Panalangin Upang Tulungan ng Diyos

Isang Panalangin ni David.

86 Sa aking dalangin, ako'y iyong dinggin,
    tugunin mo, Yahweh, ang aking pagdaing;
    ako'y mahina na't wala nang tumingin.

    pagkat sa iyo kaluluwa'y tumatawag.
Mapagpatawad ka at napakabuti;
    sa dumadalangin at sa nagsisisi,
    ang iyong pag-ibig ay mananatili.

    lalapit sa iyo't magbibigay galang;
    sila'y magpupuri sa iyong pangalan.
10 Pagkat ikaw lamang ang Diyos na dakila
    na anumang gawin ay kahanga-hanga!

11 Ang kalooban mo'y ituro sa akin,
    at tapat ang puso ko na ito'y susundin;
    turuang maglingkod nang buong taimtim.
12 O Panginoong Diyos, buong puso'y laan, pupurihin kita magpakailanman
    at ihahayag ko, iyong kadakilaan.
13 O pagkadakila! Pag-ibig mong wagas, dahil sa pag-ibig, ako'y iniligtas;
    di hinayaang masadlak sa daigdig ng mga patay.
    lubhang mahabagi't banayad magalit.
16 Pansinin mo ako, iyong kahabagan,
    iligtas mo ako't bigyang kalakasan,
    pagkat ako'y lingkod mo rin tulad ng aking nanay.
17 Pagtulong sa aki'y iyong patunayan;
    upang mapahiya ang aking kaaway,
    kung makita nilang mayroong katibayan na ako'y inaliw mo at tinulungan!

A Prayer for Help against Ruthless Men

A prayer of David.[a]

86 Incline, O Yahweh, your ear and answer me,
because I am poor and needy.
Watch over my life because I am faithful.
You are my God; save your servant.
I am the one who trusts you.
Be gracious to me, O Lord,
because I call to you all day long.[b]
Make glad the soul of your servant,
because I desire you,[c] O Lord.
For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving,
and abundant in loyal love[d] for all who call to you.
Heed, O Yahweh, my prayer,
and attend to the voice of my supplications.
In the day of my trouble I call to you,
because you answer me.
There is none like you among the gods, O Lord,
and there are no works like yours.
All the nations that you have made will come
and bow down[e] before you, O Lord,
and glorify your name.
10 For you are great and doing wondrous things;
you alone are God.
11 Teach me, O Yahweh, your way,
that I may walk in your truth.
Unite my heart[f] to fear your name.
12 I will give you thanks, O Lord my God, with all my heart,
and glorify your name forever,
13 because your loyal love is great toward me,
and you will have delivered my life from Sheol[g] below.
14 O God, arrogant men have risen up against me,
even a gang of ruthless men seek my life,
but they do not set you before them.[h]
15 But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,
slow to anger[i] and abundant in loyal love and faithfulness.
16 Turn to me and be gracious to me.
Give your strength to your servant,
and grant victory to the son[j] of your maidservant.
17 Do a sign that benefits me,
that those who hate me may see and be put to shame,
because you, O Yahweh, have helped me and comforted me.

86 Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

11 Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

17 Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
