Oración de Moisés Varón de Dios.
1 Señor, tú nos has sido refugio de generación en generación.
2 Antes que nacieran los montes y formaran la tierra y el mundo, y desde el siglo y hasta el siglo, tú eres Dios.
3 Vuelves al hombre hasta ser quebrantado, y dices: Convertíos, hijos de Adán.
4 Porque mil años delante de tus ojos, son como el día de ayer, que pasó, y como la vela de la noche.
5 Los haces pasar como avenida de aguas; son como sueño; a la mañana está fuerte como la hierba,
6 que a la mañana florece, y crece; a la tarde es cortada, y se seca.
7 ¶ Porque con tu furor somos consumidos, y con tu ira somos conturbados.
8 Pusiste nuestras iniquidades delante de ti, nuestros yerros a la lumbre de tu rostro.
9 Porque todos nuestros días declinan a causa de tu ira; acabamos nuestros años según la palabra.
10 Los días de nuestra edad son setenta años; y de los más valientes, ochenta años, y su fortaleza es molestia y trabajo; porque es cortado presto, y volamos.
11 ¿Quién conoce la fortaleza de tu ira? Que tu ira no es menor que nuestro temor.
12 ¶ Para contar nuestros días haznos saber así, y traeremos al corazón sabiduría.
13 Vuélvete a nosotros, oh SEÑOR: ¿hasta cuándo? Y aplácate para con tus esclavos.
14 Sácianos de mañana de tu misericordia; y cantaremos, y nos alegraremos todos nuestros días.
15 Alégranos conforme a los días que nos afligiste, y los años en que vimos el mal.
16 Aparezca en tus esclavos tu obra, y tu gloria sobre sus hijos.
17 Y sea la hermosura del SEÑOR nuestro Dios sobre nosotros; y enderezca sobre nosotros la obra de nuestras manos, la obra de nuestras manos enderezca.

90 Deze psalm is een gebed van Mozes, de vriend van God.
Here,
van generatie op generatie
hebben wij onze hulp en kracht bij U gezocht.
2 Al voordat U de bergen schiep,
was U God.
Voordat U de aarde schiep,
was U God.
Vanuit de eeuwigheid van oudsher
tot in de eeuwigheid in de verre toekomst,
bent U God.
3 U laat de mens sterven
en vergaan tot stof.
U zegt:
‘Word weer stof, mensenkinderen.’
4 Duizend jaar
betekenen niets voor U,
zij zijn voor U
als wat een dag is voor ons,
voor U zijn ze
in een oogwenk voorbij.
5 Jaren gaan aan U voorbij
als een kort moment van insluimeren
bij het ontwaken ʼs morgens,
als gras dat snel groeit.
6 ʼs Morgens groeit en bloeit het nog
en ʼs avonds verdort het alweer.
7 Precies zo vergaat het ons
als uw toorn over ons komt.
Deze vernietigt ons.
8 U ziet onze zonden scherp voor U.
Onze meest verborgen zonden
komen bij U aan het licht.
9 Zo eindigt ons leven
onder uw boosheid.
De jaren van ons leven
gaan als een zucht voorbij.
10 Onze gemiddelde leeftijd
is zeventig jaar.
Alleen de zeer sterke mensen
worden tachtig jaar.
Alles waarop wij trots waren,
blijkt toch alleen maar moeite en verdriet
met zich mee te brengen.
Het leven vliegt voorbij
en voor we het weten
zijn we gestorven.
11 Wie kent de kracht van uw toorn
en de omvang van uw ergernis?
12 O God, leer ons zo te leven
dat wij ons uiteindelijk
de wijsheid eigen maken.
13 Kom toch terug, Here!
Hoe lang moet het nog duren?
Heb toch medelijden met uw dienaren.
14 Laat ons ʼs morgens vroeg al
uw goedheid en liefde mogen ervaren,
dan zullen wij juichen
en elke dag met blijdschap beleven.
15 Geef ons blijdschap naar de mate
waarin wij moeite en verdriet hebben gekend.
Zovele jaren waren vol zorg en verdrukking.
16 Laat uw dienaren uw werken zien,
ik bid dat hun kinderen
uw majesteit mogen aanschouwen.
17 Here, onze God,
stort uw liefdevolle vriendelijkheid over ons uit.
Zegen het werk dat wij doen.
Ja, wij bidden U om uw zegen
over alles wat wij ondernemen.

Psalm 90
A prayer of Moses the man of God.
1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place(A)
throughout all generations.
2 Before the mountains were born(B)
or you brought forth the whole world,
from everlasting to everlasting(C) you are God.(D)
3 You turn people back to dust,
saying, “Return to dust, you mortals.”(E)
4 A thousand years in your sight
are like a day that has just gone by,
or like a watch in the night.(F)
5 Yet you sweep people away(G) in the sleep of death—
they are like the new grass of the morning:
6 In the morning it springs up new,
but by evening it is dry and withered.(H)
7 We are consumed by your anger
and terrified by your indignation.
8 You have set our iniquities before you,
our secret sins(I) in the light of your presence.(J)
9 All our days pass away under your wrath;
we finish our years with a moan.(K)
10 Our days may come to seventy years,(L)
or eighty,(M) if our strength endures;
yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow,(N)
for they quickly pass, and we fly away.(O)
11 If only we knew the power of your anger!
Your wrath(P) is as great as the fear that is your due.(Q)
12 Teach us to number our days,(R)
that we may gain a heart of wisdom.(S)
13 Relent, Lord! How long(T) will it be?
Have compassion on your servants.(U)
14 Satisfy(V) us in the morning with your unfailing love,(W)
that we may sing for joy(X) and be glad all our days.(Y)
15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us,
for as many years as we have seen trouble.
16 May your deeds be shown to your servants,
your splendor to their children.(Z)
