求 神按他的信实施慈爱
以斯拉人以探的训诲诗。
89 我要永远歌唱耶和华的慈爱，
世世代代用口传扬你的信实。
2 我要说：“你的慈爱必永远建立；
你的信实，你必坚立在天上。
3 你曾说：‘我和我所拣选的人立了约，
向我的仆人大卫起了誓，说：
4 我必永远坚立你的后裔，
也必世世代代建立你的王位。’”（细拉）
5 耶和华啊！诸天要称颂你的奇事；
在圣者的会中，你的信实也要被称颂。
6 在天上，谁能和耶和华相比呢？
在全能者的众子中，谁能像耶和华呢？
7 在圣者的议会中， 神是令人惊惧的，
比一切在他周围的都更为可畏。
8 耶和华万军之 神啊！有谁像你？
耶和华啊！你是大能的，你的信实在你的周围。
9 你管辖海洋的狂涛，
波浪翻腾的时候，你使它们平息。
10 你打碎了拉哈伯，好象已遭刺杀的人；
你用有力的膀臂，赶散了你的仇敌。
11 天是你的，地也是你的；
世界和世界充满的，都是你建立的。
12 南北都是你创造的，
他泊和黑门都因你的名欢呼。
13 你有大能的膀臂，
你的手强而有力，你的右手高举。
14 公义和公正是你宝座的基础，
慈爱和信实行在你前面。
15 晓得向你欢呼的人民是有福的，
耶和华啊！他们在你的脸光中行走。
16 他们因你的名终日欢呼，
因你的公义被高举。
17 因为你是他们的荣耀和力量；
因你的恩惠，我们的角得以高举。
18 因为我们的盾牌是耶和华，
我们的君王是以色列的圣者。
19 那时，你在异象中告诉你的圣民说：
“我帮助了一位勇士，
我从民中兴起了一位青年（“我从民中兴起了一位青年”或译：“我兴起那从民中所拣选的”）。
20 我找到我的仆人大卫，
用我的圣膏油膏他。
21 我的手必坚立他，
我的膀臂必坚固他。
22 仇敌必不能欺骗他，
凶恶的人必不能压迫他。
23 我要在他的面前击碎他的敌人，
击杀那些恨他的人。
24 我的信实和慈爱必与他同在，
他的角必因我的名被高举。
25 我必使他的左手伸到大海，
使他的右手伸到大河。
26 他必呼叫我，说：‘你是我的父、我的 神、拯救我的盘石。’
27 我也要立他为长子，
为世上最高的君王。
28 我要永远保持我对他的慈爱，
我和他所立的约必坚立。
29 我要使他的后裔存到永远，
使他的王位好象天一样长久。
30 如果他的子孙离弃我的律法，
不照着我的典章而行；
31 如果他们违背我的律例，
不遵守我的诫命，
32 我就用杖责罚他们的过犯，
用鞭责罚他们的罪孽。
33 但我必不把我的慈爱从他身上收回，
也必不背弃我的信实。
34 我必不违背我的约，
也不改变我口中所出的话。
35 我断然指着自己的圣洁起誓，说：
‘我决不向大卫说谎。
36 他的后裔必存到永远，
他的王位在我面前必像太阳长存，
37 又像月亮永远坚立，
作天上确实的见证。’”

38 你却恼怒你的受膏者，
丢掉弃绝他。
39 你舍弃了和你仆人所立的约，
把他的冠冕玷污在地。
40 你拆毁了他的一切城墙，
使他的堡垒成废堆。
41 过路的都抢掠他，
他成了邻国的人羞辱的对象。
42 你高举了他敌人的右手，
使他所有的仇敌欢喜。
43 你使他的刀剑卷刃，
使他在战场上站立不住。
44 你使他的光辉消失，
把他的王位推翻（“推翻”原文作“推倒在地”）。
45 你减少了他青春的日子，
使他披上耻辱。（细拉）
46 耶和华啊！这要到几时呢？
你要永远隐藏自己吗？
你的烈怒像火一般焚烧，要到几时呢？
47 求你记念我的一生多么短暂，
你创造的世人是多么虚幻呢！
48 有哪一个人能长活不死，
能救自己的性命脱离阴间的权势呢？（细拉）
49 主啊！你从前指着你的信实向大卫起誓要施的慈爱，
现今在哪里呢？
50 主啊！求你记念你仆人所受的羞辱，
记念我心里（“我心里”原文作“我在我的怀里”）承担着万民的羞辱。
51 耶和华啊！你的仇敌用这羞辱羞辱了你的仆人，
羞辱了你受膏者的脚踪。
52 耶和华是应当称颂的，直到永远！

89 En visdomssang af ezraitten Etan.
2 Herre, jeg vil altid synge om din nåde,
tale om din trofasthed fra slægt til slægt.
3 Din nåde forandres aldrig,
din trofasthed kan umuligt høre op.
4 „Jeg har sluttet pagt med min udvalgte,
højtideligt lovet min tjener David,
5 at jeg altid vil tage vare på hans slægt
og bygge ham en evig trone.”
6 Englene lovpriser dine undere, Herre,
himmelske skarer synger om din trofasthed.
7 Er der nogen, der kan sammenlignes med Gud?
Hvem af englene kan måle sig med ham?
8 Den himmelske forsamling skælver foran dig,
alle omkring dig bøjer sig i ærefrygt.
9 Hvem er som du, almægtige Gud?
Altid er du omgivet af din trofasthed.
10 Du hersker over det oprørte hav,
du befaler over de brusende bølger.
11 Du knuste Rahab, det stolte uhyre,
du fejede dine fjender langt væk.
12 Himlen er din, jorden tilhører dig,
du skabte dem med alt, hvad de rummer.
13 Du skabte både nord og syd.
Tabor og Hermon priser dig med glæde.
14 Din arm er umådelig stærk,

15 Din trone er bygget på retfærdighed,

16 Lykkelige er de, som lovsynger dig,
de lever i lyset af dit nærvær.
17 De glæder sig over dig dagen lang,

18 Du er grunden til deres styrke,
vi sejrer på grund af din nåde og accept.
19 Vor konge[a] er indsat af Herren,
Israels almægtige Gud udvalgte ham.
20 Du sagde engang i et syn til din profet:
„Jeg har valgt at støtte en ung helt,
udvalgt en konge blandt almindelige mennesker.
21 Jeg udtog David som min tjener,
salvede ham med olie til konge.
22 Min hånd skal altid støtte ham,
min arm give ham styrke.
23 Hans fjender kan ikke få ram på ham,
de onde kan ikke overmande ham.
24 Jeg vil selv gøre det af med hans fjender,
jeg tilintetgør dem, der hader ham.
25 Min trofaste kærlighed følger ham altid,
han får styrke ved at stole på mig.
26 Jeg giver ham magt over havet,
han skal herske over floderne.
27 Han skal kalde mig ‚Far’ og ‚Gud’
og ‚Redningsmand’.
28 Jeg vil gøre ham til min førstefødte søn,
den mægtigste konge på jorden.

du har udøst din vrede over mig.
40 Du har svigtet pagten med din tjener,
du har kastet min kongekrone i støvet.
41 Du har nedbrudt vore forsvarsmure,
lagt vore fæstninger i ruiner.
42 Alle, der kommer forbi, udplyndrer os,

89 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?
7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
8 O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
10 Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
11 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
12 The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.
16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
18 For the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
19 Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
38 But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
39 Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
40 Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.
41 All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
42 Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
43 Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
44 Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
45 The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
46 How long, Lord? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
47 Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
48 What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
49 Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
50 Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;

1 I will sing(A) of the Lord’s great love forever;
with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known(B)
through all generations.
2 I will declare that your love stands firm forever,
that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.(C)
3 You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one,
I have sworn to David my servant,
4 ‘I will establish your line forever
and make your throne firm through all generations.’”[c](D)
5 The heavens(E) praise your wonders, Lord,
your faithfulness too, in the assembly(F) of the holy ones.
6 For who in the skies above can compare with the Lord?
Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings?(G)
7 In the council(H) of the holy ones(I) God is greatly feared;
he is more awesome than all who surround him.(J)
8 Who is like you,(K) Lord God Almighty?(L)
You, Lord, are mighty, and your faithfulness surrounds you.
9 You rule over the surging sea;
when its waves mount up, you still them.(M)
10 You crushed Rahab(N) like one of the slain;

surely my arm will strengthen him.(AJ)
22 The enemy will not get the better of him;(AK)

and I will not lie to David—
36 that his line will continue forever

38 But you have rejected,(BD) you have spurned,
you have been very angry with your anointed one.
39 You have renounced the covenant with your servant
and have defiled his crown in the dust.(BE)
40 You have broken through all his walls(BF)
and reduced his strongholds(BG) to ruins.
41 All who pass by have plundered(BH) him;
he has become the scorn of his neighbors.(BI)
42 You have exalted the right hand of his foes;
you have made all his enemies rejoice.(BJ)
43 Indeed, you have turned back the edge of his sword
and have not supported him in battle.(BK)
44 You have put an end to his splendor
and cast his throne to the ground.
45 You have cut short(BL) the days of his youth;
you have covered him with a mantle of shame.(BM)
46 How long, Lord? Will you hide yourself forever?
How long will your wrath burn like fire?(BN)
47 Remember how fleeting is my life.(BO)
For what futility you have created all humanity!
48 Who can live and not see death,
or who can escape the power of the grave?(BP)
49 Lord, where is your former great love,
which in your faithfulness you swore to David?
50 Remember, Lord, how your servant has[g] been mocked,(BQ)
how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the nations,
51 the taunts with which your enemies, Lord, have mocked,
with which they have mocked every step of your anointed one.(BR)
52 Praise be to the Lord forever!
