诗篇 89

Psalm 89
International Children’s Bible
A Song About God’s Loyalty
A maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite.
89 I will always sing about the Lord’s love.
I will tell of his loyalty from now on.
2 I will say, “Your love continues forever.
Your loyalty goes on and on like the sky.”
3 You said, “I made an agreement with the man of my choice.
I made a promise to my servant David.
4 I told him, ‘I will make your family continue forever.
Your kingdom will continue from now on.’” Selah
5 Lord, the heavens praise you for your miracles
and for your loyalty in the meeting of your holy ones.
6 Who in heaven is equal to the Lord?
None of the angels is like the Lord.
7 When the holy ones meet, it is God they fear.
He is more frightening than all who surround him.
8 Lord God of heaven’s armies, who is like you?
Lord, you are powerful and completely to be trusted.
9 You rule the mighty sea.
You calm the stormy waves.
10 You crushed the sea monster Rahab.
By your power you scattered your enemies.
11 The skies and the earth belong to you.
You made the world and everything in it.
12 You created the north and the south.
Mount Tabor and Mount Hermon sing for joy at your name.
13 Your arm has great power.
Your hand is strong. Your right hand is lifted up.
14 Your kingdom is built on what is right and fair.
Love and truth are in all you do.
15 Happy are the people who know how to praise you.
Lord, let them live in the light of your presence.
16 In your name they rejoice all the time.
They praise your goodness.
17 You are their glorious strength.
In your kindness you honor our king.
18 Our king, our shield, belongs to the Lord.
Our king belongs to the Holy One of Israel.
19 Once, in a vision, you spoke
to those who worship you.
You said, “I have given strength to a warrior.
I have selected a young man from my people.
20 I have found my servant David.
I appointed him by pouring holy oil on him.
21 I will steady him with my hand.
I will strengthen him with my arm.
22 No enemy will make him give forced payments.
Wicked people will not defeat him.
23 I will crush his enemies in front of him.
I will defeat those who hate him.
24 My loyalty and love will be with him.
Through me he will be strong.
25 I will give him power over the sea
and control over the rivers.
26 He will say to me, ‘You are my father,
my God, the Rock, the one who saves me.’
27 I will make him my firstborn son.
He will be the greatest king on earth.
28 My love will watch over him forever.
My agreement with him will never end.
29 I will make his family continue.
His kingdom will last as long as the skies.
30 “But his descendants might reject my teachings
and not follow my rules.
31 They might break my laws
and disobey my commands.
32 Then I will punish their sins with a rod
and their wrongs with a whip.
33 But I will not hold back my love from David.
I will not stop being loyal.
34 I will not break my agreement.
I will not change what I have said.
35 It is certain that I am a holy God.
So it is certain I will not lie to David.
36 His family will continue forever.
His kingdom will continue before me like the sun.
37 It will last forever, like the moon,
like a lasting witness in the sky.” Selah
38 But now, you have rejected your appointed king.
You have been angry with him.
39 You have broken the agreement with your servant.
You threw his crown to the ground.
40 You have torn down all the city walls.
You have turned his strong, walled cities into ruins.
41 Everyone who passes by steals from him.
His neighbors insult him.
42 You have given strength to his enemies.
You have made them all happy.
43 You have made his sword useless.
You did not help him stand in battle.
44 You have kept him from winning.
You threw his throne to the ground.
45 You have cut his life short.
You have covered him with shame. Selah
46 Lord, how long will this go on?
Will you ignore us forever?
How long will your anger burn like a fire?
47 Remember how short my life is.
Why did you create us anyway?
48 What man alive will not die?
Can he escape the grave? Selah
49 Lord, where is your love from times past?
With loyalty you promised it to David.
50 Lord, remember how they insulted your servant.
Remember how I have suffered the insults of the nations.
51 Lord, remember how your enemies insulted you.
Remember how they insulted your appointed king wherever he went.
52 Praise the Lord forever!
Amen and amen.
Psalm 89
King James Version
89 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O Lord: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the Lord? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the Lord?
7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
8 O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
10 Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
11 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
12 The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance.
16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
18 For the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
19 Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
38 But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
39 Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
40 Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.
41 All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
42 Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
43 Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
44 Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
45 The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
46 How long, Lord? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
47 Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
48 What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
49 Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
50 Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;
51 Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O Lord; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
52 Blessed be the Lord for evermore. Amen, and Amen.

Herrens löfte till David
89 (A) En vishetspsalm av esraiten Etan.[a]
2 (B) Jag vill sjunga om Herrens
nådegärningar för evigt,
med min mun
förkunna din trofasthet
från släkte till släkte.
3 (C) Jag säger:
För evigt är din nåd befäst,
i himlen är din trofasthet
grundad.
4 "Jag har slutit förbund
med min utvalde,
gett min ed till min tjänare David:[b]
5 (D) Jag ska låta din ätt bestå för evigt
och bygga din tron
från släkte till släkte." Sela
6 (E) Himlarna prisar dina under, Herre,
och din trofasthet
i de heligas församling.
7 Vem i skyn kan jämföras
med Herren?
Vem bland Guds söner kan liknas
vid Herren?
8 Gud är fruktad i de heligas råd,
stor och mer vördad
än alla omkring honom.
9 Herre Gud Sebaot,
vem är som du?
Stark är du, Herre,
och din trofasthet omger dig.
10 (F) Du råder över det stolta havet,
när dess vågor reser sig
stillar du dem.
11 (G) Du krossade Rahab som en slagen,
du skingrade dina fiender
med din mäktiga arm.
12 (H) Din är himlen,
din är också jorden.
Du har grundat världen
med allt vad den rymmer.
13 Nord och syd har du skapat,
Tabor och Hermon
jublar i ditt namn.
14 Du har en arm med kraft,
din hand är mäktig,
din högra hand är upphöjd.
15 (I) Rätt och rättfärdighet
är grunden för din tron,
nåd och sanning
står inför ditt ansikte.
16 (J) Saligt är det folk
som vet vad jubel är!
Herre, de vandrar
i ditt ansiktes ljus.
17 I ditt namn jublar de ständigt,
i din rättfärdighet upphöjs de,
18 för du är deras styrka
och härlighet,
i din nåd upphöjer du vårt horn.
19 (K) Ja, vår sköld tillhör Herren,
vår kung tillhör Israels Helige.
20 (L) Du talade en gång i en syn
till dina trogna och sade:
"Jag har sänt hjälp
genom en hjälte,
jag har upphöjt en yngling[c]
ur folket.
21 (M) Jag har funnit min tjänare David
och smort honom
med min heliga olja.
22 Min hand ska stödja honom,
min arm ska styrka honom.
23 Ingen fiende ska plundra honom,
ingen orättfärdig
ska förtrycka honom.
24 Jag ska krossa hans fiender
framför honom
och slå ner dem
som hatar honom.
25 Min trofasthet och nåd
ska vara med honom,
i mitt namn ska hans horn
bli upphöjt.
26 (N) Jag ska lägga havet
under hans hand,
floderna under hans högra hand.
27 (O) Han ska ropa till mig:
"Du är min Far, min Gud
och min frälsnings klippa!"
28 (P) Jag ska göra honom
till den förstfödde,
till den högste
bland[d] kungarna på jorden.
29 Jag ska bevara min nåd
mot honom för evigt,
mitt förbund med honom
ska stå fast.
30 (Q) Jag ska låta hans ätt[e]
bestå i evighet
och hans tron
så länge himlen är till.
31 Om hans barn överger
min undervisning
och inte följer mina befallningar,
32 (R) om de bryter mina lagar
och inte håller mina bud,
33 då ska jag straffa deras brott med ris
och deras synd med plågor.
34 Men min nåd
ska jag inte ta ifrån honom,
jag ska inte svika min trofasthet.
35 (S) Jag ska inte bryta mitt förbund,
det mina läppar har sagt
ska jag inte ändra.
36 (T) En gång för alla
har jag svurit vid min helighet,
jag sviker inte David:
37 (U) Hans ätt ska bestå för evigt
och hans tron som solen inför mig,
38 (V) den ska bestå som månen
i evigheters evighet.
Och vittnet i skyn är trofast." Sela
39 Men nu har du förkastat
och förskjutit din smorde.
40 Du har upplöst förbundet
med din tjänare,
du har vanärat hans krona
och kastat den till marken.
41 (W) Du har rivit alla hans murar
och lagt hans borgar i ruiner.
42 (X) Alla som passerar på vägen
plundrar honom,
han blir hånad av sina grannar.
43 Du lyfte hans motståndares
högra hand,
du lät hans fiender jubla.
44 Du lät hans skarpa svärd ge vika
och stödde honom inte i striden.
45 Du har gjort slut på hans glans
och slagit hans tron till jorden.
46 Du har förkortat
hans ungdoms dagar,
du har täckt honom med skam.
Sela
47 (Y) Hur länge, Herre,
ska du hålla dig helt dold?
Hur länge ska din vrede
brinna som eld?
48 (Z) Tänk på hur kort mitt liv är,
hur förgängliga[f] du skapat
alla människors barn.
49 Vem kan leva och slippa se döden,
vem kan rädda sin själ
från dödsrikets våld? Sela
50 (AA) Herre, var är dina nådegärningar
från förr
som du lovade David med ed
i din trofasthet?
51 Herre, tänk på dina tjänares[g] vanära,
vad jag bär inom mig
från de många folken,
52 hur dina fiender hånar, Herre,
hur de hånar din smordes fotspår.
53 Välsignad är Herren i evighet!
Amen, amen.
