頌讚錫安

可拉後裔的詩。

87 耶和華的城座落在聖山上。
²在雅各的住處中，
祂最喜愛錫安的門。
³上帝的城啊，
人們傳揚你的榮耀。（細拉）

⁴「我要把埃及人^[a]、巴比倫人、非利士人、泰爾人和古實人列為認識我的民族，
視他們為錫安人。」
⁵至於錫安，必有人說：
「萬族必成為城中的居民，
至高者必親自堅立這城。」
⁶耶和華將萬民登記入冊的時候，
必把他們列為錫安的居民。（細拉）

⁷他們跳舞歌唱說：
「我們蒙福的泉源在錫安。」

87 The psalm of the song of the sons of Korah. The foundaments thereof be in holy hills; (The psalm of the song for the sons of Korah. Its foundations be upon the holy hill/s;)

²(and) the Lord loveth the gates of Zion, more than all the tabernacles of Jacob.

³Thou city of God, without end; glorious things be said of thee. (Thou city of God; may glorious things be said of thee forever.)

⁴I shall be mindful of Rahab, and Babylon; knowing me. Lo! aliens, and Tyre, and the people of Ethiopians; they were there. (I shall remember the people of Rahab, and of Babylon; they all know me. Lo! Philistia, and Tyre, and the Ethiopian people; they all were there.)

⁵Whether a man shall say to Zion, And a man is born therein; and that man, (the) alder Highest, founded it? (And of Zion it shall be said, This person, and that person, were born there; and the Most High himself founded it.)

⁶The Lord shall tell in the scriptures of (these) peoples; and of these princes, that were therein. (The Lord shall write of these peoples; and of their princes, or their leaders, who all were there.)

⁷As the dwelling of all that be glad; is in thee. (And they all shall dance; and they shall sing, In Zion is the Source of all our blessings.)

God Loves Jerusalem

A song of the sons of Korah.

87 The Lord built Jerusalem on the holy mountain.
²    He loves its gates
    more than any other place in Israel.
³City of God,
    wonderful things are said about you. Selah
⁴God says, “I will put Egypt and Babylonia
    on the list of nations that know me.
People from Philistia, Tyre and Cush
    will be born there.”

⁵They will say about Jerusalem,
    “This one and that one were born there.
    God Most High will strengthen her.”
⁶The Lord will keep a list of the nations.
    He will note, “This person was born there.” Selah
⁷They will dance and sing,
    “All good things come from Jerusalem.”
