies, Lord,
